Mr. Bernett, has shot straight with me and was very helpful in showing me the previous contractors errors and took the time to explain to me each situation; what was done incorrectly; what he would have to do to fix the errors, and explained each step. He has stayed in close contact with me.He has worked in a very timely manner, he has shown nothing but professionalism and honesty. His work is above the call of duty to be described as nothing short of excellent. He has taken the time to give me ideas that will both save me money and has worked with me knowing the situation I have found myself in with the previous 2 contractors that I went thru. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND Tri-State Restoration for any clean up work, any bldg or addition work that one would want added to their home. His work ethic is off the charts of excellence and professionalism. I would say to any one looking to add on, fix,or create that Scott Bernett is your guy. He has been in the business for many years. I am a widow, and attacking this project with a high level of vulnerabily when seeking out a contractor. I have learned the hard way what people are willing to do to take advantage of my situation. I was taken advantage of X2. Mr..Bernett could has easily came in and done the same, He did not do that, instead he constantly was showing me the #'s the cost, the materials, where and why it is being used, I could go on and on. At the end of the day, I would strongly recommend him and his company. They are efficient. effective, they care about their client, and they show it. If I had any questions, instead of him giving me a quck answer and creating a distraction, he sat down with me and explained whatever my questions or concerns were step by step, and he did not waiver until he knew that I understood the process. The condo above me had their hot water tank burst and it flooded my home. I had water dripping from the bathroom exhaust fan when I awoke that morning, my bathroom received the most damage with large ceiling stains which expanded out to the hall, and bathroom walls that blistered when water got under the paint. The carpet flooding expanded to all rooms except my kitchen. I called several restoration companies that AM, none of which would come out that day. Tri-State was the only one willing to start the drying out process that day and the owner Scott Bernett arrived after his normal workday to install several large fans in the most severe areas which relieved my anxiety greatly. Scott arrived for three days to rotate the fans until the carpet was completely dry. After the condo association insurance approved the repairs needed, I was tasked with choosing my replacement carpet as a first step to restoration. Due to personal reasons(I am now disabled), there was a very significant delay in my ability to follow through with any more work. When my situation improved, I contacted Tri-State and spoke with office manager Deborah to relaunch the restoration project and even though all that time had passed, once she investigated my claim Tri-State agreed to complete the work. The individual employee Brent was a pleasure to have in my home. He was personable, skilled and very helpful. He even fixed my bifold laundry doors(with Scott's approval) at no charge, something that was unrelated to the insurance claim. Even their choice of carpet vender was helpful, replacing my second bathroom carpet with linoleum at my request and at no extra charge. All in all, I can not recommend this firm enough, my entire experience with all their employees was nothing but positive and I am very pleased with the quality of work performed.
