Hurricane Sandy caused extensive damage to the property because of huge falling trees. The Boswell group were incredibly prompt in their response and executed their tasks with military precision, discipline, professionalism and respect. The owner loves what he does as do all of the workers, which shows in their work. I highly recommend Boswell for any job on your property - I simply can't imagine contracting anyone else for expert outside work.

The work was done by a crew of about 5 guys promptly and professionally. They removed the trees and spread the stump grindings on an area of ground where we requested. I felt especially good about having this work done in the fall, because it has been a bad winter and the snow and ice storm of February 4th-5th would probably have caused the old trees to fall on my vehicles and/or roof! We are planning to contact Rob again since other trees were damaged by that storm.

Service was excellent throughout the entire process. Someone came out within several days of calling to give an estimate that was very reasonable. We were in no hurry for the work to be done, so we were put on the list to be called when they were working in the area. Boswell's called about a month later, came out the next day and completed the job quickly and efficiently. Definitely would use them again and highly recommend.

Rob and his crew removed a large Ash tree that was split in two but still standing. It was a tricky job because of the location of the tree on my property. I was concerned that the tree would fall on my neighbor's property and damage it but Rob figured out a solution. He went out of his way to eliminate any damage from cutting the tree down. It was a dangerous job and the guys handled it very well. I could not have asked for a better experience. I am having them come back and do some more work in the near future. Great company to work with. Rob is very personable and his prices are reasonable. Good group of guys that work for him as well.

Excellent. All of my initial questions and inquiries were responded to very quickly. Rob arrived on-time to provide an estimate of the cost and let me know when the work could be scheduled. The work was performed as scheduled. Great care was taken to not disturb my neighbors property as well as mine. The final look of the trees is great. Properly thinned out the tree and left them looking great. Clean-up around the yard was excellent as well.

Rob promptly returned my phone call and was able to get out to my home the next day. I was worried about trees leaning on the back of the property, and he was able to give me a fair price for the large amount of work needed. He even humored my son during the estimate, which was wonderful. We are waiting on approval from the land owner but will definitely use this company for any tree related needs in the future.

We asked for an estimate to have two trees trimmed, They not only gave us an estimate but also some advice relative to the trimming. They were very professional and punctual, However we decided to postpone the job for the time being. We would not hesitate to use their services in the future

I had about a dozen or so large poplar trees that were way too close to my house, including several that were dead or dying. Every bad wind storm, I would sleep on the first floor and pray that none of the big suckers would fall and squash my house like a bug. I went on Angie's List and called Rob Boswell based on the numerous positive reviews. He had a great vision of what he wanted to do for my property and got back to me promptly with an estimate. When Rob, Steve and crew arrived to do the work, I was impressed with how efficiently they brought down those big trees in a safe and secure manner. It was a complex job due to the number of trees involved. Rob's team was very careful not to damage surrounding quality trees that I did not want removed. Cleanup was fantastic. I will have them back for maintenance pruning in the future. Mark me down a very satisfied customer that would highly recommend Boswell's Tree Service.

I contacted Boswell's for an estimate and received a response promptly. The provider arrived at my home promptly at the designated time and pointed out several additional branches in a nearby tree which had been damaged in a storm (which I hadn't noticed) and were in danger of falling on my roof. I agreed that these branches should also be removed at the same time in addition to the work I had originally requested. An estimate was received promptly and was about the amount I had expected for what was a large job. The Angie's list discount was included in the estimate. The job was delayed due to a period of poor weather, which was understandable. The contractor arrived on the agreed day fully prepared for the job, which took one complete day and part of the next. I had requested all the wood be removed from my property as I already had a large supply and this was done completely. I was particularly impressed by the minimal impact to the area surrounding these four large trees. In summary, Boswell's did an excellent job in every way. I will certainly be asking them to perform any additional work of this type for me when it is needed.

, the Very well, while preparing the estimate Robert reminded me that I would get a discounted Angie's List price - I had totally missed that. As part of the estimate I had concerns about how to avoid damaging a street lamp in one of the beds. Robert had proposed some options and contingencies and so we went from there. As it turns out he was able to exceed my expectations as the lamp and the wiring suffered no damage. While walking through my yard he pointed out other trees and shrubs that needed attention. This turned out to be good advice and the results were very pleasing. But let's get to the accuracy of the work. It was very good on the removal task because he used a boom crane to pull out items vs trashing my yard with a tractor. He also had one of his crew use a shovel to find my lamp wire and trench it out so we could avoid breaking the wire or lamp. Regarding the tree pruning it was more than just topping... they used a small chainsaw on a pole to get up in the trees and clean up the shape. Also, my dogwood looks beautiful now that Robert's crew gave it a proper pruning. Very happy.

We never from him again so it did not go well at all.

We were very happy with Rob and his team. They quickly removed 4 Pines (1 Dead and 2 on their way) as well as 2 large shrubs. The Stumps were ground and all the debris was removed. The job was well done, the pricing was fair and the site was left in good condition with no issues. I would recommend Rob and his company and will most likely have them back next spring for some more work on my property.

Rob (the owner) was able to come out to our house to give us an estimate within a day of calling his company. I was very impressed with his professionalism and appreciated that he offered suggestions as well as listened to what we wanted to have done. We got an estimate from a local large tree service company as well but felt that Rob offered the individualized service that the other company could not offer us. We hired Rob and his crew to remove about 9 large trees and about 20 small trees behind our house that were all within 10 feet of our house. One of the trees, a large hickory, was directly in front of my baby's bedroom, and had started leaning toward the house. Rob and his crew arrived on time and completed a huge job in less than two days. They worked very hard and efficiently. We never once felt that our house was in danger even though they were working in a tight spot and the trees were very close to our house. They were very careful to avoid damaging our septic system and propane tank. Rob and his crew also did some much needed work that was not included on our estimate such as removing some dead tree limbs from a nearby tree. When the job was finished, they cleaned up all of the debris, wood chips, and even blew the wood dust off of our deck and raked up all of the leaves and twigs that were on the ground around the trees. We would not hesitate to hire Boswell's again for any future tree work on our property or to recommend them to our friends!

This was a fantastic experience from beginning to end! To start, Rob Boswel was very prompt in responding to our initial query. They called us back immediately and were at our property within a day or two. Rob spent the time to review our property with my wife and added his thoughts on how to improve the sightlines of our property. His ability to listen to our needs but create a vision for what would improve our property within our budget helped instill confidence in their ability to handle the project. Before we gave Boswel the green light we called with some concerns and Rob called us right back to listen to our hesitations. I was traveling and so my wife actually conferenced Rob in and we had a great discussion around the scope of the project. Ultimately, we felt very confident that the price and scope of the project were exactly what we needed. Had Rob not been so willing and able to effectively communicate with us, we may have shifted gears and dulled down the scope of the project. After seeing the end product, I'm glad that we listened to Rob and kept the scope of the project the same. They arrived on our property at 7:45 am the morning that the work was to be done and they spent two whole days working and completely recreating our property via tree cleanup. We were shocked at just how different and amazing our property looked with 4k of tree cleanup performed by Boswel. Rob saw the project through from beginning to end and throughout maintained a constant level of effective communication with us. The end product was fantastic. They were clean, prompt, courteous and did everything they said they would do. Boswel did such a fantastic job that both the neighbor behind and in front of us (we all have 1 acre properties) walked over and asked to get quotes for work with Boswel. They ended up doing major work on our neighbors properties as well! If you are considering a tree service and you are reading this, Boswel tree service should be at the top of your list!

Rob and crew removed 4 trees and cleaned up a few more as well as doing some stump grinding. We were kept in the loop well ahead of time with scheduling changes due to weather. On the day everyone arrived and got to work right away. All work was completed in about 7 hours including setup and cleanup. Rob worked with us to relocate the stump grindings for use along the edge of our property. Will definitely use again no question.

This was the 3rd time I'd had Rob Boswell and his team perform work at my house. Obviously, I like this company. Rob stays on the job site until work is completed. It always feels as if he's surveying your property as if it's his own: peering out into the site until it looks the way he (and you) wants it to look. Not only does Rob's company do what's asked of them, but there's always something that he sees that he just 'takes care of' while he's there. I'm completely thrilled with how my yard looks- and have been every time Rob's been here- and would always call him again in the future.

Arrived on time and finished in about 7 hours, including clean up. They were very professional and did an excellent job. We are very satisfied with the job and will definitely use them in the future for our tree work.

The BEST experience with significant tree expertise regarding the health, location and how to prune trees. After 25 years of Pennsylvania home ownership, the BEST Tree Service experience. It was time to prune and maintain trees. Historically, our experience with trees was not positive. The quote and assessment process was quick - the response from Angie List was within 24hours, the assessment and quote was within three days and the work was scheduled quickly and adjusted forward due to impending weather. The work was performed within one day. Rob walked the crew from tree to tree and pointed out the best pruning options. Rob also reviewed the completed pruning. The crew worked as a team. The crew was efficient, professional and courteous. All members worked tirelessly and together. When the crew left, it was clean and not noticeable. All the work was completed on the one day and no call back required The result is beautiful. The trees look wonderful. It is a pleasure to walk through the yard and see the result. It makes me proud as a home owner. Follow-up Note: My neighbor just had similar tree work performed from a different tree service. The work performed at my home is superior. The choice of branches for pruning was simply on the top and sides. Trees that were removed had the stumps left in the ground with orange markings. The service will have to return to take out stumps. Robert came out a couple weeks prior to the work being done per our request for an estimate. We discussed wanting to 40+ ft. Spruce trees removed from the front yard to open up the property and allow more sunlight toward the house. One of the trees was where we wanted to expand our driveway. Robert made the recommendation that we keep the one spruce because it was so healthy compared to two other non-pines we had in the yard. We considered his recommendation but still went with our original plan. He did give us the estimate and 10% discount for using angie's list. They called a couple days prior to coming out. they finished all the work in half-a-day. They were very efficient and cleaned up after themselves well. A couple days later, we were talking to our neighbors and they shared a story from that day we did not know about. Apparently, as the workers were cutting down a tree, a small piece flew off and nicked the top of our neighbor's Mustang. The ding was very small and barely noticeable, but the workers knocked on the neighbors door and informed them of what happened. They asked our neghbors how they could make good on it. Our neighbors told them that they had a couple bushes they were looking to have removed and the workers told them it was not a problem and removed those bushes for them before they left for the day. We and the neighbors were both impressed with the integrity and service. I would definitely recommend Boswell's tree service for anyone I know looking for that type of service.
