Green Lawn Fertilizing

I purchased my first annual contract with Green Lawn Fertilizing last year. After trying to fertilize my own lawn for several years and seeing limited success in fighting off weeds and then trying one or two of the big chain fertilizing companies with no success, I gave up. I finally selected Green Lawn because of all the great reviews on Angie's List, and I'm very glad I did. Within two weeks of the first lawn treatment, I already saw a significant difference in the amount of weeds that were growing. By the following month, my lawn was looking fabulous - green, lush and relatively weed-free. All of my neighbors mentioned how good my lawn looked so I was really pleased with the service. Each time their employees come out, they are in uniform, in a clearly marked truck (for those of us who are concerned about safety) and are very courteous. I think I have called Green Lawn just twice in the past two years for extra treatments between my regularly scheduled maintenance calls, due to a proliferation of one weed or another. Both times the employees have been friendly about the request and have quickly scheduled another visit. I'm now on my second year with Green Lawn and very satisfied with their service. They are well worth the annual maintenance cost, which is not much more than trying to fertilize on your own but with a much better return on investment.

Overall, nice experience dealing with the company - easy to schedule, timely service, professional. The only reason I put B on quality has to do with the service itself - it doesn't fix the issue with mosquitoes if only one household/yard is sprayed. To be honest, that didn't help at all - i still was eaten alive through the summer by these pests (they might not be in my trees and bushes, but they visited shamelessly). Any other service provided by this company should be much more productive.

Did a great job fertilizing my lawn; he came did the lawn at a excellent price!

It was fine. Not that I would see any improvement immediately but they did come out and they were responsive. I didn't have any likes or dislikes. I purchased it and they came out and did the work so I guess everything was fine.

I love them. I found them through a special on Angie's List. They fertilize the lawn and give advice about what it needs. The people who do the fertilizing are very professional. They do a good job, quickly. There's a big noticeable change in the lawn. I had a problem where I'd scheduled an extra application before the winter, then found out that my husband had already treated the lawn. I called them within a few minutes and told them to cancel. The guy who came out, didn't get that message. He came and treated the lawn. I called to find out if it was OK if there was a second application on the lawn and that I'd cancelled it. They told me that they wouldn't charge me for the application since I'd cancelled and that the extra treatment wouldn't hurt the lawn. I've already contracted to have them come out next season.

We purchased an Early Fall Lawn Fertilization Treatment via the Angie's List Big Deals. We were promptly contacted by Green Lawn Fertilizing and got the fertilization scheduled within few days. Everything went as expected and we were definitely happy with the service.

Weather played a rule in not getting the application done at timely matter

While they did what they were supposed to do, there wasn’t a difference in the amount of mosquitos. I would consider using them for a different service.

They were very professional. They even contacted me after the service to make sure everything was okay and if I needed anything additional. I was very happy with them.

It was excellent. We had the best mosquito-free summer. I would use them again if I still lived in the area. They replied in a timely fashion.

They said they would call 2 days before service but did not call. Service person left invoice but didn't give me the details that the form said they would give, i.e. what products were used on lawn. Also, I can't read the hand writing of the service person so I'm not sure what they suggest under the category of 'future recommendations'. The price is great I just wish the communication would have been better and that they would have alerted me to service date like they said they would. I can't give a good grade when provider didn't communicate schedule as they said they would. That is important to me. I am simply assuming that they performed treatment as expected...I planned to be present during treatment as this was a new vendor and I wanted to be sure they covered the entire yard.

It is one of those hard things to tell. They didn’t show up on time initially but it was done. You can’t tell whether there are more mosquitoes or less, it is not something you can gauge. They didn’t charge me anymore than the big deal amount. That was a good price. They were late.

I am the person who always gets bit--if there's one mosquito and only one person gets a bit, it's me. I was very excited to try this service since I spend a fair amount of time in my backyard with the dog, gardening, etc. and we have a rather large 4th of July party as well. Well I saw zero decrease in my bites. I use Deep Woods off--and they still get me. And there was no change at all after the service was performed. I did call, and I had a really nice conversation with a delightful represenative who talked me through the process. It's clearly subjective as mosquitoes can fly over from the neighbor's house etc. so of course they can't control the world... It's just that I saw no decrease and therefore see no value in the service. They assure me others have been thrilled with the process, so perhaps it works for others.

At first I thought it went fine. Scheduling was done as expected and the work was done a few days before we got back from vacation. I saw a decreased amount of mosquitos in our yard throughout the rest of the summer. They left an invoice for a balance due. I called to inform them of the fact that I purchased the treatment through Angies List and they said they saw it, apologized and told me to disregard the invoice. Since then I have received 2 or 3 calls from them harrassing me for payment. During the last call, I was promised it would not happen again and that it has been noted. Last week I received a letter from this company with the tone of a collections company. It seems that there is evident disorganization in this office and a lack of communication all around. I am not sure if it is bad software in their computer systems, bad training of employees or a bad accounting department, but it has been VERY frusterating to deal with this company.

Green Lawn Fertilizing has excellent customer service, they send an email in advance of the scheduled treatment, then leave the property with a sign to let them know they have treated the lawn. I appreciate the report outlining the treatment provided that day.

The service turned out great. I thought they were professional and on time. They were true to their word. I would use them again and I would recommend them.

No issues – it went fine. He treated .7 of an acre of land.

Green Lawn was brilliant. They were friendly and helpful on the phone and in person, and punctual and efficient on the job. The lawn looks great, and the mosquito control we added this year was a godsend for our daughter (reacts strongly to bites), letting her spend time out in the yard instead of hiding in the house. Importantly, Green Lawn did a great job maintaining our lawn without killing the plants and flowers in the beds adjacent to the lawn (which our previous provider failed at, leading us to find Green Lawn). Great service, fair price.
