Green Lawn Fertilizing

UPDATE: I'm not sure what Green Lane's definition of "as soon as possible" is, but it's been over a week since they responded to my initial review stating that a manager would be in touch with me, and I have yet to receive a call or e-mail from them. My guess is that they were less interested in making things right, and more interested in giving the appearance on this site that they had dealt with my complaint. Unfortunately, Angie's List does not allow you to give someone a lower score than "F" in responsiveness. After purchasing the deal, Green Lawn e-mailed me to set up the application of the treatment. I e-mailed them back and explained that I had purchased the deal because I am planning to have an outdoor party at our home in October and wanted to find out how long the treatment typically lasts to be able to schedule the application at an appropriate time. Came home from work the day after I sent that e-mail to find out that Green Lawn came out and applied the treatment. I still have had no response to my e-mail (sent over a week ago now), and we still have mosquitos. The old adage of getting what you pay for was definitely true in this case.

Scheduling was easy, they arrived like they said they would and since then I've noticed a major reduction in the amount of mosquitos on our property. Thanks!

Great service company. When I thought I had fertilizer burn, they came out for a free service call and diagnosed it as red thread. I’ve never worked with a lawn company who actually knows lawns beyond the basics. They also came out and reapplied a treatment after a huge rainstorm, no questions asked. They’re very knowledgeable, and their customer service is great. I signed up for their aeration/overseeding, and they were able to give me some advice on how to turn over some mulch beds into lawn. Again, they know their stuff, and the person you talk to on the phone isn’t just a office person; they know what they are talking about, and my lawn look great!

No mosquitoes since the yard was treated.

They had a small problem with their equipement and needed to change the original date, but came when expected. We haven't had any mosquitoes.

The communication with the provider was excellent. We requested that the spraying be done while we were present because we have specific areas that attract mosquitos, so it was arranged for a day we would be home. Since the usual window is 4 hours and we did not have that flexibility, they arranged to do us first thing in the morning, and were very prompt. We are very pleased with the professionalism and quick responsiveness of the company. Thank you.

Green Lawn was quick to contact me and set up a date for service. They preformed the service on the day they said they would and everything went well. They are pleasant to speak to and I would certainly hire them again.

It went well. It worked for a few weeks, and they did a good job.

We have a lot of foliage, trees, and ivy in the back and front yard. We purchased additional services to cover all of the area and they have done three treatments so far. Each additional treatment is $69. There were some issues with scheduling and not showing up for appointments. They gave me two free treatments for the troubles. The deal was well. The company had done everything they can to make some of their issues correct. There are still are still biting flies and I will be calling them about this. They are customer oriented. For the most part, I think that they are a good, reputable company.

They came on their without an appointment and left flyer on the door. I was home so I saw and heard him do the work. I went out and said hello. I think the mosquitos are less now.

Very good service at good value - really improved the way my lawn looks!

I was not home when the spraying was done, so I do not know where they sprayed, but the mosquito population has not dimished. We are located backing up to a woods and a wetland, and I would hope that they concentrated their spraying in that area, but it does not seem so. I guess I was expecting too much for the Angie's List deal.

I originally gave this company a poor rating. I felt that it was warranted. I received a call from the company asking about the reasons for the poor rating. I explained the situation. After the phone call I believe that, in the end, it was the fault of the tech that they sent. I was assured that the problem would be rectified. The company sent a new tech to re-treat the property. I received an email the night before treatment (last night) as requested, and a phone call (also requested) before they arrived so I could bring the dogs into the house if they were in the yard. The gentleman who applied the treatment explained what he was doing, and all the surfaces that he would treat. He was extremely polite and knowledgeable. I asked the tech how long I would have to wait until the dogs could go in the yard and he told me how the product was applied and that it would take around 45 minutes from completion. He also told me to close all windows as the treatment was airborne. I was happy that he explained the process. All in all I am satisfied with the company and their employees. They went above and beyond to rectify the problem.

Customer service is easy to reach and helpful. They will quickly send out a technician if you report a problem such as lawn disease.

Appointment was confirmed but employee didn't show up. I called to complain and someone was there the next day. Once someone arrived, he was professional and courteous. While I haven't seen any noticeable change in our lawn after only 1 week, I expect positive results.

They stated they are not allowed to go through the house to get to the yard and would not be able to complete the work.

That turned out pretty good and it was pretty straight forward. He came out and sprayed the yard. It took less than 30 minute. One thing I was not happy about thought was the first time the office called me, they were trying to sell me a package, before the employee even came out to do the treatment.

I started with Green Lawn a few years ago with a lawn that was 80% ground ivy and other weeds. It took some time, but I am pleased with the grass and lack of weeds in my lawn. If I have a question or concern, one phone call and a technician is sent to remedy the situation. The company is a pleasure to work with and I will continue with their service. I recommend them highly.

They were very helpful and professional. There was an issue with their equipment on the first visit, and they quickly rescheduled. The only issue was that I didn't get a notification that they had completed the job.

Service is excellent. The company is very reliable and comes on the day they promise. They will also call a day in advance to inform you that they plan to treat the lawn/shrubs and ask if this is okay. Also, if you are not satisfied with the treatment, they will come back to re-treat at no additional charge.

Sometimes, after a bad outcome, one can really tell how well a company is dedicated to its customers. After the first anti-mosquito application, I thought I had put 29.00 dollars into the trash and I was thinking this deal had sounded too good to be true. BOY WAS I WRONG. Shortly after writing the review to Angie’s list, I was contacted by Chris DeJohns, the operating manager for the lawn company. During our conversation, he immediately scheduled a follow up treatment. Then we met and he educated me about their mosquito treatments, lawn treatments and their other products. I was very impressed. In my opinion, this company truly strives for quality service and quality costumer care. In all, they provided 3 treatments for the price on one. My family, my friends and I enjoyed being outside during the summer with hardly a mosquito being seen. I wanted to hire the company for other lawn services. Fortunately, Mr. DeJohn and his company are not out to just sell me a product. For example, my home is located on a very hilly lot. He educated me that their equipment would not be able to apply their granular products effectively on my lawn. He actually told me that in my case, I would do better with a chemical company. In order to provide me a better service, he actually sent me to another company. Now, that is service. It is my loss that I am not able to hire this company for my other lawn services needs. However, I will recommend this company to my friends. (I cannot say neighbors because our development is very hilly.)

They were great. I had become very busy and dropped the ball on arranging a date, and some people might not like this, but they just came over and did it when they had an opening- one thing off my list as far as I was concerned. I have had an eye opening experience in my yard since then- I am going to do this every year from now on. I am a mosquito magnet and thought they would just show up from 'next door' or something, but it has been amazingly bug and bite- free.

I have had this company several years and appreciate that when I call for repeat service, they are very prompt in respnding to my call

Application was applied by our technican Jeremy Karalis. He was attentive and applied the treatment to every inch of the parimeter as required. He was prompt and curteous.

Showed up on time. Did the job and left.
