Bossong Plumbing

Service was great, but was not thrilled with the structure of the bill; not complaining about amount (which I have no idea if it is fair or not), but how the work was broken down. The bill had two lines Diagnose a problem $84.00 it took literally a few seconds to describe the problem, but I understand this is basically something that would get added to every single job for this professional.. Fill valve and flapper $226.00 When I asked about the above was told that it also included installation. So my question is basically why not break that into two lines so it is clear to see what one is paying for?

I want to thank Mr. Bossong from Bossong Plumbing, LLC for his prompt attention to our plumbing needs. Mr. Bossong was right on time for our scheduled appointment. Our well pressure tank was flooded and well overdue to be replaced. With in a few hours we were back up and running and his installation work was clean and outstanding. Their prices are great and the workmanship is what one would expect from a licensed plumber. I will hire him in the future with any plumbing needs.

Bossong is my go-to plumbing folks for the area. They came out recently to fix a clog that was backing up my bathroom sink, and it was for a tenant so it was somewhat urgent, and Joe was quick and efficient. They have also replaced old plumbing in my basement, and fixed other small leaks. They are always responsive and polite.

Bossong Plumbing was very responsive, quick to schedule and they were flexible when bad weather prevented our initial service date from happening. They made sure to reschedule quickly. They didn't find major issues of concern, which was a relief, though they did have some helpful recommendations. I felt they were very upfront about the urgency, or lack thereof, and they didn't try to up-sell services, which is always reassuring!

Timely - able to come the same day as call to request service...a handful of other plumbers in the area could not arrive until next week. Knowledgeable - having prior experience with our scenario, the tech/plumber was able to provide the right solution for the issue and be on his way in 30 minutes. Rate was reasonable for services and supplies used. If we have no recurring issues with the solution going forward, Bossong just earned a loyal customer.

I would not hire this plumber again. Told me he repaired plumbing in a house I own in Pittsburgh. I drove three hours from Columbus OH, based on what he told me, expected the plumbing to be repaired.. The plumbing was not repaired. Overcharged me, then threatened to sue me for $260.

Joe did two jobs, relocate my water heater from outside to inside the house and install a new kitchen sink. In addition, he converted my water heater from a standard tank (gas) type to a gas tankless model. The new heater delivers plenty of hot water as expected and, based on past estimates I have had, is within the expected price range. He and his technicians arrived promptly and worked steadily through to completion so I only had the water shut off for a few hours. Initially the water pressure was too low but Joe adjusted the pressure so now it is as before with plenty of hot water at full flow. The relocation solved a big problem of mine, as the old water heater was over 20 years old and located in a closet adjacent to and outside the house. The water heater was next to an outside furnace in the same closet. This works fine as long as the furnace, itself past its prime, is still working, but a furnace breakdown could have disastrous consequences for the water heater and the adjacent wall and structure. Relocating it was a major job, including rerouting supply pipes through a ceiling, which Joe accomplished with dispatch and on budget. I am getting plenty of water at all the hot water outlets (I tested them all) and don't have to be concerned about running out of hot water for my Jacuzzi type (Novi brand name) bathtub. Regarding the kitchen sink my old sink was 6 inches deep, not deep enough for my use, so Joe replaced it with a 9 inch deep sink, including repairing and replacing supply and drain lines, aged and some leaking, and converting 3 supply valves (hot, cold and dishwasher) from the twist to the on/off type. Everything works as expected. There was one issue; my dishwasher gave me an error message when I went to use it. The diagnostic code said there was no water coming to the dishwasher. The valve had been left in the closed position so I opened it. It isn't any big deal, just a small oversight but something to note for Joe's future use. In addition, the exhaust pipe, unlike the adjacent furnace exhaust, does not have cement around the opening. I didn't notice it until later and it doesn't interfere with anything so I'm assuming it was an oversight. I am well satisfied and will use Joe when I have future plumbing needs.

Joe responded to our call within 24 hours to diagnose the original problem with the hot water heater tank. When it was determined that we needed a new tank he thoroughly explained the benefits and drawbacks of both systems which led us to select the tankless water heater. Joe then arranged his schedule to install it the next day. He and his team took every step to insure cleanliness and an extremely neat installation. Joe answered all questions during the installation and completely explained the operation of the new system. After using the tankless heater for two weeks he promptly answered some additional questions by phone and offered suggestions for optimal use. Joe's rapid response, thorough explanation, professional installation, reasonable pricing and complete answers to followup questions makes him our go-to plumber for the future.

My son bought a small fixer upper house and as my housewarming gift to him, I hired Bossong Plumbing to fix the many re-pipeing, water leaking, and fixture replacements that needed done there. Mr. Bossong answers his phone, shows up when he says he will, and does the work promptly. Cleans up and is professional. He gave us good advice and suggestions about the issues that came with the house. He fixed all the plumbing problems and now the house is good to move into. Thanks Mr. Bossong!

Really well. Joe responded within hours, and we were able to set up an appointment for him to come evaluate the inspector's concern. After reviewing the report, visually inspecting the pump, and testing the pressure, Joe reported that it was functioning as designed. He was careful to acknowledge several factors that could have led to the inspector's concern, but he did not recommend any repairs to the pump at this time. I forwarded his report to our realtor, who was able to share it with our buyers and alleviate their concerns.

Job well done Joe called within the week to check how things were they were good Within a month had an issue with one toilet rocking Called several times left messages no response frustrated then health issues occurred and did not followup A little disappointed

They came, they saw, they conquered. On time (even early), all work done within several hours, completely cleaned up. Toilet was 62 years old with very heavily corroded flange, which they repaired without having to cut out and install new one. Great job.

Never happened. Deal expired, called plumber several times and also Angie's List to get money back. Plumber didn't respond and Angie's List said they would contact him, that was over 6 months ago. Angie's List was a lot better when everyone paid. I was a $79 / yr subscriber and things used to go well. Somehow I ended up with a 'free' service, and it is a complete joke.

Arrived when he said he would, did what he said he would do politely, conscientiously, efficiently, effectively and cleanly. This made it so easy for us and our emotions. Very impressive!

They came over the same day I spoke to them and completed work on the same day even though they had to get an extra heavy duty snake due to the clog in my sewer being so bad. Very polite and courteous. Explained everything to me that needed done before and after the work was completed. Also cleaned up my floors in basement with bleach cleaner where sewer debris had made a mess. I would definitely use Bossong Plumbing again.

I absolutely recommend Bossong Plumbing. Joe helped with a kitchen sink install and a new gas line for our stove. Joe was easy to work with, on time, friendly and did great work. It's great when you can find good people and reliable companies like this. Don't hesitate to call him.

The toilets Joe's team put in are awesome!! And he chose terrific shower heads too, I complained that our current ones were so loud that our kids didn't want to shower in their bathroom. The ones they installed are so quiet and our kids now love using their bathroom!! Joe's team was quick and did a fantastic job, they had a lot to do and they did it all in just a few hours! They even arrived a half hour early, which worked well for us. Joe had converted our sink months ago when we had new counter tops put in our kitchen so we already knew that he was a reasonable guy who doesn't want to charge for unnecessary work (we called around and other plumbers wanted to do all sorts of over the top things). His work holds up without any problems and we're happy to recommend him to friends and fill out this survey. It is such a relief to have a plumber we can count on!!

Great service very punctual only took about one hour. They even took their shoes off.

Everything was great! The first project turned out great. I can't thank him enough for the emergency project. He was very responsive and completed the job better than it had been!

Joe was prompt, didn't hard sell, answered all my questions and then delivered an outstanding service, priced below all the other Contractors' bids (some of which are on the suggested list). Bossong plumbing is the right choice for any job you may have. Will re-hire if anything comes up.
