Mike and Jim were punctual and courteous. They installed three dead bolts and did a very good job. They also replaced existing hardware to match the new dead bolts. Mike also took the time to fix a lock on my patio gate that was not properly latching. I would call Dayton Lock Company again. Before I called Dayton, I had called another company but the were not available. Dayton did and Mike and Jim did very good work.

I was amazed that Dayton's was able to repair the lock that had been on the front door for decades. And, they did it for very little money, and were extremely polite and efficient. They were actually first recommended to me by Ricklin's Hardware in Narberth.

The gentleman was quick and professional and pleasant.

Our front door lock was broken and the locks on the 3 outside doors did not match and we had to use 3 different keys. I wanted the two locks per door replaced. Kevin called to let me know he was on his way. He worked quickly and efficiently, cleaning up after himself. He was very professional and polite. I highly recommend them.

Dayton called to confirm the appointment, they also called the day before. They had an opening earlier and wanted to know if we were interested to move up our appointment. They showed up on time, fixed the problem and were very reasonable, and polite. Definitely will do business with them again.

We had Dayton come to our new house (right after closing) to re-key the locks before we started moving stuff into the house. Through a combination of email and phone calls, we were able to get the appointment scheduled a few weeks in advance, although we weren't entirely sure what would need to be done. On the day of our appointment, the locksmith called 10 min before arrival, and arrived on time. He worked quickly and efficiently, and left no mess behind! The sliding door lock was not catching on the latch plate, so he adjusted it as well. He also took measurements for the front door lock in case we decide to replace the hardware - this will speed up the ordering process. Overall, it took him about 1 hour to re-key 3 exterior doors, make a few extra copies of the key, and fix the sliding door lock. I was very pleased with his professionalism and attention to detail. Update: In my original review, I gave this provider all A ratings. About 3 weeks after the initial service, we started having problems with the front door lock - the deadbolt inside was not shooting the bolt into the door frame, and the doorknob was not turning. I spoke with the locksmith and described the problem; he agreed to try and squeeze us in a few days later. The day of the agreed service, he told my husband over the phone that he'd told me there was a bigger problem with the front door lock and that we needed to replace the hardware to fix the problem. (I don't recall him telling me that.) He said emphatically that there was nothing he could do, but very grudgingly said he'd come out if we really wanted him to. We didn't bother scheduling an appointment - which would have been at least 1 week out - or discussing this with the office staff because we were so frustrated. I have a hard time reconciling the great service we got initially with the unwillingness to even check up on his work later. Good thing lock work is not something we will need to do regularly.

They are knowledgeable, efficient, and fair.

Mike arrived promptly and was very friendly and professional. He was able to quickly take all the locks out of our house, garage and basement doors, and re-key all of them in his truck. It took him about half an hour to get it done, including making 8 new keys for us. I was very pleased with the service and would use Dayton again for any additional locksmith needs.

They came very promptly. They did the work very efficiently. They were very pleasant. We will certainly use them again if we need to. He changed the locks that were working for three centuries or so.

A secure system lock froze on one of our doors. I contacted Dayton Locks initially to repair/replace the broken lock and then rekey it to our other door. Mr. Dayton patiently explained he was unable to perform services other than replacement on our secure system and I should contact the company who did install it and have them perform the service. He also put us on the schedule to replace the lock if the other company was unresponsive. After several attempts to contact the other company failed to get even a return phone call (don't worry, they are not currently on Angie's List), I phoned Dayton Locks a second time and explained my situation. They came out promptly the next day. I ended up having both the broken lock and another secure lock replaced, and keyed so 1 key now opens all of my doors. I was very pleased with the professionalism of the gentleman who came out to do the work. He was pleasant, clean, polite. He explained exactly what he would be doing and the costs involved (thanks for the $10 coupon, Angie's List). In hindsight, I could have saved some $$ if I had purchased the deadbolts myself online. The price of the locks from Dayton was competitive to purchasing them from any local locksmith. I would not hesitate contacting them again in the future.

I consulted Angie's List for a locksmith and called Dayton Lock. The person who answered was very nice and suggested we email photos of the doors, which we did. This step helped answer a number of questions. I called back to make an appointment. Kevin showed up on time and also took care of the two additional issues. I had an emergency just as he was finishing and he finished in time for me to get to the scene of the emergency. Dayton Lock has a permanent place in my phone book and I would happily use the company again.

I called the locksmith and the phone about what I wanted on either Nov 27 or 28. The person there asked me to check the make of the locks. I was able to find the name on one of them, but not the other. I think we both assumed that they would be the same. The locksmith said they would be able to do what I asked, and gave me a "ballpark" cost estimate of $150, as I recall. I did not write it down, as it was a "ballpark" estimate, and I understood that it might not be exactly that. The person servicing the locks arrived as expected, on Dec 3. When he looked, it turned out that the makes were different for the 2 locks. I assume that this is what made the actual cost a bit greater than the estimated cost. I am satisfied with the result.

I had a last minute need to change my locks. They were so helpful and nice to work with. I would recommend them everytime!

My main door's lock has been finicky lately. We had another locksmith come about a year ago, charge me $75 and tell me there wasn't anything they could do. I called Dayton on a Monday morning and he offered me Friday afternoon. He was very apologetic and confirmed that I could indeed lock and unlock my door. He also asked if I wanted to be called if they had a cancellation. I said yes. Well, it wasn't more than 2 hours and a service tech called and asked if he could come over now. He spent about an hour with the door and diagnosed the problem as the lock mechanism itself. He suggested I call the manufacturer and ask for a replacement part as they often give them for free to keep customers happy. He also cleaned and tightened all the door screws. It worked much better. Okay, how much? No sir, we really didn't do anything, just call when you get the part and we will come over and put it in for you. Amazing. The door lock works for now and I'll let you know what happens when I get the replacement part.

Overall good experience. Sales rep examined the lock and told me how to fix it without pressuring me to scrap it and buy something new. He showed me a replacement if the lock couldn't be fixed but that wasn't necessary because the lock was barely bent. Very knowledgable!
