BOB WAGNER'S FLOORING AMERICA

We used Bob Wagner’s in West Chester instead of the big box stores with hopes the experience would be favorable. Well that didn’t happen!!! We ordered carpet on August 6, 2018 for 3 bedrooms and the steps heading to main level and the install was finished February 22, 2019. We were informed the carpet mfg had to put this carpet selection back in production, which pushed out the install by weeks. This was the first of many disappointments to come. Almost 2 months after placing the order the carpet was installed, and it came up short to complete the install….couldn’t finish the steps (not enough carpet). More carpet was ordered but was not the same pile as the other carpet. Bob Wagner’s ordered replacement carpet….when it came in - the color was green not beige. Another reorder was placed but when this came in the pile was still incorrect. Weeks later a special order was done to get matching carpet pile and installed. We had been verbally told from the salesman, that discounts would be applied due to all these issues. To our surprise that did not happen and since we had nothing in writing, I had to pay the remaining balance without the discount. We tried working with this vendor to make it right, that didn’t happen. Be aware of this business with their principles and practices.

Exceeded expectations

The sales person was very helpful in keeping me within a budget. She suggested colors and shades of wood. She also steered me towards a special which saved me quite a bit. The carpet people came in and moved furniture. They were very careful with the furniture and did a great job with the carpet. A different group of men came to install the hardwood floors. They worked all day and did a beautiful job. This may be picky, but I wish they had dressed up a bit more.

The service worked out well. Two people came out to take out the old floor and took them about two days. Then one guy came out and it took him about five days to do the tile. They cleaned out everything very good. I would say they are excellent and they stand behind their work. They have actually done other jobs for us.

They did a great and wonderful job. I liked their efficiency. They were very efficient and they got the job done. I liked the way that they cleaned up after themselves, the neatness of their work and the professional work that they did. They completed everything pretty promptly and efficiently. Their price was good because I shopped around. I picked out the floor and I picked out its quality.

Excellent! Bruce was the perfect salesperson and Kathleen was very helpful when I visited the store on Bruce's day off. The installers did a magnificent job with the installation and were very professional and courteous. While removing the old carpet, they took the time to explain to me why the existing carpet strips on the concrete floor weren't installed well and why their way of attaching the new strips to the concrete would be the right way to do it. The price of the carpeting and padding was a little higher than I had hoped to spend but it was worth going over my budget for the quality of the carpet and the excellent job with the removal and installation. When I save up money for replacing the carpet in the rest of the house, I'll go to Bob Wagner's!

Excellent quality & customer service..........Kathleen was so professional and responsive. This type of customer service is hard to find. Staff demonstrated superior attention to detail and pride in the work performed. The carpeting was well priced. We purchased high end carpeting and medium end carpeting for different areas in the house. Extremely pleased with both. Highly recommend working with Kathleen.

Kathleen our salesperson was very helpful. She even found our choice of carpet, which turned out to be discontinued, at another supplier and a cheaper price! The installation was a challenge, requiring a wrap-around of 18 open stair steps. She sent her A team and they did a perfect job of installing (cleanup afterward could have been a little better). BUT the person who came out to do the measurement was the B team. She miscalculated the number of steps, and there was only 2/3 of the carpet ordered (remember, this was discontinued carpet). But fortunately our salesperson located the final batch. And gave us $100 discount. But that put the final installation back two weeks. Scheduling was also an issue. We were told installation would be Tuesday and we arrange our schedules accordingly. About midday Tuesday we called and the scheduler told us we were down for Wednesday. A day wasted. All in all, the carpet looks great, a good price and installation was handled well and we would go with Bob Wagner again (we have done business with them for 25 years).

The entire team was very professional from our estimator, to the work crews to the people in the office who booked our time and answered questions. All the advice that was given turned out well from picking a different stains when we realized there were two different types of wood used in parts of the house, to being careful to not put rugs back down to let the floors cure properly. The work crews were always on time and ready to get the job done right. The result is one of the best investments we have made in restoring this old house. Everyone who has seen the result is amazed at the transformation.

Harry and his crew gave exceptional customer service, something that seems rare nowadays. All installers did an excellent job, arrived on time, and left the place as they found it. The installer did not have the proper color quarter round for the kitchen, but the correct quarter round and color was ordered and installed in a timely manner. We had a coupon from Angie's list that honored and saved us hundreds of dollars.
