Johnston Remodeling

They have been out a few times to go over the project. They have always arrived on time. They have been very responsive and have answered all our our questions. We are still in the process of getting estimates. We are still changing the project expectations so we don't have afirm estimate yet.

We have not done the project yet. Their quote came in and it's about the same as the other ones but they offered us a little bit more for money.They didn't give me a presentation other than they talk to us about it and they wrote up a contract with all the details in it but they didn't give me anything picturized.

We have used him several times. He does decks, additions, and basement and so on. The quality of his work is good, and the pricing is good too. He did a deck for my son, we built a deck and he did a good job. He is very conscientious; the over all job was good, nothing specific. He gave me an estimate, and he did what the estimate said, and he kept it priced within the estimate. He got the job done, and did it quick.

The J. Johnston Kitchen contracted job was unprofessional. The work was incomplete and sloppy, wiring unfaced and not up to code, dry-walling was bulged and saggy, plumbing was not done, tile laid unevenly, paint was done haphazordly and sloppy, cabinets were mis-measured and not hung. Items purchased were not delivered and also some items previously purchased by me were taken. All elements of the job had to be completed or completely redone by subcontractors at additional cost to the owner.
