They arrived on time, did an excellent job and cleaned up very well afterwards. They were very professional and I would highly recommend their services to others.

Initial contact through app was quick. Additional conversation was responsive and positive. Unfortunately, the next step was for a sales associate to contact me. This is where things took a turn. It has now been 2 days and no word. I have had 2 others out to quote the job and do not want to wait.

The roofing team came as expected at 7am on May 26th. The first thing they did was cover my deck, and front lawn with a huge tarp to protect from debris. Within 2 hours they had the entire slate roof and the flat roof stripped and ready for the new roof. They installed new aluminum drip edging all around, new copper pipe collars, water and ice shields in all gutters and valleys, copper flashing around chimney, 30# felt, Timberline Lifetime HD shingles and ridge vents. On the flat roof they installed 1/2" fiberboard insulation under a rubber roofing membrane. The crew cleaned up after each major step and, then after they were done, went around the entire property with a magnetic nail trapper to make sure most, if not all, of the nails were removed. They also brushed the shrubs, and raked behind and around them to get rid of all of the loose pieces of old roofing material. They had the entire roofing process, from start to finish, orchestrated very efficiently. I'd definitely use they again if needed. The entire job was done by 4:45 pm. When they left you couldn't even tell they were here.

They have been very good. They are really good for roofing. I just got an estimate they are going to re-roof my two story garage. They are very prompt and professional. I think they are very honest. It was nice to know there is a local company that was being fair because they could have totally taken advantage of the situation. I think the pricing is fair.

We needed to have our roof reshingled and have a ridge vent installed. We decided to attend the Allentown Home Show to speak with vendors and schedule some home visits. From our initial contact with the sales people at the Home Show through to project completion their service was exemplary, very professional . Their quote wasn't the least expensive quote we received but not the most expensive either. We appreciated that we didn't need to haggle over price such as getting a "discount" if we promised to place a sign in our yard for a certain period of time. The price presented the first time was right in line with others we received but without having to go through a bunch of negotiations to get it. The crew started on time and most of the work was completed while we were at work. We were thoroughly impressed with what we found when we got home in the evening. We had a new roof and honestly we couldn't even tell that there was major work done. We didn't find any nails, broken shingles, or refuse of any kind. In fact, we spent quite a bit of time surveying the perimeter of the house and found nothing at all to even mention in passing. While it is hard to assess the roof itself it does appear that we received a quality installation. I would highly recommend Bachman and if we have any further home improvement projects we will certainly consider them again.

They were very unprofessional and you tell they were in a hurry to get done. They started by leaning plywood up against our windows ,which we wondered why. We found out why when we went outside and saw them urinating on car tires, by the garage and behind the house. They should have brought a port a potty for an 8 hour job! Very unprofessional especially when my wife had to turn her head to avoid them one time urinating. They did not lay down tarps and we are still picking up nails and staples in driveway and flower beds along the driveway. They busted some siding and had to come back and replace it the next day. The guy who replaced it also had to seal some flashing and paint around flashing. The air vents were loose and had to be nailed down, sealed and painted so when it rained it would not have rusty water stains on new shingles. He said not to worry because you have a 20 year warranty. also the price for one sheet of plywood was disgusting. All in all I feel for the price of the roof they should have replaced more of the plywood in areas I had mentioned to them. If I would have known everything was gonna be this way I would have gone with another contractor

They had to postpone a couple of times after scheduling the repair work because other jobs they had took longer than expected. When they did come, all repairs were completed on time and the roof leak was fixed.

All went very well. There have been several high-wind days since the siding repair and the siding/trim in the repaired area has remained in place. All trash was removed and the property was left clean and neat.

They were helpful in recommending the right options, provided color/product samples, had the best pricing, showed up when they promised and completed the job with a large crew of workers in 2 full days. They used tarps to protect windows and swept the yard with a magnate to pick up any stray nails. The crew was very professional and competent from start to finish and I would highly recommend them for any roofing needs.

I originally had an appointment set up for Saturday 10/25/14 for an estimate for flashing around my chimney as I am having leaks through my living room. Kevin showed up promptly on time around noon. He was professional and took pics of my chimney damage and explained what it would need. He stated their estimator would contact me and set up an appointment. I received an estimate in the mail that Friday. I checked on Angie's list for what other roofers were charging and it was compatible. I called the estimator Carl on that Saturday and explained to him my hours of work. He stated they could not schedule the work until I signed a contract and sent in a deposit but that they would work with me since I also work during the day. He stated to call the office and have them email me the contract to expedite the work and they would get the down payment from me along with the contract when they showed up. He stated since it was a Saturday he would have to wait until Monday to call me with the date, but to call the office and advise the girls there what he said regarding the emailing of the contract. I did call the office that Saturday and spoke with Darci who I explained what Carl stated. Darci did email me the contract that Saturday. I waited a week and emailed Darci that I have not heard from anyone and to let me know if they still wanted the job. She responded that nothing was scheduled because they hadn't received the contract and deposit. I emailed her back and reminded her that I did not return the contract or deposit because I was instructed not to by Carl and also had told her that as well and I requested that she call me. I received a call from her on Friday 11/21/14 apologizing for the mix up and that they would be out the next day to complete the work and that a person named Sean would be handling. I requested a call back from Carl to make sure all was ok with the contract and deposits. I did receive a call back from Carl that Friday evening confirming all was good. Around 1:15 on Saturday I received a call from Sean who was suppose to do the job stating he was running behind and if it were ok if he would be able to come on Sunday to do the job. I said that would be ok and he promised he would be here around noon. Sean again was not able to come out on Sunday for what I was told a family emergency and I received a call from Carl on Monday morning letting me know that Sean was at my house and he did apologize for for all the inconvenience, but I did understand that sometimes things happen and I was glad it was finally getting completed since it was suppose to rain the rest of the week. I was glad this was completed by Bachman since they did my son's roof and my daughter-in-law's mother's roof and they did a wonderful job with those as well. They are good to work with and would definitely hire them again and also recommend them.

Extremely happy with this contractor. They did a beautiful job, were careful of our landscaping, polite and responsive--really went the extra mile to please us. This was a large job which we did a fair amount of research on, interviewed several contractors, and eventually decided on Bachman. I could not have been happier. We highly recommend them and will definitely use them again for any work (they also do remodeling) we may need in the future.

I contacted Bachman in early June and it took 2 week for the salesmen to call me back and 2 weeks later to have him show up. He explained they would need to sub contract the pole building and would get a quote back to us as soon as possible. 8-23-14 he delivered the quote and I gave a check of $500. deposit. 9-22-14 Bachman did the roof on the house and the job was done that day and they did a good job! I explained that Fetterville Sales built the pole building and they were very difficult to work with and get things done correctly. Greg assured us that they would work closely with Fetterville to insure things were done right. Apx. 2 weeks later the sub contractor arrived and did the pole building. They did not do the spouting and said Bachman would do that. Sunday 10-12 driving home from a trip to western Pa I get a flat tire on my 2014 Jetta on I 80. The only place open was a Walmart who pulled a roofing screw from my tire and said it was too close to the side wall and was unsafe to fix. I found 3 more screws from the pole building in the yard after the flat. I had to buy a new tire sub of standard quality to the OE tire since that was all they had to get home almost 200 miles.(My spare is rated 50mph for 50 miles) Tuesday 10-14-14 I went to Bachman's office to pay the balance of my bill. I explained the screw & tire issue, no spouting on pole building and spoke with Mark in the office. He explained he would deduct the price of the Walmart tire and did. He would need to talk with salesmen Greg when he gets back from vacation to clear replacement of OE tire and contact me with in a week.. No contact from Mark or Greg after weeks I left voice mails and emails I wrote an email to customer service asking someone who gives a crap call me or have the owner of Bachman or CEO call me. Mark & Greg called me later that day. That was 11/3/14. Bachman has agreed to buy a tire from the VW dealer and replace the Walmart tire at Bachman's shop. I had the Walmart tire replaced 11/11/14 and now the car is back to normal. In Summary, Salesmen's follow up is very poor, I have had other work on our home and a good salesmen always calls and asked " if the work was done as promised?" Call back from office & emails very poor. Bachman's Tech's work was good but their sub contactor was not and Bachman hired the sub contractor not me. ssured

I initially contacted Bachman's in August 2014 to request a consultation and price quote for a roofing/gutter/eve capping project. After not hearing back for a month despite a phone inquiry, I called a second time in early September 2014 to inquire about the status of my request. I was told that they would rearrange their schedule to get someone out to my house in the near term. The agreed upon date came and went and no one showed up, so I called Bachman's and was told by the dispatcher that no one had been scheduled to come out to my location that day. They had the sales rep get in touch with me shortly thereafter to reschedule, which we did for a couple days later. The sales rep (I believe his name was Greg) met with me at my home at the agreed upon rescheduled time (09/08/14). His presentation was competent- that said, he did inform me that a window with weathered wood framing would be impossible to cap and should instead be replaced with an entire new window insert, despite the fact that two other contractors have said otherwise. In addition to this, he asked me how much I expected to pay for the project. Upon giving him my ideal (and admittedly uninformed) estimate, he responded by saying that it would be much more than that. I don't believe that he was trying in any way to make me feel foolish, but I felt that way regardless. Ultimately, his question about what I expected to pay was irrelevant and unnecessary, as my personal views on the cost should have had no bearing on their pricing, which I imagine would have been precisely standardized. Greg closed the meeting by saying that he would be emailing me a quote within the next week. Since that time, I have called Bachman's office approximately 3 times to inquire about the status of the quote, which to date I have never received. The woman that I spoke with (Amy) at their main office even gave me Greg's cell phone number, which I called and left messages on twice since the initial 09/08/14 meeting. Greg never bothered to call me back, not even to tell me to leave him alone :). The main office, which I imagine would have taken notes on my phone inquiries, has also not bothered to contact me in any way regarding status, As of this post, over one month has passed since my initial meeting, and I have not received any contact, quote or status on my project request whatsoever (last contact was 10/03/14- spoke with Amy at the main office). My recommendation to Bachman's would be to inform potential customers of their ability to accomodate a job in a practical manner. I would have preferred to have been told that their work load was such that my job would not be a priority, instead of being ignored as I have been. It would have shown courtesy to have been told by Bachman's that my best interests would be served by going to another contractor who could accomodate the job sooner. I had hoped to get this completed prior to the start of winter. As it stands now, the project will get underway in late January - early February, based on another contractor that I plan to proceed with (who incidentally provided me with a quote on site after the initial consultation). I understood based on my conversation with Greg that they had a number of jobs in progress due to the recent hail storm. I will assume that my project was either lost amidst these other assignments or was intentionally ignored due to the lucrative nature of larger jobs on their schedule. Bachman's may very well do quality work, but my experience with their customer service leading up to the quoting stage was horrible.

They were punctual, completed entire roof in approx 6 hrs. Cleaned up after themselves. Overall they did a great job!

The price I was quoted was 3x more than every other estimate I received.I did not have Bachman's fix my gutters.

Work crew was punctual and polite. Tarped the lawn for old slate removal and tarped shrubbery to protect it. At the end of each work day the men spend a good hour cleaning up. The crew even worked through the weekend. Very hardworking crew. I would hire them again!

This was done very well. Excellent product and the craftsman ship was well done. They complete the work in one day (at least the roof). Nice clean up. They arrive a little late because of a truck breaking down but they did call. They were in consistence contact with me and answered any questions I had promptly. Well worth the price.

The workmen were fast and cleaned up after themselves.

They came in and did the work it was excellent. They are professional and very customer oriented. They work fast. They started the work when they said they would and were done in one day. They patched up our hail damage for free on a little roof that they didn’t roof for us. They are worth the money. They are worth their weight in gold.

It just isn't reasonable to have to wait months to get an estimate.

The sales rep was professional and knowledgeable.. He patiently answered our questions and explained the pluses and minuses of various material options. He had a detailed proposal ready in a few days and showed real patience as he subsequently revised the proposal three times because we kept modifing what we wanted. One important factor was that we never felt pressured to select high-end options or to sign the contract right-away. Bachman's price was $19,000 less than that of a high-pressure roofing company that bid on the job and $5,000 less than another bid we received. The roofing crew of 8 arrived on a Wed, worked 12 hour days Wed and Thurs and about 8 hrs on Friday. Before they left, they cleaned up the area and replaced items that had to be moved. A separate crew of 2 men installed the skylights. One big concern we had was protecting the extensive flower beds we have on the property. We were assured they would protect the plantings from damage - and they did. We had only a couple of small branches broken. The only significant damage was not due to the roofing activity but due to one of their trucks backing off the driveway and running over a small azalea. We feel fortunate to have had Tim as the crew manager for our job. He continuously kept us informed of what was going on and frequently checked with us to see if we were happy with the way the job was going. The copper flashing work he did looks great. When a Radon exhaust pipe was installed in the wrong place because of a a misunderstanding, Tim quickly relocated the pipe without complaint. After the crew had left and just before he was ready to leave on Friday, Tim noticed the paint used in the window wells for the new skylights did not exactly match the original paint on the porch ceiling and, unfortunately, some of the new paint was brushed onto the ceiling so the contrast was evident. Tim was insistent he had to correct that before leaving. I found a can of the original paint and Tim did some touch up painting so it now looks good. We are very happy with our new roof and happy with Bachman's Roofing.
