I told them the type of job I needed and it ended up taking longer than I had wished. They sent someone who thought I just wanted a repair job and really what I needed was the roof replaced on the deck. So, then it delayed us getting an estimator out. It delayed the process to see it referred to someone with the skills to assess the job. I got the estimate mailed to me. I decided not to go with them because the job was too expensive. They were very pleasant and very professional. I didn't get the estimate as quickly as I had hoped, but they were overwhelmed with work and then there was a holiday in between, I understand that.

We visited the showroom to pick the color for the roof. They have a roof of one of their buildings done in patches of the various roofing colors. It was very helpful to see larger sections of the colors. The staff at the showroom was very helpful and understanding about getting the color right. They called the day before they came and did our roof in one day, and we have a moderately large two story with garage. They make a point of not leaving anything behind, including using large magnets to pick up nails from the old roof. One of my neighbors commented that they never saw a crew work so efficiently. I guess other neighbors saw the work too, since Bachman's did their roof last week.

I went to a home show and invited 7 contractors for estimates. Their price was in the middle. BUT, they supplied 30 lb felt and copper flashing on the ridges and vallies. They completed job in 1 day, Clean up was excellant. Very congenial and professional.

In a word...Excellent. We selected Bachman's because: (1) Angie's List Reviews; (2) Located close to job site; (3) $250 Coupon (4) Best Overall Value We received their estimate for the replacement of the shingles which was within $50.00 of another reputable contractor. However, Bachman's honored the $250.00 coupon for Angie's List members. The service was completed per the net bid amount less the coupon. The installation was scheduled within 2 weeks of signing the contract. The work crew arrived at approximately 6am on Mother's Day and completed the job by 2pm that afternoon. All debris was removed per contract. I would recommend their service to a friend.

The job was very professionally handled from start to finish --- from estimation [Greg], to removal of old roof and installation of new roof (plus the few other add-ons) [Chad and team], and administrative matters [Eric]. Having obtained several other quotes, I was completely comfortable with the pricing we worked out and the manner in which various tricky issues (involving low pitched roof spots, odd roofing joint angles, etc.) were to be handled. They provided the services exactly as they were discussed and contracted, and always with a view to doing it right. Although too soon to know for sure, I believe them when they say they will stand by the warranty they provide. I would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend them to others.

Overall, I'm happy with the result. Dealing with the estimator was straightforward, and one of the reasons I chose this company was that the shingle manufacturer (GAF) has a $300 rebate on their shingles for veterans, and Bachman's matched that with their own $300 discount. The install day came, and about one dozen roofers showed up, and the roof was done in about 7 hours. They did a good job of cleaning up afterward. The roofing job had a few minor errors, but they were rectified afterward. Two plants were crushed by the stabilizer feet on the hoist, but they gave me enough money to buy replacements. The roof looks nice, and several neighbors have said so.

The whole experience from the estimate to the completion was great ! The sales rep was very patient & helpfull in some of the decision making. The slate roof was very deteriorated & would of cost more to repair over the years apposed to an entire roof replacement. They installed a high quality GAF Roofing System which makes the house outstanding & more appealing. The flashing , facia & fabrication work is excellent ! Within 8 hours the job was completed in a professional manner , along with a great clean up job. Slate roofs are the worst & they covered up the area keeping things clean. Plus the job was done a month before they planned it to be ! Bachmans Roofing stands behind their work & give a great warranty which some roofers only give a few years. We Highly Recommend This Company & Will Use Them Again !!!

Bachman's response to to my concerns about water infiltration (first sending someone who typically make repairs) was extremely appreciated. All the employees we met were courteous, attentive to our requests and questions, and demonstrated knowledge of the products they used. As noted by others on Angie's list, their final price was not quite competitive. Aside from this, we had a very positive experience with Bachman's and would trust them to take care of any of our exterior needs in a heartbeat (provided the price was right!).

Great job. Mark the Estimater was wonderful and explained everything very well. I was very pleased that they scheduled the job very quickly as the house is on the market for sale. The job was completed in one day. Everything was cleaned up and the roof looks great! The came back to finish painting the inside trim around the skylights which turned out very nicely. I am very very happy with the job Bachman's did for me.

The addition is done and I am pretty much done looking for contractors. It took about a month to complete the whole project. We started in August of last year. They did a very good job. Bachman themselves did a very good job. I would use them again for roofing. They did a fantastic job on the roof.

These guys were fantastic. The roofing was completed in one day and the gutter and fascia work was completed the next day. The work was completed by 3 different crews but was coordinated, seemingly, down to the minute. All 3 crews were extremely competent and did a great job from setup to cleanup. I can't say enough good things about these guys. I'm going to leave their lawn sign up for an extra week and will give my highest endorsement of them to anyone who asks. I got estimates from 6 companies before giving the job to Bachman's. The other estimates were all higher in price and lower in materials and services than Bachman's. Bachman's spec'ed 30 lb felt paper for deck protect while most other estimates were for 15. Bachman's spec'ed copper flashing as standard while others had it as an extra cost option. Sometimes the low bidder is really the best. The metal work done by the flashing guy and the fascia guys was excellent. All in all I am extremely pleased with their work.

From start to finish AMAZiNG!!!!

It was very good, excellent. I had my roof estimated and when I called like within the next day, the estimator got back to me and he set up an appointment to come down and then they actually replaced the roof last July. They actually had 2 crews and they did everything in one day so it worked out well. I replaced my existing roof on both houses. Before hurricane Sandy came through, I have this section that was built on the original home and that had a flat roof and they said that it looks fine, I did not need to replace that but hurricane Sandy decided to peel it back. I didn't realize it at first and it was like a week or so after the hurricane came through that I realized that something was wrong with it and they were forecasting snow for that afternoon and it's a couple of inches. I panicked, I called my contractor back and he had an emergency crew come down and just put a temporary fix on it so I was really pleased with that. They responded well to that emergency that I had. About the price, they're not the highest but they were not the cheapest, they were like in between and actually because I told them I had found them on Angie's List, they knocked off $1500, I was very happy with that. I have not any problem with the roof leaking or anything, I'm completely satisfied with the quality of their work. Also they gave me a 15-year guarantee on their workmanship.

I was very satisfied with the work they did. My only complaint was weather related, the weather held up the process of the repair work which was no fault of Bachman's. I will definitely use them again.

Everything went very well, excellent.

They are quick. They did what I wanted them to do. They did do a good job. They were very nice to work with. They were all very pleasant. They were very respectful of my property. I do not have anything negative to say about them. I had another quote from someone else at the same time and they were pretty compatible, and of course you would always like it to be cheaper than it is. When I signed the contract they said they would be finished by a certain date and it was getting close to that date and they had not started, so I called them and reminded them, and asked them how much they were going to pay me for each day they were late and they came out very shortly thereafter and got it done in a very quickly manner.

They were very professional. They did everything they said and took care of all my interests and needs. I got estimate from five different places and their price was probably the lowest.

Mark Brunner, service technician, came to our home, gave us all the information about the shingles, what was in need of fixing did not over estimate the problems we had, He was very informative and polite and friendly. He was one of the reasons we went with Bachman's Roofing. When the day came for the work to be done the foreman was also very polite and friendly and the workers were very professional they worked hard and when the roof was done the clean up was so great not a nail was left behind. Thank you Bachman's Roofing.

Our initial contact with Bachman's Roofing was through an email request for them to contact us. Their Estimator/Construction Manager contacted us the next day. Within a week he was out to get all the details of what we wanted to do. Very shortly after we had our initial estimate. We made some additions and revisions a couple times and he was more than happy to work with us. They took care of everything involving the permitting and the PA One-call. As soon as we had the permit clearance they were on-site within a week. All of their workers were very friendly and respective of our property and more than happy to answer any questions. I was surprised, considering all the work we had done that involved our existing home, at the little amount of dirt and debris there was inside our home. When they were replacing the windows and doors they moved whatever was in their way that they could and they cleaned up as they went along. We had very few issues along the way and the ones we did were small and taken care of right away. Bachman's took care of everything from start to finish except for the painting of the new sunroom (we wanted to do that ourselves). Our final inspection was last week and we couldn't be more thrilled with how everything turned out.

Very good. The estimator came to the house, he was professional, polite, and very friendly. he showed up on time and answered all my questions. He even advised me not to perform the work i requested at this time, but to wait a few years until the entire roof needed to be replaced. He said it would save me time, money and the job would be better in the end. Very honest company and i will certainly use them when it is time to replace the roof. I feel i do not even need to look anywhere else, i can trust them.

Our entire experience, from estimate to completion of task, was quite positive.The workers arrived on time, well equipped and prepared to do the job. They completed the job in a timely manner (in one day), were respectful of us and our property, and thoroughly cleaned up. We are well satisfied with the finished roofing and gutters and would highly recommend Bachman Roofing to our family and friends.
