I called Transit Systems to get an estimate to move 3 chairs from CA to our home in PA. We wanted "white glove service", which means from home to home, where they bring the chairs into the house and remove all packing materials. From the beginning, each person with whom we spoke gave us helpful information and answered our concerns. The price was fair, they picked up and delivered on time. I would recommend Transit Systems and would use them again to move things either cross country or cross town. Thank you to all of you.

Icontacted this company, giving the details about some paintings I wanted shipped. They took all the information, then provided me with a quote (#768641) of $428.05, which they also sent by email, along with lovely words from "Phillip" about their customer service and great reviews. When I contacted them with the shipping date, they changed the quote to $660. Phillip told me the following: 1. It was not a quote but an estimate, which is an outright lie and manipulation, as it reads "Quote." (Note: quite obviously, the words quote and estimate do not mean the same thing, but are merely used as a means of tricking the customer.) 2. They were having another company do the shipping, which is why the cost was upped considerably. At that point I started complaing, first speaking with several people who promised to call back, but never did. The following day I spoke to Jessica at customer service, who did get back to me with an entirely different story, which was: Phillip said the change was due to a misunderstanding, specifically that he had not included the weight of the shipment in his "estimate." So we have Phillip changing his story and calling it a "misunderstanding," instead of the lie that it was. Note: A "misunderstanding" implies two or more people, not one person who made a mistake and couldn't own up to it. The result of this fiasco was that I spent hours dealing with a company that was out to cheat me. They deserve no trust, much less respect.

Very well. Would recommend Transit and use them again. Actual delivery was done by Conway Trucking lines. Their drivers were helpful and courteous. Be sure to use top quality boxes and shipping materials as the items get moved from truck to warehouse to truck.

They took care with my belongings, and they went over the top as far as customer service. I would recommend them to anybody.

They did not do the extra packing like we agreed on but everything did get moved in one piece. They were on time and no further complaints they brought everything upstairs into my apartment.

The pickup started in Dubuque, IA and it had to come all the way to Puyallup, WA. The only don'ts are only advice, when needing to ship something from state to state, for the smaller or even the largest moves, call Transit Systems, they wont disappoint you.

The driver who picked up my shipment was awesome. He was very helpful and considerate since I wasn't able to have the boxes at curbside due to heavy rains that day. He loaded the boxes from my garage to his truck and taped them all together, assuring me that he would wrap them with cling wrap back at the depot to make sure they would stay together and not be tossed around while being shipped across the country.

The pick up was on time with an advance call from driver who was very courteous and also helped to load the shipment. I was notified by email several times the status of her shipment. The driver from Denver called my daughter to let her know his window of delivery and it was delivered on time. Everything was safely delivered and the driver helped my wife and daughter take it upstairs to her apartment. This was the second time I used Transit Systems to transport my daughter's household goods and their sales representative Carol Trent assisted me both times. Carol was very professional and walked me through how we needed to pack and label everything and directed me where to locate boxes for her mattress and box springs and large HDTV. I have used other moving companies in the past and have been mostly disappointed with their services and cost. I would gladly recommend Transit Systems to anyone needing to move anything without having to worry about it getting there safely without damage and in a timely manner.

All went great despite all of the snowy weather!

It was horrible. They ended up "losing" my chair. I called 3 or 4 times, no answer. I finally contacted the CEO. He sent me an email apologizing for the inconvenience and he assured that he would give me the customer service I needed as well as contacting me by phone. My daughter finally told me that one of his representatives had contacted her and that I needed to call back. All they told me that was the chair was officially “lost”. I chose to not buy insurance because my understanding of it was it only covered damages, not lost property. And even if it did, how could they lose a 40” by 40” chair?! I since then have emailed the CEO directly, and attached an invoice from the furniture store for the exact same chair that they picked up and misplaced, I had heard no response. When I didn’t hear anything back from them, I contacted the 800 number that was in the email I received. I asked the person who was on the phone to have the CEO contact me directly. I then got back in touch with the original representative I was speaking with, and he proceeded to try to refund me my original shipping cost, almost making it seem like a favor. The story was changed many different times regarding the insurance and the different payout amounts. The website and the representative with whom I was speaking said that the merchandise was automatically insured for up to $500, and up to $750 for an extra $20 charge. They did not mention at all that this did not include “misplaced” merchandise. I decided to not purchase the insurance because I didn’t believe that they could cause up to $750 in damage to the chair. I also was alarmed to learn that they have been known to “misplace” merchandise, “find it” and then place the “unclaimed items” up for auction. Their company seems like they do very shady dealing, and shouldn't be trusted.

All contacts across the country had the info I needed and I felt peace of mind that my belongings were in good hands. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

No complaints. TRANSIT SYSTEMS, INC. is a well run company. I'd use them again.

Perfect every time I have used Transit Systems Inc.

We did not want the hassle of packing a rental truck ourselves and driving that distance. Transit Systems arranged the move and their driver & assistant loaded all of our boxes (including several guitars in hard cases), wrapped upholstered furniture and protected wood furniture to the truck. They even gave us a few minutes to finish vacuuming so that could be put on the truck also. Everything made it to Houston in perfect condition. I would use Transit Systems again and will recommend it highly to anyone needing a move.

Overall, I was pleased with their service with a few small hitches.When I initially talked with Customer Service on the phone, they were knowledgeable about what I needed, and were able to give me a price quote. They emailed the documentation to me and I was able to get the process started quickly. When they arrived to pick up the chest in Jackson, they picked it up a day ahead of schedule and luckily I was able to make arrangements for someone to meet the driver. A small glitch occurred while the article was in transit. I was never able to get infomation from the moving companies website, so I called their shipping department. I was given the standard answer of a transit time of two weeks. Which was actually fine since I was going to be out of town Wednesday through Saturday of the following week. Then the larger problems occurred with delivery. I received a call on Thursday that they would like to deliver the article on Friday. Since I'm out of town, I give them the name and phone number of the person who can meet them at my home and ask for a window of delivery time. They verify the information. But on Friday, I receive a call from the driver, who is at my home two hours ahead of the schedule and he doesn't have the name and phone number for the person who is going to let him in. Luckily I was able to reach her and the driver was able to wait about 20 minutes for her arrival. So it all worked out. But then after the article was dlievered, I get another automated email about the item being in transit and due for delivery. Obviously their system don't communicate effectively with their drivers and dispatchers! Overall I was satisfied with their service and would use them again. My only suggestion is that you be aware that they will usually beat their annouced times (not altogether a bad thing) and have people who have flexible schedules at the pcik-up and delivery points.

. I spoke with Robert O. at Transit Systems who was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely competent to work with me to find a suitable way to transport this order from Fla. to NY. The furniture had to be picked up in a short window of time and Robert was able to work this out- with extreme professionalism. All the people involved on both sides of the transaction were professional, friendly and efficient. Also, this was the best price I found after contacting a few companies. The desk arrived in perfect condition, everyone arrived exactly as promised. I was delighted dealing with this company. I was updated by emails during the shipping. Even the people who answered the phones were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about my needs. I would HIGHLY recommended Transit Systems to anyone who had to ship items. I thank everyone involved with our transaction and am grateful that I found their name on Angies List with many excellent ratings!

I had an antique table and chest that needed to be shipped from Colorado to California. I contacted Transit Systems via e mail and explained what I needed done. Within an hour or so I had a prompt and personal reply from one of their representatives. He was very helpful and always prompt in his communication with me -- whether via e mail or on the phone. Transit Systems offers a "white glove service" -- which is what I chose to use. They coordinated the pick up and packaging of the items from my son's home in Colorado to the drop off and unpacking of the items at my home in California. The items were packed very well and they arrived safe and sound. It took about 2 weeks from pick up to drop off. I would definitely use them again.

This company is a joke. I needed to ship a piece of furniture from Michigan to Oregon. After I paid for the shipment in full, the circus began. For 6 weeks they would leave a message on my Aunt's answering machine every Monday stating they would be there after 10am on a weekday. My Aunt would call them back - every week - and ask they did an afternoon pick up so she did not have to take off work or come at noon when her husband was off work. After a few weeks of this cycle my Aunt asked to speak to the supervisor because it was obvious no one was communicating in their company. Finally the supervisor told her it was inconvenient for them to have to go back to that side of town, it had to be a morning pick up, and they don't work weekends. At that time I begin to contact via email to see what my options were, no reply for 10 days, I email again - no reply. I finally email Kathy who took my payment and started the transaction. They have now had my money for nearly 2 months, no communication and the run around. I tell Kathy if you can't do the job just refund my money. She then tells me they will charge me a $100 cancellation fee. At this time it was mid December (October 22nd started the process) My Aunt had 2 weeks off work - I tell Kathy you have two weeks to pick this up, if not I am going to the BBB - she tries to absolve them of any bad business behavior. I thought giving them 2 weeks on their preferred time schedule they would be able to pick it up right away - it was near the end of the 2 weeks. I only knew they picked it up because my Aunt told me. I never received an email or phone call. Three more weeks go by and I hear nothing. Not an email, not a tracking number - NOTHING. I email Kathy again - Oh sorry we sent you emails - it must have went in your junk mail. I was checking the folder all along - no emails. They were able to email me just fine before the pick up, when they actually sent an email. She states it should be there in a week. Nearly 3 weeks past after that email and I finally get a call late in the evening stating it will be there between 1-5pm. I asked them to call me 30 minutes before arrival so I could leave work. They did not. I knew in my gut they would not even give me that courtesy call so I made a preemptive strike by working from home that afternoon. I did not know what to expect from this company any more. Thankfully, the piece was not damaged but it took 3 months. It was a very irritating process. They dropped the ball the entire time. This company is a 3-ring circus. Not worth the hassle. Pay the extra money and go with another company.

They had the best price, the communication was great and all around a good service. Adam was great. Would definitely use them again.

Kathy at Transit Systems was very helpful. She provided clear explanations of what was needed at both ends of our small move. The commercial shipper, YRC, was excellent. The two pallets of boxes were delivered as scheduled with no damage or loss.
