After 50 years the cement laundry finally developed a major leak. After checking with Angie's list, Golden Rule seemed like a good choice. I spoke with Tim and made arrangments for him to stop over and give me an estimate. He arrived as scheduled and we checked out the tub. He agreed that it had seen better days and I would need a new one. I told him I wanted a heavy duty laundry tub and a nice faucet set and he told me he had a pretty good idea of what I wanted. He said he would send me an estimate and brochures on the tub and faucet he was recommending. They arrived in a couple of days and I told him to proceed. We had scheduled the install for Thursday the next week. He gave me a call on Tuesday and asked if we could put it off until the week after as he had two emergency repairs and it threw his schedule off. Since my tub was not an emergency I agreed and we scheduled for the next week. The guys showed up as scheduled and in about 4 hours I had a new laundry tub. They were neat and cleaned up well and I was very satisfied with the results. I would certainly call on them again if I have any more plumbing problems.

Excellent. Better than expectations.

Water was leaking from the ceiling in the living room. Above the room is a bathroom and a washer. There was no water on the floor in the bathroom or in front of the washer. My husband and I were at a lost where the water was coming from. I called Golden Rule and they were out that afternoon. They identified the problem was the shower in the master bathroom and fixed it that afternoon. I would use them for any plumbing issue I have

The service was performed to expectations. Tim was neat, made sure everything was in good working order and made certain there were no leaks. Would recommend for any plumbing job.

i received a response phone call wwithin 24 hrs of my request. Within 2 days they came and gave me an estimate with 2 weeks they came a fixed my problem. Very professional, very skilledI highly recommend them

they arrived on time and resolved the blackage in the main vent.

I am so glad we used Golden Rule Plumbing! Tim arrived to the disgusting job and was friendly & professional. When he had suspected the flooding was township related, he helped me talk to the township when they were trying to give me the run around. He spoke in my behalf for me to the township workers when they came to inspect the problem. We did find out shortly after that the problem was due to our neighbor having a lateral connection with our home. He talked to our neighbor for us, asking him to please stop using his water temporarily for every time he flushed, water was pouring out of our toilet by the gallons. He was able to get the water pressure down in the toilet so he could remove the toilet & snake the drain. He also talked to the insurance company for me. He was at our house for 4 hours and charged a lot less than I was expecting.

Called the company twice and the first time someone said they would call me back with a price and the second time I left a message Never received a call either time.

My toilet was leaking and I had Tim from Golden Rule Plumbing replace all the insides of the toilet. Our home is approximately 12 years old - so I will probably replace all the toilets within the next year. Since it was not an emergency, I scheduled for the first available appointment which was 2 working days from my initial call. This was very responsive. Tim was on time, very clean and provided me with options for some of my replacement needs. Everything working great now. I also had Tim clean out a drain which has been a slow and steady pain - clogging about once every 6 - 9 months. He cleared the drain and treated the pipes with a product to help dissolve as much as the build up as possible. My sink is now clean. Plumbing services are always difficult to find - whether it is price or service which traditionally separates everyone. I thought Golden Rule had both. I would recommend them to anyone in my area.

We downloaded the $25.00 coupon so that is already a plus:) The man who performed the work did a good job on the majority of the the work. There were just a few issues i.e. not having cement and not checking the leaky faucet before he left the site. That is the reason I did not rate every category A. The owner of the company did respond to our complaint and fixed the problem free of charge. That is why they are rated A in overall experience.

It is nice to deal "nice" people! Tim was great to work with. It was a pretty basic job but he was one of the most courteous plumbers I have ever worked with. I would definitely recommend them.

I was overall quite disappointed with the customer service experience. Tim did not finish the job and I called several times with no answer. In addition he was supposed to give me an estimate on another job but never return my calls. I'm a bit surprised to see the positive reviews given my overall negative experience. Update: I talked to Tim. I think there could've been a mixup. He came over and provided a thorough review of the situation. July 2013: I had an excellent experience with Tim even though my experience with the water pressure pump manufacturer, Davey pumps, was not very good. In addition to fixing some toilets, Tim also replaced my water pressure pump. My water pressure pump was still under warranty, so they first sent out another pump which turned out to be effective. Tim could have charged significantly more for the work you did, but luckily he didn't. The water pump is working very well right now.

It was about 8:00 pm and the valve in my bathtub failed and I was unable to shut off the water. I called Tim that night and asked if he could come in the morning and he was there first thing to replace the valve. Response was very quick, work was great, and the pricing was fair.

Initial examine was done and maintenance was scheduled for the following week. Experience was over all great.

They were fantastic. They came in and did excellent work. They were reasonable in their pricing and answered questions about anything. It was a very pleasant experience as opposed to other plumbers. They were obviously young guys but they really knew what the h*ll they were doing. I'll be using them again in the next two weeks. They were outstanding.

Called to request help with a blocked sink. The person who answered the phone was professional and offered to call me back once they had checked availability. He called back very quickly and offered a time later that day. I accepted. 30 minutes before I arrival I received another call from the plumber to inform me that he was on his way. He arrived on time, was friendly, professional and quick to evaluate the problem. He got to work immediately and had the issue solved in 20 minutes. He cleaned up after himself and (without prompting) quoted the same price as I had been told on the phone. I joined Angie's list because I had been having trouble finding a good plumber for this issue. I had previously called roto-rooter, but they wouldn't give me a price until they arrived. If they arrived and their price was expensive, I'd probably have to wait another day until I could get somebody else out. With the $25 Angie's list discount (and even without it), the price was better than the other two local plumbers I found on Angie's list.

I called Golden Rule after receiving 2 other quotes from bigger companies. They came in the lowest and were able to start quickly. Once they got started we found that the broken pipe was under my front patio, and would be inaccessible. They came up with a new plan that involved digging a new path into the house, and abandoning the old portion of the line. This was a lot more work and they still came in under the budget of the big companies. I am very pleased with the work Golden Rule did. They left the yard in pretty good shape, and grass has already regrown. Everything is working as it should again.

Overall the leak was fixed and I have a new shower faucet. I had not expected to have so many holes made in my walls and ceiling but that is to be expected. I had no idea what the cost would be and was a little surprise to spent 250.00 but having a water leak into your kicthen from the upstair bathroom you don't have much in options other to get it fixed. Mike the plumber was nice enougth to wait while we ran out and purtchased a new faucet after he installed it. Overall the experience went fine and I would recommend this plumber. I was aslo glad to use Angie list to find this plumber. My neighbor provided me a recommendation for a plumber he used but I decided to go with the list since I felt more comfortable with the ratings.

Found listing on Angie's list and called. My call was answered straight away, and an employee was at my house within an hour. A damaged faucet was replaced, a leaking pipe joined and replaced, and shutoff valve installed. A very fast job, tidy and professional. It's very hard to find a good plumber around here, but now I have I'll definitely be using them again.

They were flexible and helpful in determining the date of their work and the actual work needed. Their price was reasonable and the work was done in a timely manner. They left the kitchen clean and in good working order.

Our One touch kitchen faucet was falling apart and I decided to call Golden Rule to replace it. Tim reached out immediately and took the time out to ask me the right questions and gave good suggestions so I can make the final decision . He also looked at my suggestion for the replacement faucet and gave price comparison. I would defintely recommend and use Golden Rule Plumbing Company again. A+++ service.

I called Golden Rule Plumbing in the morning, and they said that someone could be at my home that afternoon. Tim arrived at about 4:20pm. He fixed the problem with the kitchen sink drip immediately. I knew that the laundry room faucet was going to be a tough job. Our supply lines are 3/8" rather than 1/2", and no shut-offs were installed for this faucet. The supply lines come up from a concrete floor. I informed the people in the office at Golden Rule Plumbing that we had 3/8" lines and provided pictures of the sink and lines. When Tim arrived, he hadn't been able to obtain the necessary parts to fix the faucet in 3/8" and suggested that he might come back the next day to do the job. I suggested converting to 1/2" as the first step. He said that would work and went to the nearby Ace Hardware to get the necessary parts. He came back about an hour later with the parts. Draining the lines was a slow and messy process, since you couldn't put a bucket under the pipes and let them drain into it. Once the pipes were drained, Tim was able to convert from 3/8" to 1/2", and install 1/2" lines and parts from there. Unfortunately, the fittings were stubborn, and he had to fight with persistent drips at the faucet. He stayed until the drips were controlled, and then billed for the time it should have taken rather than real-time. Unfortunately, one of the drips returned an hour or so after he left. He had also left his tool box behind, so he was back at my home at 7:15 the next morning. He sealed up the remaining drip and picked up the items he had left behind for no additional charge. I would have rated Overall and Quality "A" if the job hadn't required Tim to return and if the parts didn't have bite marks from his wrenches on them as a result of his attempts to stop the leaks. I would have rated Professionalism an "A" if he had been prepared to do the job when he arrived. While the process took longer than expected, the end result is a working, drip-free faucet. I know that doing it myself would have taken longer and wouldn't have gone any smoother (to say the least). Therefore, I'm satisfied with the work that Golden Rule Plumbing performed.
