We had THEE WORST experience with Baker's Waterproofing. Ultimately, the work is finished and looks good. There is, for now, not water seeping into my basement, although it really hasn't rained since they completed the job. The entire process was a disaster. To name a few things that we were not impressed with: It was supposed to be a 3 day job. That turned into an 8 day job, with a total of 11 days of us not being able to use the basement or do laundry. The first 3 days the crew was there, consisted of 1/2 hour breaks every 2 hours with a total of 13 hours at our home. 13 hours of "work" in 3 days = not even one 8 hour work day. During the 2nd week of installation, the first 2 hours of Tuesday consisted of the foreman literally cussing (m.f.ing) about everything, including my basement, the tools he was given, the walls, his job, etc. He was yelling and irate... Yet another day not much of anything got done. This crew also made larger than softball size holes in our walls while trying to hang the thermo dry. When a totally different crew came in a day later to finish hanging the thermo dry, they hung it right over the huge holes instead of fixing the holes, which they said they were going to do, and then hanging the material. Another crew, (that's 3 different crews in total for the job), was sent to finish the job and accidentally drilled a hole into a water pipe and then informed us that WE needed to call an emergency plumber to have it fixed. When we refused and told them that they needed to call their office and get a plumber here, the foreman left and got supplies needed and fixed the water pipe himself. After I called, a week later they sent another 2 man crew to fix a total of 5 huge holes the crews before them just covered over with thermo dry. I guess they thought we wouldn't notice??? We were left with a very disgusting basement. Not only did they not even take a broom to the floors, we could see that they were spitting chew spit on our floor. They left a large portion of our yard where they installed the drain, piled up shin high with dirt. Our salesman Justin said he would talk to the owner and get us a discount. We got a $300 discount that he said he "had to beat it out of him." Needless to say, we do not recommend Baker's Waterproofing. We feel from the other estimates we had, we could have gotten the work done cheaper whether with or without the same issues we experienced.
