Used this company to replace my heating system and add central A/C 22 years ago. They did a good job so when my A/C failed last June, they were the first company called for an replacement estimate. Estimator showed up promptly and promised a written estimate within a few days. After about a week I sent the estimator an email regarding the replacement system, he wanted to know what would be the next steps. I replied, "Send a written estimate" but never heard from them again! Selected from one of the other estimates and as a courtesy, sent each company contacted an email stating I had selected another company including what I thought were the pluses & minus of each proposal. Every company replied with a Thank You except Brandywine Valley, never heard from them. Business must be good since Brandywine Valley made zero effort to obtain a $5,000 job. Was very satisfied with Brandywine Valley's work 22 years ago but after my latest experience will never do business with them again.

Brandywine is well organized and well run. It always sends reminders and calls to make annual maintenance visits. They are prompt, clean, and professional. They have been our contractor for >15 years and we've never had reason to look elsewhere. We've had a couple of emergency calls and they always arrive within the window and sometimes earlier. Their fees are reasonable and they don't try to "make" work or sales.

I’ve had them forever, they’re great. They’re always responsive. They take care of everything for you. They’re pretty much comparable with everybody else. They’re usually here when they say they are going to be. There was a contract thing included, it was like $453 and that also paid for a maintenance contract. They will come and check it twice a year, both of my systems. I have 2 heating systems and cooling also. I haven’t changed them in years.

Excellent. They billed me five hundred dollars for all the lost refrigerant. I was under contract for all that period of time. The system is maybe ten years old. That was kind of ridiculous, and I thought they should have stand behind the thing a little bit. The price for refrigerant is a very expensive. I was very disappointed in that aspect. Their quality was very good. They thawed it out, and took care of it.

I've been using them for 22 years. It's a yearly contract. I have heat and I have air conditioning is why I stay with them. The workers are very nice.

Steve was our technician and he is excellent. He is informative, expert and friendly.

Brandywine Valley Heating & Air Conditioning was incredibly professional. They care about addressing making sure their customers are delighted with the workmanship and provide excellence, diagnostic expertise and thorough evaluations of the HVAC system. My technician was superb.

The tech said the water line for the humidifier need to be taken from the hot line, but he was scared to touch it to make a switch, then he said the whole humidifier setup was wrong and gave me a 600 quote to fix it all. I did not want to entrust a 600 dollar job with someone who was not even confident to make a simple water line switch.

Brian, our technician, was prompt, courteous, friendly and professional. He reassured us that our old system did not need to be replaced immediately and encouraged to continue to maintain the system as we regularly do.

Ron is our technician. He is always very courteous, clean and efficient.

Steve was extremely helpful and tried to find us as many options as he could to keep our current furnace. We ended up deciding to replace the AC and furnace at one time. Joel and Zachary the installation and they were very professional and courteous. Kept everything clean and stayed to get the job finished. Joel really seemed to know what he was doing.

Technician kept me informed of arrival time so I knew when to expect him. Tech was courteous and cleaned up the work area when done.

He was in and out with the problem fixed in 30 min. He showed me the part the was bad, and replaced it. Sorry, but I can't remember what it's called. I'm very pleased with the work.

I took a day off to get an estimate. They came no problem and took a look. I was promised an email with estimate the next day. I never got it. Three times I called and spoke with someone over the next three weeks. Each time I was promised a call back with an estimate. Still haven't received it. I was ready to spend $6,000 with this company if I could just get an estimate. What a waste of time. Will never do business or recommend this company.

Yesterday morning, Brandywine said if they didn't make it to my house tonight - they would be there today. They didn't show up or call yesterday. I called them at 2:15pm this afternoon to find out when they would be at my house - the customer support guy said they got "many calls" today and wouldn't make it to my house today either. The customer support guy said, "Someone misspoke if they promised to be at your house today". I replied that no one promised me - they just said they would be at my house that day or the next. He then replied, that the company "got a lot of calls today". I reminded him that I called YESTERDAY - before the people who called today. He conceded it was "an oversight". He could have dispatched someone to my house today and rightfully putting me ahead of people who called today. He did not offer an remedy nor an assurance that they would be out early tomorrow It's worth to note - I have a wife that's been working from in 80 degrees - and three children aged 2, 4 and 6. They are uncomfortable as well. I think the thing that bothers me the most if the insincerity of their customer support team. There were no apologies or attempts to get someone out tonight or early tomorrow. It's as if they give you false assurances to get your business.

I had used Brandywine Valley for routine semi-annual heating/cooling checkups and this past June, when our A/C starting acting up, we gave them a call. They found a tech quickly to come out (within 24 hours) and check things out - we weren't completely without A/C, just warmer than we wanted. He found the source of the problem, a coolant leak somewhere in the system was causing the issue and he explained a few of the options. If it was a simple leak, it could only be a few hundred dollars, but if it was the coils or more, we're taking a few thousand in total. Well, considering the age of the system, it was enough for me to talk about replacing the whole unit, plus the furnace - since it was the same age. Steve from Brandywine was at our place the next day, gave us a run-down on the options, using Trane equipment. We opted for much more efficient units than we originally had, but not the highest (costliest) units. We were also able to get a whole house humidifier and advanced air filter well below my budget. They arrived in about 3 days to do the work, wearing proper foot covering, laying down protection on our hardwood flooring and basement stairs. They took about 1-1/2 days to complete the installation of the new heater, A/C, new piping and duct work. Once installed, it tested and operated perfectly. We were very pleased with the outcome. After the system had been installed for about a week and a half, Steve was on-site again doing a follow-up on the install, verifying our satisfaction with the job and taking pictures of their fine work. All in all, I'm very impressed with their organization, everyone I've talked to has been helpful, respectful and courteous. I made the right decision to go with them years ago for tune ups to my old system, and the right decision on having them put in the new system.

Firstly I used Brandywine Valley for maintenance on our older unit. They always did a thorough 'tuneup' (more than the previous company). I contacted them about a replacement and Mark came out to the house and looked at the old unit and our duct-work to get enough info to write us a proposal. He clearly separated the primary work from a couple of optional items we discussed and told us about rebate programs available. After we sent them our deposit we scheduled the work which started on time and went very smoothly. The project manager came out to the house ahead of time to check the site, make sure they would have everything they needed, etc. The new installation went very smoothly, is much neater, and the unit oriented in the basement in a smarter fashion than previously. The outside unit is on short legs which the old unit wasn't. The legs help keep it out of snow and allow any condensation to drain better. They essentially replace everything - condensate pump, tubing, line to the outside unit, circuit breakers, air handler, outdoor unit, ... A few days after the install, Mark returned to inspect the work and give us all the paperwork we needed to file for our rebates. I really can't think of anything that I wish happened differently.

We have contracted with Brandywine Valley for their PMA services twice a year for our heating and air conditioning unit since June of 2011. We contacted another service company prior to utilizing Brandywine and was not pleased with their assessment with a problem we were having, so we checked out the phone book and contacted Brandywine to come and give their input and it turned out the problem was easily resolved and less expensive. Their representative Ron who we are extremely pleased with gave us a complete understanding of what the problem was and fixed it. Also he provided an overview of services Brandywine provides that lead us to agree to utilizing their services semi-annually through a PMA agreement. When we call to schedule our service appt. someone always answers the phone and sets up a timely appointment. We always request their service tech Ron because he is always on time, competent and courteous. We feel very confident that we will continue to utilize Brandywine Valley's services going forward because a trust has been developed due to the excellent service they provide. The install was flawless. We were a bit pressed as we were having a graduation party and our old unit stopped working just before the scheduled install. Brandywine arrived on time, completed the job, cleaned everything up and didn't leave a trace. We had our new unit up and running in time for the party! We also had a small section of baseboard heat pipe removed. Brandywine completed that project neatly and quickly.

Brandywine Valley has been our service provider for heating and air conditioning for over 20 years. They come twice a year through an annual service contract, and have always kept our systems running smoothly. Their technicians are highly professional, and always take the time to explain the work they did, and if there are any issues of which we need to be aware. About 5 years ago we did replace one of our systems because parts would no longer be available for it, and we didn't want to be without heat or a/c if it broke down during extreme temperatures, but there was absolutely no pressure to replace it from Brandywine. We did have them install the new system, and it has been working great. Our other system is now almost 24 years old, a testament to their excellent maintenance. Ignore the Horizon ads (those campaigns cost a lot of money which the customer ultimately pays for!) and call Brandywine. They are excellent and a pleasure to work with.
