Highly recommended. Andre was a pleasure to work with... He made the project fun and delivered a beautiful bathroom. His experience and focus on kitchens and baths set him apart during the hiring process. He was considerate of our work/life schedule and always left our home clean after each workday (eg. Day 1 he set-up HEPA air filters to mitigate dust from the demo phase). He did the job right and corrected plumbing and framing issues left behind from the prior remodel. He listened to our ideas and struck a good balance with our ideas and his knowledge of what works well. We could not be happier with our new bathroom!

Andre recently completed a second bathroom renovation for us and we were absolutely delighted with the results - and the process. The bathrooms in our 100+ year old home present multiple complications for a contractor - layers of heavy tile to tear out, multiple layers of floor, uneven floors that need to be fixed, outdated plumbing and electrical that is difficult to figure out. But Andre takes it all in stride. For the second time, he has torn out and beautifully remodeled one of our bathrooms. Andre is careful, thoughtful, thorough, and meticulous about his work and we are 100% confident that we would could not find a contractor that we would be more comfortable with - which is why he is returning to renovate our 3rd bathroom. He is honest in his opinions, and in his proposals. If something comes up that will change the original proposal (which I believe does not happen often) he communicates the change right away. On multiple occasions, he has made suggestions to us about materials or design that have really improved the outcome of our projects and we are very grateful for that. Andre is also a great person to have working in the house! My kids love him and always want to go check on what he's doing. He gets along with them great and never acts bothered, even when they keep pestering him. We'll all be sad to see him go when he finishes the last bathroom!

Great experience and very pleased with the finished product! Andre's work and planning are meticulous! This was our first bathroom renovation and we really felt that we could trust Andre's guidance and recommendations. All work was completed in time and within budget. Andre was very communicative throughout the life if the project about the progress made each day and his plans for next steps. The payment schedule was based on key milestones completed. We were very happy to know that he is certified in working with lead paint since this is an older home. He took to care to ensure safety and best practices including a venting system to reduce dust outside the work area. Even wiped down our hallway and stairs after each day.

Could not be more HAPPY !!! We received extraordinary assistance and advice from Andre Simone. Andre was able to help us coordinate the cabinets and counter tops to match the style of our home. He personally met with us to discuss the different types of cabinet layouts as well as choices of granite. We could not be happier with our kitchen choices. It is not only gorgeous, but also very well-designed. We especially like the functional features of the cabinets. They are spacious and operate flawlessly. We cannot thank Andre enough for designing and guiding us. The kitchen has been a wonderful addition to our home. Andre is not only a great contractor, but a great person too. Our four year old son fell in love with Andre. He couldn't not have been more patient with him. Andre loved showing him all his tools and also how some of the work was completed. Lastly, I think Andre left our house cleaner then when he bagan working. His work is meticulous, he treats your house as if it were his own. You will NOT be disappointed when it comes to working with Andre. I look forward to him redoing out master bathroom in the near future!

Surprised to see all of the positive reviews for this contractor. Could just have been a one-off, but my experience with Mr. Simone was disappointing and off-putting. I couldn’t even get past the initial phone conversation with him. On June 16, I called and asked to speak with Andre to request him to come out to my home for work on my kitchen. He immediately asked what type of work I was looking to have done. When I told him I was planning to replace my kitchen cabinets and install a dishwasher, he abruptly responded “That’s not worth it for me”. Not expecting that reaction, I inquired why it wouldn’t be worth his time. His very matter-of-fact response was that “I only do large kitchen jobs.” He prescribed that I should connect with a handy man (at this point, you can imagine I’m feeling pretty incompetent). I told him I called him because I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to this type of work and I was simply looking for a bid and understanding of the work ahead. I told him I was calling because of his positive ratings on Angie’slist which details multiple reviews from a wide spectrum of costs: $800, $2,000, $1,400, $12,000, $25,000, and up. There is even an Angie’s List offer for $1,200 to do 30 Square feet of backsplash?? His response to this was “I’m not even on Angie’s List. You can see more than I can. I can’t recall doing any type of work for $800.” Now, I feel as though I am being lied to. If Mr. Simone is “not on Angie’s List”, then why does he offer special rates for Angie’s members and why does there appear to be replies from him to a number of member ratings on this page? He then asked where I live and that if it was close enough, he would come out to take a look. When I told him my house is in Malvern, he said “Yeah. That’s not close. The job isn’t worth it.” Is it really that far from Wayne to Malvern? After I explained that I am looking for someone with expert knowledge due to the fact that kitchen layout will need sever altering, he began to inquire more and realized he misunderstood the work I was hoping to accomplish. He thought I was looking to take out a single cabinet and replace with a dishwasher. No sir. Much bigger. He then completely changed his tone and said “Well then maybe it is worth it for me.” Unfortunately, Mr. Simone never gave a moment’s thought as to why it would be worth it for ME to hire him. Nor did he apologize. He probed further and I explained I was hoping to preserve as much of my beautiful granite counters as possible. He pretty much alluded to the idea that there was no way to do that and I would need to spend $ on all new counter tops. He quoted that at a minimum, this was going to be a $25,000 job. And he knows all of this thanks to his 2+ decades of experience. I, on the other hand, know for fact this is possible. I have seen it done. And while it is difficult, it’s not impossible. I didn’t like where this was headed and decided to end the inquiry with Andre. I’m not looking to work with someone who can’t demonstrate an open-mind or willingness to partner on a vision--no matter how large or small my job is. I’ve had numerous work completed on my house. How can you provide a minimal quote before even seeing the job and sizing up the specs? And someone really needs to give Andre a lesson on vendor/client relationship management. I appreciate transparency and candidness, but I also put value on profesionalism and contractor relationships that WANT to understand my needs and prove their value proposition; not interview me on whether I am worth their time and effort.

We had been dreading having the bathroom renovated because of the time, headache, noise and mess. However, the entire process (and the outcome) were so much better than we ever could have imagined. It was so easy to work with Andre. He gave us realistic estimates of cost and time, suggested some excellent design changes that make the bathroom so much more functional (and beautiful), and completed the work carefully and in a timely manner. He takes his work very seriously and is a perfectionist in the best possible way. We talked to some other contractors before we hired Andre and asked them about some of the changes Andre had suggested - such as installing a pocket door to give us more room in the bathroom. They said it could not be done and we would have to stick with our current layout. It was pretty clear that they simply didn't want to be bothered making certain changes, or thinking through them, but it was not an issue for Andre. His goal is to provide an ideal product and he does everything that he can to deliver that. Andre is a true craftsman and does things the right way, rather than the easy way or the fast way. Our home is over 100 years old and he came across some surprises during the tearout that required some pipes to be moved, some work to make the floor even, some removal of old wiring (that we thought had been previously removed). However, Andre handled all of the problems that arose with care and attention. When he tried to install the floor tile we had selected, it simply would not lay right on the floor. (This was our fault - we picked a pretty shoddy floor tile). We selected a new tile and Andre called suppliers to find it in stock. He was able to pick up the new tile and start installing it the next day. I was at home during most of the renovation and it was a pleasure to have Andre around the house. He's an interesting guy and has a great sense of humor. He did a great job of keeping us informed about how the renovation was progressing, the problems that arose and how he planned to deal with them. We have at least two more bathrooms that need to be renovated and we would not dream of hiring anyone other than Andre. In fact, I wish he did more than bathrooms and kitchens because we'd hire him to everything. If you are looking for someone to renovate your bathroom or kitchen, look no further. I'm confident that you won't find anyone better than Andre. Working with him was far and away the best experience we've ever had with any service provider.

Andre Simone did an excellent job on my backsplash. His work was professional and skillfully done. He arrived on time and the job was completed on schedule. I will definitely use him again as he is efficient and highly competent with rigorous attention to details. I highly appreciated that he addressed my requests for last minute changes with patience and respect.

Andre performed a major renovation of our master bath. Andre was one of four contractors who we interviewed. He replied to our inquiry promptly, he was on time to our meeting. He was extremely helpful with our design and choice of materials. Andre has strong opinions about how things should be done and what materials will give you the best outcome. His advice is worth listening to but in the end he will let you do what you want to do. Andre does almost all the work himself, except for installing the glass shower enclosure. He is a real craftsman and cleans up everyday. He started on time; finished on schedule and on budget. Andre is extremely honest and professional. In two instances the choices we made on materials were less than he had allowed for in his quote. On both occasions, he let us know that we were due a credit at the end and we received it. We enjoyed having Andre in our home. Besides being a real professional he is a good guy. We have had two minor issues where we have called him. On both occasions he responded very quickly (same day) and resolved the problem in a very timely manner. We would highly recommend Andre. We are just sorry he only does kitchens and baths. He is the best contractor we have ever worked with on a remodel.

Andre' performed his services with great care and attention to detail. As an example: He inspected the sink cabinet when it was received. Upon discovering a blemish in the finish, he immediately contacted the manufacturer. He was very careful about containing dust and cuttings. He brought in HEPA air cleaners, hung heavy canvas on the bathroom door. Each day, he laid canvas on floors and stairs leading up to the work. He was excellent about minimizing the disruption that most home remodeling projects can cause. We are very pleased with our new bathroom and Andre' Simone' work.

Andre did a fantastic job of renovating our master bathroom. He performed a complete demolition down the studs while completely preventing dust from the rest of the house. He then re-framed some of the walls, tiled, built a ceramic shower, ran electric, and installed all fixtures and vanities. He managed all supplies and shipments. He was friendly, easy to communicate with, and a pleasure to work with. He personally performed all work on his own, except for the installation of the shower glass at the very end. All details were attended to and his work is of the highest caliber. He made the remodeling process smooth and stress free. I can say there were absolutely no problems with his craftsmanship. The finished bathroom looks fantastic and we recommend Andre 100%.

Andre is extremely professional and likable. 1) He contacted us within 10 minutes of purchasing the deal, and this was on the weekend. 2) He scheduled a visit that day for our consultation for an evening during the week when my wife and I were both home to speak with him. 3) He showed up on time and fully prepared. 4) He exuded confidence and experience with remodeling bathrooms 5) He was extremely friendly and took his time explaining all of the details 6) He gave us a detailed list of what the next steps would be. When we ultimately learned that we would be moving and unable to schedule the work we had planned, Andre was extremely understanding and accommodating. He offered to work with us and Angies' lIst on coming up with a plan make us whole. Don't walk, run to hiring Andre for your next project - you will glad that you did.

After he came out and took a look at our project, he proposed a quote. This project was going to be a bit more than we expected, needing to replacing the drywall completely before placing the new tile so it would be able to be completely guaranteed by him. He was completely professional and very knowledgable, unfortunately, at this time our budget was not set up for this project. I really appreciated the fact that he called me to follow up with me to see if I had made a permanent decision since my deadline of the 30 day refund guarantee was coming up. I would definitely consider using his services in the future under different circumstances.

I received a "big deal" email promotion for this contractor, and although my bath remodel was likely to be more involved to qualify for the deal pricing, the positive reviews made me inclined to contact Andre. I spoke to him on Friday, November 14. He answered the call himself, and we spoke for 5 minutes about the scope of the work. He took down all my contact info. We scheduled an appointment for Thursday, November 20 at 7pm. When Andre hadn't shown by 7:20 , I called him to see if he was on his way and he said I had the wrong number. Huh?? I reminded him of our appointment and prior conversation. He said "Oh yeah" , "can I call you back in 10 minutes"? 20 minutes later and no call back. Shocking, right? I called back, and when he didn't pick up I left a message thanking him for wasting my time, and letting him know I'd leave a review on Angie's list. He called close to 8pm and left a voicemail saying he could show up at 8:15. We weren't even home at that point. I'm pretty flexible , so if he had at least called and said he couldn't make it, or he was really busy and couldn't take on additional jobs, I would have understood. But don't just not show up. It's unprofessional and not a way to run a business. I

Andre Simone is a treasure, although a young man he has the old world values of precision and perfection in his work . He exceeded our expectations in producing a great new shower and bathroom. It went great. Andre came when he said he would, and worked on the job until it was completed. We had a lot of tile work done, and it all looks beautiful. Andre insists on using top quality materials, which is one reason we hired him for the job. It was worthwhile, everything looks great and the custom frameless glass shower enclosure is exceptional.

We were very happy with our master bathroom remodel and very happy that we chose Andre Simone to do it. As we usually do for any work, we got three bids. After interviewing the three contractors, we selected Andre. He was not the least expensive, but he seemed to have the most established process. In fact, we were a little concerned that he had such very strong opinions. We were worried that he might be difficult to work with. But we wanted to hire an expert to do specialized work so we went with the guy who seemed to be the most knowledgeable and had the most clear cut process about how to get the job done. It was also clear through our conversations that Andre liked and took pride in his work. He spoke about it like a craftsman would and not someone who was just getting a paycheck. It turned out we were right. Andre walked us through the process from start to finish. He recommended several local suppliers of the materials we would need. The people at the stores knew him and knew what we needed to get. They walked us through the selections showing us our options in functionality, material, and price. After that Andre took over and ordered everything according to the measurements he had taken. Andre had a great attention to detail in his work. He stripped the bathroom down leaving the dry wall that looked in good shape and removing the rest. He went through and patched pieces of the under floor that were damaged. He did the little things that you would do as a homeowner that most contractors would not because it wouldn't be visible later. His tile work was excellent. He hand laid and cut all the tile expertly. The shower was very impressive in the way he troweled out the slopes of everything so the water flowed precisely were it need to go. He had a strong knowledge of functionality and aesthetic. Andre tested all the seals with pressure over time and even discovered some defects in the manufactured products we had purchased. He worked with the supplier to get the parts exchanged and installed and retested them. We kept a dialog going through out the process. He asked our opinions when it came to stylistic things. He also had some very strong opinions. There were certain times when he highly recommended going a certain way that we disagreed with. Most of these times we acquiesced and were glad that we did. A couple of things we insisted upon and now wished we went with Andre's suggestion. On a personal note, we gave Andre a key to the house so that he could get in when we were not around. We soon felt very comfortable with this decision. He was especially good with our dogs and treated them and our home with respect. So we very much recommend Andre and will look to him for future kitchen and bathroom work.

Andre is by far the best contractor we have ever hired. He answers his phone HIMSELF! He returns calls promptly and shows up when he promises. From the first contact he was accessible and extremely professional. He came over and gave us an estimate shortly after we spoke. His written estimate arrived shortly after and mirrored what he told us. After we signed and gave him the job, he gave us a time frame for when he could start the work, and he stuck to it. We picked out what we wanted with regard to tile and fixtures and the final cost was based on that, which was very fair. His suggestions were right on target with regard to what we wanted and needed. He arrived exactly when he said he would on the date of starting the project. He was very organized and had the whole bathroom torn out on the first day! By himself! He covered everything in our master bedroom with plastic and was extremely neat and tidy in the house; this has not been the case with other contractors we have used for other home renovation projects. It was so reassuring having the same person doing ALL the work; no subcontractors coming and going; strangers underfoot all day; with Andre he does it all himself. He worked hard every moment he was here on the job; no sitting around wasting any time, etc. He took pictures of problems with plumbing he found in our crawlspace and showed them to us and explained how he could and would fix them. The tile work he did in the shower stall is beautiful! He's very personable and respectful of your home and furnishings. We would hire him again in a heartbeat. Never have we had such a professional, capable and hard working contractor do a job for us in our home. He was meticulously neat; covering the carpets too and running special fans to avoid plaster dust in the air. The best part was he completed the job in a very timely manner as promised and we were able to use the bathroom as soon as it was done. With other contractors we have had to wait for subcontractors for days on end while they finished up or worked on another job at a different location, etc. With Andre, your job is the one he is working on until he is finished. This means a LOT, and a lot less waiting time. The completed master bath is a MASTERPIECE! Excellent work! He's a consummate professional.

Andre' answered every call that we made to him in a timely manner, from our initial inquiry to after the work was completed. This was so important to us. He arrived when he said he would and was meticulous. He cleaned up at the end of every day so that you hardly new he was there. He is extremely efficient and does excellent work. He provided a schedule when he gave us his proposal and stuck with it. He kept us informed of his progress and any problems he encountered along the way. Our home is over 40 years old so there were definitely some structural issues that had to be dealt with. We felt very confident that Andre' was highly skilled and would do a great job, and he did. We are so pleased that we intend to have him return to renovate our hall bathroom in the Spring. We highly recommend Andre' Simone.

Fantastic. If I could give an A++ I would. Far and away the best experience I've ever had with a contractor. He only works on one job at a time and does everything himself, so he's incentivized to keep things on a tight schedule. One might worry that such an incentive would lead to cutting of corners. Absolutely not. In fact, if there's an opposite of cutting corners, Andre does that. He really went the extra mile to ensure that all of the infrastructure behind the walls was sound, adding joists, leveling a heavily-settled subfloor, rewiring, and running new pex pipe to the basement from the second floor for both the shower/sink plumbing and the radiator. He even emailed me pictures of all the wiring and plumbing with notes before closing in the walls and floor, so that if we have to do work later on we know what's running where. He also kept the space and the surrounding rooms immaculately clean throughout the process. He really treated the project as if he were working on his own house and would have to live with the result. He managed third-party contractors very professionally, and got them to remedy their mistakes quickly and without changing the project budget. Andre also has a good eye for design and isn't shy about sharing his opinions on aesthetics and practicality, which are well informed by all of the prior, similar work he has done. Highly, highly recommended. My only reservation in writing this review is that it may contribute to his being even more booked up than he already is, and I would really like to work with him again on our next bathroom project.

Andre Simone was the best choice for completely remodeling our 77 year old main bathroom. I don?t think we could have done any better. His work is outstanding. And best of all, he works on one job at a time so he?s finished in weeks rather than months. The bathroom was completely gutted and dust control was amazing. He used a large window fan and also set up a large air purifier on the landing outside the bathroom and a second one at the bottom of the stairs. He laid down tarps and cleaned up thoroughly every day. He takes a perfectionist approach and has pride in his work and you can tell that he really knows what he?s doing. There were two problem areas that he handled with great skill: replacing some rotted beams in the floor framing; and gaining access to the area between the ceiling and the roof (since we don?t have an attic) to install a vent for the exhaust fan by cutting out a hatch in the ceiling of a closet. He saved us money by advising us not to replace the original solid wood doors and not to install skirting at the bottom of the walls since it would be hard to fit those tiles properly in such an old house. I wonder if someone with less experience would have realized the latter. We were very comfortable with Andre in our house. He has a great sense of humor. You cannot go wrong by hiring Andre. My husband and I give him our highest recommendation.

Andre was excellent in every way from the first contact through the end of the project. The proposal process works well because Andre waits to provide an estimate until you've chosen your materials. When he began our job he worked through until its completion which is great because there is never a need to worry about him juggling multiple jobs like other contractors. Communication was excellent throughout the process and after as we communicated frequently by email and text. At least twice, Andre talked us out of adding scope to the project by providing an alternative or suggesting it wasn't needed. He even came back to fix an issue caused by another contractor after the job was completed! Overall, we couldn't be more satisfied with the work that was done and will contact Andre for additional projects in this home or the next. Highly recommended!

Andre was very knowledgeable, answered questions promptly and arranged for us to look at a recent job he had completed. His estimate roughly matched other contractors'. We asked him numerous questions and he was always professional, personable and pleasant. Ultimately we chose another contractor who had performed work for several of our acquaintances, but I believe we would have had a very professional product with great workmanship as well had we used Andre.

Andre worked with us to design our bathroom and keep the fixture and cabinetry choices within our budget. He worked on our bathroom while we were on a vacation. We were very comfortable entrusting our home with Andre while we were away and he was wonderful to work with; he texted us photos of what he had accomplished each day. Our neighbor who keeps tabs on our house while we are traveling said he was in early each morning and worked steadily throughout the day. He worked over the weekend before we returned in order to "surprise" us with a completed bathroom! Andre's work is excellent and we couldn't be happier (more than one year later) with our beautiful bathroom.

Andre was very professional, responsive and reliable throughout the whole process. He is direct and candid, and tells you what he thinks, which we really appreciated. In both bathrooms he removed a shower/tub and rebuilt showers in the spaces, replaced the vanity, toilet, flooring and lighting. There was unexpected water damage to the floor of the bath on the first floor, specifically extensive damage to a weight bearing beam. He walked me through the problem describing in considerable detail what he would need to do to repair it. The rebuild was extensive. Each day he provided some explanation of what he had done and what the next steps would be. Everything looks to have been done in a way that has made the flooring and plumbing stronger than the initial build. He even corrected a few other things that would not have been discovered except for the need to repair the water damage. The whole job was done with minimal disruption and dust to the rest of the house. He works extremely efficiently and neatly. We're very happy with the way everything has turned out and are enjoying the new spaces.

Andre's work, professionalism, job site cleanliness are 2nd to none. Each day he left the job site in a very clean manner. The workmanship, finish and attention to detail were impressive. We are extremely happy with the granite and the overall project. Thanks Andre!
