Description of Work: In conjunction with the sale of my home, an inspector found I had issues with moisture behind the stucco. Frank Kenny was referred to me by an acquaintance and I was extremely impressed. Frank is obviously very knowledgeable on stucco issues, promptly provided an estimate, answered all of my follow-up questions and also spoke to the father of my home buyer several times (who is in the construction business) to satisfy him that everything was going to be properly remediated. He even suggested that the buyer send an inspector to follow along with his work to ensure they were satisfied. He began work about a month later, all of his men were great and very considerate, the worksite was left very neatly each night. Frank updated me regularly, and walked me around showing me the issues and what they were doing to remediate on a regular basis. Although it was a difficult situation, I was not expecting problems; Frank made the process as easy as possible. I highly recommend him.

Description of Work: Stucco remediation.

Description of Work: Following an inspection which indicated we needed remediation work, I contacted a number of remediation contractors. A friend of a friend had recommended Frank Kenny. Frank developed an estimate and tentative schedule -- we started in October, so weather could be a factor. The overall plan and price looked good, so we went with Frank. The work entailed removing all the stucco from our house (a two story, four bedroom house), fixing any and all damage underneath, replacing the sheathing particularly around the windows, and replacing the multiple layers of stucco. Because the sheathing around the windows is so critical, each window had to be removed so that the sheathing could be reapplied. In a few places the wall boards were damaged and had to be replaced. This work took two and a helf months. We started at the end of October and, because we had a mild winter, work could basically continue through the winter. Some of the problems were only discovered as the old stucco was removed. This required some reconstruction. To quote from an inspection conducted while the work was in progress: "All appropriate expansion joints, kick out flashings, control joints, drainage screeds, stop beads, head flashings, chimney chase cap, replacement of rotted trim, sheathing and other damaged areas were properly replaced. All appropriate sealant was installed with appropriate bond breaker used where required."
