Roll-Off Dumpster Direct

I contacted several different companies for a dumpster rental. Roll-Off was the most affordable and had the best conditions. I had issues on my end with the on-line rental and customer service was super helpful in helping me resolve those issues. Delivery was early and pick up was on time. Every aspect was completely explained and they made sure I understood the restrictions and billing process. Again, everyone involved was super helpful and their dedication to superior customer service made for a great experience.

From start to finish this company was helpful, professional and courteous. The website is clear on terms and conditions. Delivery was on time and placed exactly as I requested. I extended the time a week and pick up was on the day I asked for. It's great when you get excellent service and I would definately use this company again.

They delivered on time and exactly the location where I wanted the dumpster. I had it for several days and followed the guidelines of keeping items below the top. When I was finished they picked up on time and without any issues. This was one of the smoothest transactions that I have ever experienced.

It was great. On the web site it gave descriptions of each dumpster to help one decide which size would be good for them. Also on the website it gave an exact cost of what it would be to have one delivered and kept for 21 days. If 21 days wasn't enough time, keeping the dumpster extra weeks was very inexpensive and easy to do. I would use them again.

The dumpster was delivered promptly on the day I requested. I was not home at the time of delivery, but the driver placed the dumpster exactly where I requested and even placed plywood beneath the dumpster wheels so it would not damage my driveway. I got quotes from several waste companies in my area. For the 10 cubic yard dumpster I needed, other companies wanted at least twice as much as I payed through Roll-Off Dumpster Direct. Since Roll-Off Dumpster Direct is a broker, they are not actually the owner's of the dumpster. They bargain with the waste companies in your area to give you the lower price. I was actually surprised to see that the waste company who provided the dumpster was the one who quoted me well over $600 for the very same dumpster. Roll-Off Dumpster Direct was able to provide it to me for $376. When I was finished with the dumpster, I requested the pick up date online. Just as with delivery, the dumpster was picked up exactly when requested with no problems whatsoever. I definitely would use Roll-Off Dumpster Direct if I needed to rent a dumpster again.

After pricing around, Roll off dumpsters had the best price and you could keep it for 21 days -- at least a week longer than any other company I had researched. In addition, the accurate price was given instantly online. At about 4:30 pm on a Friday, I put an online request in for a 10 yard dumpster, asking for it the following day. I assumed it would be delivered on Monday. I don't live at my new house yet so when I showed up the next morning at 10 am, I was shocked to see it already there and in the exact location that I had requested. The pick up went just as smoothly. I put the request in online and the following day it was gone.

The Good: 100% Web Based service. Really easy to schedule, arrange delivery, pickup and pay for dumpster service. They allow you to have the dumpster for 21 days, which is the longest allotment that I have seen for a dumpster rental. By far the best value in a dumpster service. The Bad: Because rolloffdumpsterdirect.com is simply a broker, a "middle man" if you will, they have limited accountability if something goes wrong or does not seem right. Here is what went wrong for me: WM (Waste Management) was the dumpster provider in my area. Immediately I was concerned. Why?, because on the wm.com website, they charge $653 for the same 30-yard dumpster, and it was only for 3 days use. I paid $463 for the same sized dumpster, provided by the same WM, and I had it for 21 days. I had a feeling in my gut that this was not going to end well for me, because WM has a bad reputation, and I found out why. I had possession of the dumpster for 18 days, and made arrangements to have the dumpster picked up on day 20 (They require at least 24 hours advance notice, I gave them 48). The scheduled pick up day came and no pick up. I contacted rolloffdumpsterdirect via their online form expressing concern that WM did not pick up the dumpster, and since it was now so close to the end of my rental period, I did not want to be charged additional days of rent. My wife was home all day waiting, as they recommend that someone be home during pick up (but not required). Since my contact submission was after 5pm (when they close), I did not get an immediate response. The next day at 6:45 in the morning, after the scheduled day that was a pick-up no show, a WM truck comes down the street. I thought to my self, "There is no way that is our pick up, not at this hour", it sure was. My wife and I got out of bed, moved the cars, and the driver loaded it up and left at 7:05 (20 minutes in and out) 2 Weeks had passed and I get an email invoice for the dumpster. When I opened it, "I blew my stack". There was an additional $125 "Wasted Trip" Fee and an additional $54 for extra weight. I immediately replied to the email invoice insisting that there was no way that the "Wasted Trip" fee was applicable here. We scheduled the pick up and made arrangements to make sure that the dumpster was accessible for pickup, and my wife was home if any assistance was needed. The trucks are very loud, my wife was on alert, there was absolutely no way that a WM truck came down our street on that day. So I challenged the charge. rolloffdumpsterdirect replied with the statement from WM. Personal Vehicle in the way at 4:11 pm. No description, and no photo's of the "Alleged Vehicle". Just a random statement that cost me an additional $125. So if figured if they were going to make up that charge, and not provide any proof, who's to say the over weight fee was legit. So I challenged that as well (Do the math, $463 + $125 + $52 = $640 which is closer to the $653 that WM charges - see where I'm going with that). I also noticed that my pickup was made at 6:45 am, the "Alleged Wasted Trip" time was 4:11pm, that's a good 10+ hour shift, so in my opinion, I believe the driver did not want to work overtime that day - again, just my opinion. In rolloffdumpsterdirect's defense, they were given an invoice from WM, they simply passed it on to me. The problem that I have is that there is no accountability for these charges. rolloffdumpsterdirect does not required that the dumpster vendor to provide any proof of these charges, no description of vehicle, no photo's, not even a phone call to say "Hey there was a vehicle in the way", nothing. So each time I contacted rolloffdumpsterdirect, they had the same reply, nothing they could do. They are stuck in the middle - and I totally understood their position, but for me as a customer of theirs, I had little recourse to challenge the extra fee's. After a month of battling this, rolloffdumpsterdirect went ahead an charged my CC the full amount plus the extra fee(s). That's where they messed up. I immediately contacted my bank and filed a fraudulent charge complaint. Long story short, I presented my all of my email correspondence with rolloffdumpsterdirect to the fraud dept and successfully showed that the extra charges where unjustified, thus I got the extra charges, above the agreed $463, refunded to me. So the moral of the story is if you are going to use any, I mean, any, of these dumpster services, make sure you "CYA". Take photo's of your dumpster, what's in it and everything that is around it - make sure it has a time stamp feature. Otherwise these extra fee's can appear unexpectedly on your invoice, and you as a customer may or may not have any recourse.

Dumpster Direct delivered the dumpster on time and set it down on a convenient location of our driveway. We kept the dumpster for 3 weeks. We are moving and cleaned out 2 garages, attic and removed some unwanted household items. We also got rid of a lot of cinder blocks from an old retaining wall that we replaced. The stone took us over the limit allowed for the 20 yd capacity, but DD warned us that it probably would. The price was $440 for the initial 2.5 tons and then another $169 (approx.) for the extra 2 tons (at $84/ton). All in all the service and communication was professional, courteous and on time. I would use Dumpster Direct again.

I used Rolloff because they seemed to have decent prices and I knew that I would need the dumpster for an extended period of time while we worked on 2 bathrooms. They charged the lowest weekly fee to keep the dumpster past the initial 2 weeks included. The website was easy to use and the people I spoke to when I called were generally nice and helpful. Drop off went smoothly. Joe even called to check in when we had had the dumpster for a few weeks past the initial rental period to see how things were going. When we finished with the dumpster I scheduled a pick up online. This winter has been very snowy and our driveway, while not very long, is longer than average. We had had a storm a week or so earlier and my husband snow ploughed and salted the driveway. As we didn't have any trouble with access (I drive a minivan, the mailman and FedEx are up and down it every day, and my 19 month old twins had been playing on it safely) I didn't even consider that it would be a problem for the large trucks used to pick up the dumpsters. The pick up guy came as scheduled, but left without knocking or calling (I was home the whole time) and he left the dumpster. When I called Rolloff the following day they were unaware of what happened. They called me back after speaking to their dispatcher and told me that the driveway had to be "100% clear of all ice and snow" before we could schedule pick up. Well, it took about a week before we had 2 or 3 days above freezing so that I felt sure we were "100% clear." The second pick up attempt was successful, although they showed up the day before I had requested. I would have been fine with all of this (it HAS been a terrible winter!) except that I was charged an extra $100 for the "wasted visit" and I was also charged a rental fee for the week between the two scheduled pick ups. While I understand that I am responsible for snow removal on my property, this felt wrong. This may have sat better with me had I been told a head of time given the winter that we were having that this was their policy. I don't know that they did anything wrong, it just felt uncomfortable to me. Ultimately, the dumpster I expected to pay $450 (plus a few extra weeks for at $25 a week) ended up costing me closer to $850. We are starting a kitchen renovation next week and I am using a different company- and I was very careful to ask lots of hypothetical questions this time :)

They were fantastic. We were terrible customers: we changed start dates twice,, and kept it overlong without contacting them. They had to contact us. And yet they couldn't have been nicer. (Not sure of the dates we had it)

My experience with them was great. They were easy to use and were quick and responsive. They had good pricing. The let me keep the dumpster upto 3 weeks.
