I called Bachman's to schedule an appointment to have an estimate completed. The lady who answered the phone told me that they don't schedule estimates on the initial call and that she would put my name and contact information on the "To Call" board or something along those lines. I specifically said that I want to be present when the estimator came out. She said that he would contact me prior to visiting. A week and a half later while I am at work and my wife was at home, Bachman's showed up. This wouldn't have been unusual if they were already in the neighborhood, but the guy told my wife that he already talked to me and we set up this time as an appointment. She called me at work to verify then she asked him to leave. We went with a different roofing company.

I called Bachman's on Thursday, November 1 asking for an estimate on my roof. I was told someone would get back to me as soon as possible because they were extremely busy due to hurricane Sandy. Today, November 2, I received a call at 8:14 am asking when I would/could be home so they could look at my roof. We agreed on 11:00 and when I got there they were there and waiting. I communicated that I had left over shingles from the previous home owner. He took one look at my roof and said, "Oh, that would only take me 10 minutes since you have the shingles." He was up on the roof in no time flat. He was very thorough and went over the whole roof. He even found our ridge vent was loose and fixed that. He said if we got high winds it would have pulled away from the roof. They were on time and very professional. I will definitely use them again.

they came out the same day, price was very reasonable and they fixed the problem the first time. I don't have anything to compare the price to.

We chose them because they are the biggest advertisers. I was a little disappointed in them. I have a patio that has a flat roof. They did a good job but the shingles buckled on the roof and I had a terrible time getting them to come out and fix it. They finally did but I would be hesitant to use them again. They were also sloppy around the skylight.

I very much liked their timing. They came and completed the work in one day, from start to finish. They were remarkably clean. They cleaned up after themselves. You wouldn't know that they were here. Everyone was courteous and professional.

They came out right away and prayed something onthe roof and removed the hooks causing the leak. They promised to get a guy to come back to address the water damage inside. It only took them 10 minutes. Great. But they forgot to get the guy to address the water damage. They said I needed a new roof right away. But when I asked for an estimate, it was $6000 for a simple 2 sided roof. Ouch!

We are a condominium association with 48 units. Several unit owners were experiencing leaky roofs and we had tried several other roofers without success. Bachman's technician knew what to do and did it without any hesitation. They may be a little more expensive than some others, BUT they get the job done and done right.

We didn't use them to install the roof.

No hassles with waiting, simple repair done at one time.

They seemed to be professional and thorough. They estimate was a little higher then the other company.

It took them a little longer than they originally promised to finish. They forgot to order some parts which were inconvenient. This was part of an insurance problem that we had. We had a big hailstorm and another issue that we had with them was that, they neglected to include some key things that needed to be fixed to our insurance company. By mouth they told us that, they would be corrected but then there was a problem at the end. We were told that we would have to pay in cash for these problems that were not included on our insurance company. So that was an issue. We also had trouble with them because we had a 100 year old electrical light that was hanging from our porch and they broke it. We insisted that they should get an electrician to fix it and they did rectify that problem. However they called as though they were a collection agency. It was terrible. They called incessantly. It was like, one afternoon they had called ten times and we had a sick child at home. We told them to refrain from calling and we just wanted the light fixed. They kept saying that the problem wasn’t caused by them but they did fix that. The last problem that we had with them was that, our porch floor paint was absolutely horrible. The paint did not adhere. We had a contractor look at it and it’s just not sitting like they didn’t do a good job of standing before hand. It was just like a patch of job that they did and it was supposed to be a large job. We think because we had insurance they treated us differently than people that would pay privately for this. We always felt that they were treating us differently and kind of unfair. They just kind of patched things up. So we’re still waiting to see if they’re going to actually come back and fix the porch floor. We cannot believe how they called here. We will not use them again in the future.

They were great. They were timely. They were priced fairly. They did the best that they could. I would use them again in the future if needed to.

Good experience. The installers showed care and concern that the job was done correctly so that earlier water leakage problems around the garage door would not recur. One small, non-structural defect (water-damaged wood) was discovered by the installers. I had the sense that they would have covered the damage without repairing it if I had not have happened to stop by to chat. They quickly agreed that the damage should be repaired and quickly got a reasonable quote from the home office and did the repair. While the discovered damage would probably not have had a long term impact on the integrity of the garage door frame, I found it odd that it was not brought to my attention as soon as it was discovered, since all of the siding was already removed and it was an easy fix to make the framing whole again. On the positive side, they pointed out areas around the door, where the driveway meets the sill, where further water incursion will occur, and gave suggestions for repair. They filled the area with expanding foam to hold off water until I can get the repairs done properly. I later spoke with the home office representative and he was surprised to hear that I was not informed of the hidden problem when it was discovered as that is the company's approach to such things. He was not defensive about my observation and indicated that the team would be reminded Other than that, the job was done well; the results look great. The gentlemen who did the work were pleasant and left the area spotless when they were done.

They were excellent. They got back to us right away. They were good communicators and the quality was excellent. We had manufacturer problems with some windows in the screened-in porch and there were scratches on the handles and they sent someone out and replaced the handles without any problem.

The fellow who was in-charge of, the one I spoke with, was very nice and co-operative. The people that were sent out, I thought they were sub-standard. When they were finished with the job, I still had two leaks on the roof that were not part of the bathroom ceiling. I was not too thrilled. Nice boss but the workers that were sent out I think was like a third string. The idea was to patch up obvious holes in the roof and after they left there was a hole, as you look up it was the size of a marble. We have hundreds in the area and sometimes they shoot through the roof. They were nice to deal with but the people they sent out were not so great. He did send them back twice but still it was not right because it was like beating a dead horse. I would not use their services again in the future. The fellow who was in charge was a very nice man and I feel very guilty about it. I thought him to be very nice against the people we happened to get. I hate to bomb the fellow.

Estimate competitive. Very cordial and good crew. Replaced fan in attice but found out 10 months later they never hardwired it. I happened to go in to the attice as I did not thinkmthe fan was working this summer and foind hanging wires. I wired the fan. Would get a better score on quality but this was a significant overlooked error.

1-3-2012 (SAME AS PRECEDING BOX) I picked Bachmann?s Roofing from Angie?s List. The company seemed professional and carried insurance and could provide both roofing and painting crews. It was a pleasure dealing with them and they did a good job when they finally got around to it. The work involved two phases: (1) a roofing job to replace slate roof tiles, repaint two porch roofs, cap a chimney, and fix and put leaf guards on all four gutters; and (2) a bigger job to paint the non-brick parts of the house, including front porch fluted pillars and a back porch add-on room. The first job was done in September and the second in December. Both parts of the overall job entailed a delay before they got started, I assume in large part due to the year?s record rains and the damage caused in the area by Hurricane Irene. When the work crews did appear, they worked efficiently and finished the jobs in a timely manner. After all the work had been completed, I discovered a couple of small problems that needed to be rectified and Bachmann?s immediately sent out a crew to take care of those problems. In both the roofing and painting jobs the actual workmanship was highly professional and I found my dealings with the estimator / company rep and with the office personnel (by phone) quite satisfactory. The work crews were not at all intrusive or distracting. The jobs were expensive but not unreasonably so and I would probably use Bachmann?s again for similar general repair work or remodeling. As noted above, my only cavil involves the delay in starting the jobs (again, to be fair, the weather may very well have been a significant contributing factor in any delay in their getting around to us).

They were just outstanding! They did a very thorough job and were extremely profressional throughout the whole roofing process. They were careful not to damage our plants and shrubberies. Two of the shrubberies did get some damage, and without hesitation Chad offered for Bachman's to cover the replacements.

Good job overall -not quick to provide quote for job.

We called them for an estimate. They were here on time. Gave a resonable estimate. We hired them to do the job. About 2 weeks later they called to confirm the start date . They came when they said they would, put down tarps to protect the deck and house from debris. They worked very quickly and in about 4 hours we had a new roof, the grounds were completely cleaned up. All debris was removed and the roof looked great! A few days later when it rained very hard we had a leak from the sewer vent pipe. The water traveled down the pipe through the house and into the basement. It was just a very small leak but I called them so they could see it while it was leaking. The foreman was at my house within 30 minutes to check it out. He found the leak and promised it would be sealed the next day (when it stopped raining). It was sealed and that was the end of it. We are very happy with the whole experience.

It took several calls and long delays to get an estimate and was even more frustrating to get some changes made. Finally, their figures were way over other quotes I had that were all done promptly. The only reason I tried to use them was that they seemed to have good rating at Angie's List.But I'm very glad that I didn't use their service, rather found a hard-working, honest, punctual family-business (my realtor's recommendation) to get the work done for about 70% of the amount Bachman estimated!

They did great work, they were great people, they did exactly what they said they would do, they were prompt, always cleaned up after themselves and completed the job in a timely manner. They were up on the roof putting on all the shingles and they had great rhythm.

They came when they said. No added charges. They were clean. I would use them again.

We are still working with them because apparently we have a leak somewhere. Now they are telling us that it is from a rain spout and not from the roof but they will come out each time to investigate the issue. Each time it has been something else that wasn’t related to the roof. We were a little upset that they were working on the roof and didn't notice there was damage to the gutter. We would have done the gutters had we known. They are very courteous and very good about coming out in a timely manner to look at stuff. They did the work we asked for and recommended that we have the other roofs done, which we did. They have been really nice to deal with. Their price was more than other companies. We chose them because they are a big company in the area. The roof work they did does look good. We guess that it is not their fault that we have an older home. They are great on responsiveness and they come the day that we call. They usually are here before we are. Everyone that has come out has been very good and very professional.
