They were very unprofessional and you tell they were in a hurry to get done. They started by leaning plywood up against our windows ,which we wondered why. We found out why when we went outside and saw them urinating on car tires, by the garage and behind the house. They should have brought a port a potty for an 8 hour job! Very unprofessional especially when my wife had to turn her head to avoid them one time urinating. They did not lay down tarps and we are still picking up nails and staples in driveway and flower beds along the driveway. They busted some siding and had to come back and replace it the next day. The guy who replaced it also had to seal some flashing and paint around flashing. The air vents were loose and had to be nailed down, sealed and painted so when it rained it would not have rusty water stains on new shingles. He said not to worry because you have a 20 year warranty. also the price for one sheet of plywood was disgusting. All in all I feel for the price of the roof they should have replaced more of the plywood in areas I had mentioned to them. If I would have known everything was gonna be this way I would have gone with another contractor

They had to postpone a couple of times after scheduling the repair work because other jobs they had took longer than expected. When they did come, all repairs were completed on time and the roof leak was fixed.

All went very well. There have been several high-wind days since the siding repair and the siding/trim in the repaired area has remained in place. All trash was removed and the property was left clean and neat.

They were helpful in recommending the right options, provided color/product samples, had the best pricing, showed up when they promised and completed the job with a large crew of workers in 2 full days. They used tarps to protect windows and swept the yard with a magnate to pick up any stray nails. The crew was very professional and competent from start to finish and I would highly recommend them for any roofing needs.

Extremely happy with this contractor. They did a beautiful job, were careful of our landscaping, polite and responsive--really went the extra mile to please us. This was a large job which we did a fair amount of research on, interviewed several contractors, and eventually decided on Bachman. I could not have been happier. We highly recommend them and will definitely use them again for any work (they also do remodeling) we may need in the future.

I contacted Bachman in early June and it took 2 week for the salesmen to call me back and 2 weeks later to have him show up.
He explained they would need to sub contract the pole building and would get a quote back to us as soon as possible. 8-23-14 he delivered the quote and I gave a check of $500. deposit. 9-22-14 Bachman did the roof on the house and the job was done that day and they did a good job! I explained that Fetterville Sales built the pole building and they were very difficult to work with and get things done correctly. Greg assured us that they would work closely with Fetterville to insure things were done right.
Apx. 2 weeks later the sub contractor arrived and did the pole building. They did not do the spouting and said Bachman would do that. Sunday 10-12 driving home from a trip to western Pa I get a flat tire on my 2014 Jetta on I 80. The only place open was a Walmart who pulled a roofing screw from my tire and said it was too close to the side wall and was unsafe to fix. I found 3 more screws from the pole building in the yard after the flat.
I had to buy a new tire sub of standard quality to the OE tire since that was all they had to get home almost 200 miles.(My spare is rated 50mph for 50 miles) Tuesday 10-14-14 I went to Bachman's office to pay the balance of my bill. I explained the screw & tire issue, no spouting on pole building and
spoke with Mark in the office. He explained he would deduct the price of the Walmart tire and did. He would need to talk with salesmen Greg when he gets back from vacation to clear replacement of OE tire and contact me with in a week.. No contact from Mark or Greg after weeks I left voice mails and emails I wrote an email to customer service asking someone who gives a crap call me or have the owner of Bachman or CEO call me. Mark & Greg called me later that day. That was 11/3/14.
Bachman has agreed to buy a tire from the VW dealer and replace the Walmart tire at Bachman's shop. I had the Walmart tire replaced 11/11/14 and now the car is back to normal.
In Summary, Salesmen's follow up is very poor, I have had other work on our home and a good salesmen always calls and asked " if the work was done as promised?" Call back from office & emails very poor. Bachman's Tech's work was good but their sub contactor was not and Bachman hired the sub contractor not me.

They were punctual, completed entire roof in approx 6 hrs. Cleaned up after themselves. Overall they did a great job!

Work crew was punctual and polite. Tarped the lawn for old slate removal and tarped shrubbery to protect it. At the end of each work day the men spend a good hour cleaning up. The crew even worked through the weekend. Very hardworking crew. I would hire them again!

This was done very well. Excellent product and the craftsman ship was well done. They complete the work in one day (at least the roof). Nice clean up. They arrive a little late because of a truck breaking down but they did call. They were in consistence contact with me and answered any questions I had promptly. Well worth the price.

They came in and did the work it was excellent. They are professional and very customer oriented. They work fast. They started the work when they said they would and were done in one day. They patched up our hail damage for free on a little roof that they didn’t roof for us. They are worth the money. They are worth their weight in gold.

The sales rep was professional and knowledgeable.. He patiently answered our questions and explained the pluses and minuses of various material options. He had a detailed proposal ready in a few days and showed real patience as he subsequently revised the proposal three times because we kept modifing what we wanted. One important factor was that we never felt pressured to select high-end options or to sign the contract right-away. Bachman's price was $19,000 less than that of a high-pressure roofing company that bid on the job and $5,000 less than another bid we received.
The roofing crew of 8 arrived on a Wed, worked 12 hour days Wed and Thurs and about 8 hrs on Friday. Before they left, they cleaned up the area and replaced items that had to be moved. A separate crew of 2 men installed the skylights.
One big concern we had was protecting the extensive flower beds we have on the property. We were assured they would protect the plantings from damage - and they did. We had only a couple of small branches broken. The only significant damage was not due to the roofing activity but due to one of their trucks backing off the driveway and running over a small azalea.
We feel fortunate to have had Tim as the crew manager for our job. He continuously kept us informed of what was going on and frequently checked with us to see if we were happy with the way the job was going. The copper flashing work
he did looks great. When a Radon exhaust pipe was installed in the wrong place because of a a misunderstanding, Tim quickly relocated the pipe without complaint. After the crew had left and just before he was ready to leave on Friday, Tim noticed the paint used in the window wells for the new skylights did not exactly match the original paint on the porch ceiling and, unfortunately, some of the new paint was brushed onto the ceiling so the contrast was evident. Tim was insistent he had to correct that before leaving. I found a can of the original paint and Tim did some touch up painting so it now looks good.
We are very happy with our new roof and happy with Bachman's Roofing.
