The store was dishonest, I ended up ordering the same exact order for $4000 from an online vendor. I would have liked to support local business, so I would have been willing to pay for a slight markup if it were honestly presented to me.

The owners of the shop were very useful in helping us select the right carpet for our family room. They clearly know their carpet and quickly helped us find a few options that would really work for us. They were very open and honest about the trade-offs of various options, including different brands, types and thicknesses, things we didn't know much about. They steered us towards a medium thickness, which was a cheaper option than what we were considering and helped us save several hundred dollars, which was greatly appreciated! Having not bought carpet in a long time we had a bit of sticker shock of how much it cost, but their helping guide us to the more economical option helped soften the blow. Ordering was a snap, and we were then able to schedule installation as soon as the carpet arrived (had to be shipped from the west coast). The installers were within ~20 minutes of their appointment window (something I'm not going to complain about seeing they were coming from Wayne down to Center City and we all know how bad the Schuylkill Expressway can be). The two installers were very professional and efficient, expertly moving our furniture into the hallway (we had prepared well by emptying shelves and drawers and the two closets' floors, which saved a lot of time on installation day). Installation went off without a hitch, they did a great job with the carpet, cleaned up and cleared all the old carpet and waste from the installation (which can generate a lot of debris, especially carpet strands and pieces of padding). The carpet looks great and is such an improvement over the old stuff we had. The first thing the kids did was lay down and make and quot;carpet angelsand quot; (like snow angels) in the soft new carpet. They love it! We'll definitely use 7 West again when we next need carpeting.

I was very satisfied with both their expertise in directing me towards a suitable carpet for my particular application as well as with the installation. Quick turnaround time and easy to schedule installation.
