Green Lawn Fertilizing

ok - our lawn had a lot of mushrooms when in previous years it only had 1 or 2 after a good rainy week. They said that was the sign of a healthy lawn but not so fun having to constantly pick them so our dog and kids didn't go after them. Also, our front lawn has a large-shaped U on it by the curb where it looks like dead grass. No idea how that got there, but it wasn't there before they started servicing. Mystery. also didn't like how they automatically came and aerated our property when we hadn't signed up for it. they said they sent me an email the day before they came so i should have known and canceled then; but we were out of town and i don't check that email account everyday. also, i never signed up for it in the first place. To top it off, they did it at the beginning of a 2wk stretch of dry, 90deg (late summer) heat.. and we weren't home, so the lawn didn't get the proper care it needed after being aerated. They did remove the cost for the service from our bill when I called to complain, although I had to fight about it and ask for a senior manager to get involved. They also auto-renew you, which is convenient, i guess, but i only found out (b/c i didn't read the fine print which they told me was on every bill - we auto-pay so didn't ever read the bill since it was the same price every time) when the guy showed up at my door yesterday. Again, they had sent an email the previous afternoon saying someone was coming, but I didn't see the email (and again, it's going to be snowing and 30deg for the next week, so not sure it's the right time to be doing the first service anyway??). So, after 1 season we canceled. Our lawn was fine - it wasn't in bad shape before and stayed in ok shape all Year.

Very well, always notified me before they came. Each tech are well trained to deliver a great service.

Weeds were controlled well. However summer heat and drought still stressed lawn.

I am not hiring them back. I am going on with different company with this year. Their price was average. They missed an application I have called them up to reschedule. I would not use them again. I would say that they pay customer service lip service and not real service because like the guy who came in knocking on my door which is like put this whole plant together and tell me he would be back out and he never called. I am not getting service directly done.

It went very well. Only had three treatments (out of 7 per year) towards the end of the year so I won't know the overall affect until next summer, but I definitely saw improvement in the lawn already.

Green Lawn Fertilizing is the third lawn fertilizing company I've used and by far the best! They call or leave a message to say what day they will be coming. I've called several times in the extreme heat of summer and have told them to delay their service until it wasn't so hot. They are very accommodating. If I've had any concerns whatsoever, they have been dealt with over the phone or by sending a tech and/or supervisor to my home. I can't begin to tell you how many people have told me how nice my lawn looks. Great company and customer service!

So far so good....fertilizers work but weed control is little iffy. Other services such aeration and seeding are little pricey. I would recommend to shop around for more economical alternatives.

Sean did an excellent job again this year, especially given the harsh summer conditions we had in August. Some area's of dead grass, but weed control was great. Only negative is their cost for aeration.

Right from the first application, my lawn started to die. There were several large brown areas. I called them about the problem. They sent the technician out, but offered no fixes nor solutions except telling me to wait and see. I gave it time and continued using their service. Applications 2 to 4 were OK. The lawn didn't die that much but showed no sign of a healthy lawn. It even looked worse than other previous years when I didn't do anything on it. I didn't know what they put down on my lawn, but it obviously didn't help the lawn grow at all, except killing it. Application 5 was the worst. The lawn died even more that I have to reseed it myself. They also broke my fence gate. The technician didn't even say sorry on that day. The manager didn't even call to say sorry. They acted as if nothing happened. Finally, I had the time to call them about the gate. I left them a voice message on September 27, 2016 but they never called me back.

Spring went well and then summer came and the weeds took over. They sprayed in between regular visits and it never improved. Very disappointed after spending all that money.

terrible. Not only does my lawn look the worse its ever been with weeds everywhere but their communication is terrible.

We've been really pleased with the results. Our lawn looks wonderful and it's much improved since they began working on it. I especially like the fact that they'll alert me by e-mail before they come because we have a dog and we like to keep him off the lawn for a day after the treatment, just as a precaution. We like the service and I'd recommend them to friends.

The only negative I have is that we've been getting mushrooms this year. They indicate that this means our soil is healthy. Our grass looks great, but we're constantly pulling up mushrooms.

Great service and customer support. They have an online portal for viewing scheduled appointments and reviewing work that has been done.

We have a new large deck in the backyard this year and we want to make sure we can enjoy it without being invaded by mosquitoes all summer long. I contacted Green Lawn because they had a 50% offer for the initial treatment and I could go on a regular maintenance plan. Seemed pretty straightforward since it requires multiple treatments to keep those insects away. To my surprise the technician that came out was a true professional. He walked my property explained the process, what I should look out for and spotted some issues with some work a landscaper had done before we purchased our home....correctable, but without this knowledge I could have potentially lost lots of trees. I feel like I got more than my monies worth with this company and I'm very happy that I have the service plan....I'm sure I will be using them for other things in the near future. I couldn't have asked for more....very pleased with this company

I wasn't happy with it at all. The grass started getting brown. I never had the problem before. Patches just kept coming up. I found out after the fact that it was grubs. I still have grubs. I got somebody else this year. But, I pointed it out to them. I had no idea what it was. The guy kept saying I should get my blades on my mower sharpened and all kinds of things like that. If anything, the lawn was worse than ever before. The guy that came was always nice and respectful. He just didn't do the job. His behavior was good.

Great actually. They came and did the treatment. I used the deal shortly after the purchase date. I think within two or three days they called to schedule the appointment. Within a week they did come out and do the treatment. There were no additional costs.

I purchased the $29 Angie's List deal for fertilizing up to a 1/4 acre lawn. Since I only wanted my back lawn treated, I contacted a sales agent via e-mail prior to buying the service and was assured that my back lawn would qualify for the $29 price. I purchased the deal and selected 3 possible dates for the application. Someone from the company called several days later and left a voice message regarding a desired date for the fertilizer application and that, due to the size of our back yard, we would be subject to an additional payment of $16.95. Since we were leaving for vacation and I had confirmation in writing from a different individual at the company that the work would be performed for the original $29, I didn't return the call figuring I could clarify the situation after we returned. When we returned home, we found that the fertilization had been done and also found an invoice for $46. I contacted the original sales associate and he apologized for the confusion and to disregard the additional charge...unfortunately, unknown to me, my wife had already mailed the check...oh well. When I told him our check for the $46 had already been sent, he offered to credit us the additional charge toward a lime-treatment of our lawn. Since that would have cost us even MORE money, I declined and we let the matter go. In general, the lawn seemed to respond well to the treatment and, even with the additional charge, I may not have been able to do it myself for that amount and saved a lot of walking behind a spreader in the process. I guess this sort of confusion may happen when dealing with 2 different people for the same service.
