They were very professional - and even did some time work (removing and replacing tile in my new bathroom) that I swore I'd never be able to get a regular handyman to handle. It looks great. They re-latticed around my deck and did a bunch of "little" stuff that we just never found time to get to.

Contacted the owner and discuss his possible installation of a gas fireplace insert. The owner was very helpful and knowledgeable. I have since purchased a system from another source so I did not use this service, except the information obtained on the phone. Has I purchase a gas fireplace insert on-line I would have used Jack of All Trades to perform the installation.

Great. Some minor adjustments to the door were needed. Glenn was back pronto to address. First class job. Lots of jobs to do around here in this 30 year old house. This is the guy to call. We plan to have him back for the rest of our lengthy to do list.

Glen called to advise me he was running late, which I appreciated. They protected the carpeting with a cloth prior to cleaning the fireplace. Very professional. I'd recommend Jack of All Trades, and will use in the future.

Glen checked the fireplace and furnace flues and upon examination, found several issues which needed to be addressed. After cleaning the firebox damper area and ash trap, he installed stainless steel liners in the furnace flues at our residence AND our rental house. He also installed flue caps at both locations and repaired our chimney crown at our residence (which had several cracks from a previous repair) with a special elastomeric coating. It all went well.

It took several weeks for them to get to us. However, they called to confirm the appointment several days ahead, and let me know when they were about to arrive. When they did come, they took on a job that turned out to be to have been a tough one. They had thought they were cleaning a fireplace, but our fireplace has an old stove in it. The stove is connected to a flexible liner that has been pulled up too close to an old flagstone chimney "cap". We were concerned that there were birds nests in the liner as we had heard birds in the chimney last spring. Pat brushed out the liner and brought out a lot of nesting material. The stove was vacuumed. I was happy and he left. He was a very professional and pleasant person. Unfortunately, when I started a fire the smoke kept building up in the stove and there was only a wisp of smoke coming out of the chimney. In the morning, I called them and was told that even though I wouldn't be available for much of the day, Glen would be be there and work around my schedule to fix whatever issues remained. Glen appeared, and brought another assistant with him. By the time they got to our house it was rapidly getting dark. As it developed, there still was more nesting material in the liner, and he cleaned it out. But, he said there was still something "hard" in the liner. To my great concern he walked up onto our metal roof in the dark, but he did successfully diagnose the situation and safely climbed back down. Whew! Once he was back at the stove he successfully pulled out more soggy nesting material. A few moments later the chimney was drawing smoke up easily, and as I write, I am happily enjoying a toasty fire. The layout of our chimney made the cleaning trickier than I had appreciated, and certainly, I never anticipated any of them climbing on our roof at night! I am impressed that they went beyond my expectations to resolve the problems in the liner. I am very grateful that Glen got safely off our roof! We have a working stove in a clean kitchen area, and know a lot more about the uniqueness of our chimney. I am delighted to have found these folks, and appreciate their professionalism. I look forward to asking them to help me with the challenges that our old farm house keeps handing us.

The service was fine. The guy who came out was punctual and he did exactly what he said he would. Everything just went smoothly. My interaction with him was good. He was friendly so everything worked out well. He came out probably within a short period after I purchased the big deal, maybe after about two weeks. I would most likely use his services again in the future.

It was very positive and the work was good. I had them do additional work and they came out very promptly after me purchasing it and I ended up spending about $350.

Jack of All Trades is very professional and responsive. Very often providers of these services are unreliable and don't call you back. Not the case here. They also can handle jobs from very small to very large. I like the one stop shop capability.

Glen is a wonderful provider for what ever is needed. He is very professional and kind. He will not leave a job that is not up to his standards.

I purchased a fireplace cleaning/inspection (an Angie's List Big Deal) . I was contacted the next day and a service call was scheduled. Glen performed the work I had paid for and gave me a written proposal for remedial work. His office later called to schedule the work. Glen and another man arrived at the exact time I was expecting them. They were on the job (a difficult one) for several hours and interacted calmly and respectfully. Although I often get more than one estimate for home repairs, I did not do so in this instance. I liked the courtesy and professionalism of Glen and his office and wanted to use the services of his company.

Great communication with scheduling and provider showed up on time. We have been in our home just over a year and had never used the fireplace because we were unsure of its condition. Provider did a complete clean and inspection and was very clear about maintenance schedule and how to use, clean, etc. In our case he found the chimney to be in excellent condition and gave no pressure for additional work. Excellent service from beginning to end. Bought the coupon online for $65 for one chimney sweep and inspection on Wednesday and called for an appointment on Thursday. Found out that they were not going to be there on Friday and I wanted to see if they would be available to do the work on the following Tuesday. Monday they call me back and I explained the situation. The lady said that she will talk to the owner to see if they could work something out. I was constrained with being available for business hours and Tuesday was the only time I could be available. She called me back and stated that he could fit it in to his schedule. On Tuesday, the owner called me and said that he had finished a job earlier than expected and wanted to know if he could show up earlier than scheduled. I said, "absolutely!", since I was home from work all day with other work being done. He showed up with an assistant. They properly covered the floor and used "booties" while in the house. The owner did all of the inspections while the assistant did the sweeping. They were both very professional during their time at the house. During the inspection, he showed me areas of concern and what could wait and what was a hazard requiring "sooner" attention. This included the recommendation not to use one of the fireplaces due to melted medal inside the flue. He suggested a options for it to include converting it to a non-vented gas fireplace. He wrote up an estimate and adjusted the estimate after we discussed options and taking in my suggestions for the fix. Gave me a written estimation for the work. Two weeks later, I received a call from his office to see if I wanted to make arrangements for the fix. I am waiting to get the money together to do the fix, but I will be calling them to do the work. They did one sweep, two chimney inspections and the heating system inspection all for the one coupon price of $65 which covered one chimney sweep and one inspection. First impressions of this company were very good.

Glen was very easy to work with. He responded promptly to our emails and calls. He answered questions and gave us a fair estimate. Most importantly he did an excellent job repairing our fence.

We did not use him because our son-in-law ended up doing the work.

He seemed very thorough and did not find any problems and did a very clean job. He seems to be a true jack of all trades! He showed me other jobs he had done and I will definitely consider his services for the future

There is no single word to describe how amazing this professional is so please allow me to make a list. Professional, hard working, honest, meticulous, dedicated to superior customer service, caring, understanding, great listener and multi-talented (electrical, carpentry, tile, painting, design). Here is how it all started. In April 2013, I decided to just change my very old brass framed master bath shower door to a new glass frameless door. I also wanted to have a new medicine cabinet built or installed and old window shutters removed with trim repainted. As always, I turned to Angie's list for possible contractors. Some didn't want a job this small. Other came and gave estimates that were to large because they kept expanding the scope of the job. Then Glen arrived. I had used Glen before to replace my chimney cap when it blew off in a storm so I knew he was pleasant to deal with. He listened and understood exactly what I wanted and my budget. He removed the old shutters and painted the trim so the area would be ready for my new shutters. He prepped the wall and painted so the area would be ready for my new custom medicine cabinet. Everything was going fine till the day the shower surrounds were removed to be replaced with new ones for the new shower door. Glen and I were shocked to find wet subflooring and wood joists when the surrounds were removed. The shower pan had failed. Thank god Glen was my contractor. He helped me to work with my insurance adjuster to ensure the problem was corrected and my shower was repaired properly. After all that drama, I now a completely new master shower and feel confident that I will never have to fix it again. So this shower remodel led to new bath fixtures for both bathrooms, 5 new light fixtures, Corian shelves inserted in the shower tiles for both baths, updated mirrors installed, new wall clock installed, interior bath painting, new cabinet pulls, bead board installed on existing cabinet, existing bathroom cabinets recaulked, two doors rescreened, and shaky garage steps repaired. I now have the bathrooms I always wanted. Glen was simply amazing and very patient throughout the whole process given the insurance delays and with me constantly adding items to his list. I was so happy to have the project completed and all within my allotted budget. Glen will be the only person I will call in the future. He can do it all and is a pleasure to work with. Thanks Glen for making my dreams come true. I was blessed to have you on my side through this project and look forward to a lot more projects in the future. Bottom line : If you want the best, Glen is your guy!!

Showed up on time and performed chimney cleaning after explaining what was to be done. Provided education on chimney liner, damper, and cap top. Glen and his assistant were very professional and friendly. I felt confident that Glen knew what he was talking about with our woodburning fireplace. I would definitely recommend Jack of all Trades and use them again.

Provider was very responsive and provided service for initial "special deal" which was for clean and inspect of the wood burning flue, which hadn't been inspected for at least 18 years. Traditional damper was known to need replacement. He was cordial and on time. Provided me with results of his inspection and made recommendations politely and without pressure. Took pictures of Chimney cap area to show me the damage. We discussed options and items that I wanted done as well. 2 unused flues were to be sealed, while 2 used ones needed to have weather caps. One of those 2 was to be provided with a top of chimney (remote) damper. He returned on schedule to do the planned work when parts were received. All went well, was timely and cleanup was admirable.

I have been cleaning the chimney every year for the past 7 years. So I was surprised by the stuff that came out this time. A big piece of mortars (probably from the time the house was built some 25+ years ago), small burnt pieces of styrofoam etc. None of the previous chimney sweepers had found anything. One had even taken the dumper off because it was not opening properly (because of the mortar sitting behind it apparently). Glen, the owner, came on time, did a very thorough sweeping and left the area around the fireplace cleaner than it was. He provides a lot of handyman services, and I intend to use his services again.

I had a tight schedule and he was able to adjust his schedule to help me. Showed up right on time. Made recommendations for repairs that were inexpensive. I would recommend this service.

The worker arrive on time but were some what disturbed about installing the wall sleeve. I gave them the instructions on how to install the wall sleeve. They did not completely follow the instructions the unit grill should not be inside the wall which I told them but they said it could not go any further. Next they had to install the door knob which they said they could not do the installation, SO they decide to leave and said to talk to the office about the door, So I called the and E-mailed them and a week later they cane back installed the new door knob and dead bolt.
