Description of Work: They help me move twice from Salt Lake City to Texas and back to Salt Lake. Both times they were able to provide a reasonable price and on-time pick up/delivery. Price is based on the total weight of your boxes. They are brokers and are responsible to contact truck lines (in my case Conway) to complete your shipment. Excellent job!

Description of Work: I didn't actually pay for them, but I received a shipment through them sent by my parents. They delivered me a pallet full of boxes shrink-wrapped together. They were flexible about scheduling a delivery time and the only negative about the boxes was that they were dusty! Small issue when all of the fragile items were delivered intact.

Description of Work: My daughter needed to move from California to Indy, but did not have enough stuff to justify a traditional moving company. The half dozen large boxes she had (mostly clothes and small household objects) were picked up on time and delivered a few days later to our home in Indianapolis. The cost and effort were much less than using USPS or UPS. It was very easy arranging and was perfect for her situation.

Description of Work: They arranged for a mover for a few pieces of antique furniture to be moved from Columbia, S.C. to Portland, OR. |The process took a while, (because it was only a few pieces) but the people at Transit Systems were very helpful, and kept me apprised of where we were in the process. The furniture arrived in very good condition.

Description of Work: Shipment was prompt & picked up on time by a very courteous & helpful driver. Shipment was fast; only 3 days in transit. Shipment was delivered when scheduled and was in good shape, although the outer wrapping had taken a fair beating (to be expected with something as awkward & bulky as a king size mattress I suppose). Price was at least 25%-50% less than similar quotes. An altogether satisfactory experience. Thumbs up to Transit Systems Inc.!

Description of Work: Extremely professional service. Shipped antiques from my mother's estate in Chicago to Virginia. The furniture was carefully packaged, unpacked and the workers were polite and efficient. They are the only one I would trust to move antiques and I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: TSI is a broker who arranges for moving / transportation services with other companies. As the customer of TSI I had no influence on the transportation company chosen for my move. Therefore, it became luck of the draw as to whether I got a good, capable mover or not. Unfortunately in this case the mover was only marginal.

Description of Work: I contacted Transit Systems to do a move from one state to another state. They gave me delivery timeframe of 10 days (meaning they would deliver anytime within that 10 day window). After arranging my work and family schedule to accommodate that window, Transit Systems arrived with my delivery OVER a week late. Several of my items were damaged. I submitted my claim of damages about a week after my delivery in July 2015. As of late September, 2015, I have not heard from the company or a representative. | |SUGGESTIONS: First, use another company. If for some reason you do use them, take photographs of your items BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER the move. You will need these to make any claims of damages. Weigh your items yourself to be sure the weight count is accurate.

Description of Work: I used Transit Systems Inc. for moving services for my mom's move. It was from New York to here and they moved some individual items. They came and picked up the stuffs like they were shipping. They got it all packed up, and then, they delivered it a week later.

+ -1 moreFurniture was picked up on date promised, removed from home, wrapped in protective blankets and shrink wrapped. Received a call from Company agent about a week after pick up that they would notify us when it arrived in Texas to inform us of delivery date. Original delivery was scheduled for Thursday 5/10/12 between 7 and 9 PM. We received a call from the trucker about 5 PM on 5/10/12 that they were in Olathe, KS and that they had an 8 hour drive with gas up and meal and were we still interested in delivery that night or could they deliver @ 7 AM the next day, Friday 5/11/12. We agreed to that. They promptly arrived @ 7 AM. The two individuals were very polite and efficient. They unwrapped every item, placed it where we wanted it in the bedroom and removed and took away the wrappings. When we pointed out that the two twin mattresses they delivered were not ours, but that we were missing a dresser and a blanket chest, they promptly removed the mattresses and located the missing furniture on the truck. No damage to any item. Total time spent 45 minutes. We are very pleased with the service and would use Transit Systems again if we needed to.
Description of Work: 14 pieces of heavy (Approx.1000 lb.) Amish bedroom furniture was wrapped, picked up in Tucson, AZ on 4/25/12 and delivered in Lincoln, NE on 5/11/12. Half of fee was paid up front, half a few days before delivery. No additional charges were assessed beyond original quoted price.

They communicated via phone prior to pickup and delivery. Transit Movers might be a logistics company (i.e. didn't do the moving themselves, merely arranged it all). Satisfied, would use again.

+ -1 moreThe company did a nice job establishing communication with the Missouri folks and arranging for pick-up. The family on that end was very impressed with the wrapping job in preparation for the shipment. I received the item about two weeks later, and I also thought it was well-wrapped. Two gentlemen unloaded the hall tree, unwrapped it, and worked with me on a desirable placement. They were very pleasant to work with, said they would be at my house at 7 a.m. and arrived at 7:10. I had not been able to find any company that would handle the move of one item, so I was very pleased to find these folks and think it worked out well.
Description of Work: The task was to move one piece of furniture from Missouri to Wisconsin. The item was an antique hall tree weighing about 100 pounds. The charges were $383.59 for the move, $112.50 for professional wrapping for the move and $20 for $500 of insurance. The item was picked up in Missouri, shipped to a warehouse in Indiana and from there to Wisconsin. I have also submitted a report on Anchor Moving systems, who handled the local leg.
