My husband (who can be a tough guy to please) calls Michelle the best real estate agent in Delaware County and I could not agree more. We cannot say enough great things about Michelle and will recommend her to everyone we know. We began looking for a new home in a very specific area at a time when the inventory was extremely low. Our search went on for several months and we made multiple offers on houses that fell through for different reasons but she was ever so patient with us and never the least bit pushy. Michelle knew her job was to look out for our best interests and we never felt that her commission was more important than us. For example she pushed us to get a stucco inspection on a house on which we had made an offer. The inspection revealed that the house had a $150,000 to $200,000 problem and needless to say, the sale fell through along with her commission. Had it not been for her looking out for us we would have been financially devastated. We had other setbacks with offers as well and she was always positive and patient as we resumed the search. Over the many months we searched there was almost never a time when she was not available when it was convenient for us. There were a couple of weekends that we wanted to see a house when she was out of town but each time she planned the trip so she could be back early enough on Sunday to take us to whatever we wanted to see. Michelle was proactive and a problem solver. The MLS makes it easy for many agents to sit back and wait for their clients to call about a listing they saw online. Michelle did not do that and was very proactive in helping us find what we were looking for. Even though we got the MLS listing she would also review them in the event we had missed something (which happened from time to time). On a few occasions there were houses that she thought, but was not sure, might be of interest to us so she walked through them before hand to determine whether they were something we would want to see. At times when we had exhausted everything there was to look at on the market she went back to expired listing and actually got us into to see houses that were no longer on the market. She also encouraged us to look at houses below our price range on good lots with the idea of adding an addition, which is the kind of house we ultimately bought. This of course cost her at commission time but as I said before she was more interested in us than in her commission. Michelle was also always professional and prepared. She was ready with good inspectors and contractors for issues we wanted professional opinions on and took the lead on getting the financial people organized for closing. Another great thing about Michelle is that she has lived in the Media area all her life and gave us great advice on traffic patterns, flooding, neighborhood dynamics and other things that an out of town realtor simply cannot give you any input on. She is easy going, patient and friendly.
