Mr. Mallozzi paved over an existing drainage system along the driveway. Most of the driveway was just paved over without taking up the old surface. He did this to my 92 yo parents who had had the driveway paved twice over the years and never dreamed that anyone would do it this way. In the past, the old surface was removed and the curb and drainage systems remained in tact. He was argumentative when questioned.

dave mallozzi wrote in his estimate that he would install a concrete driveway with 6 inches of crushed stone, 6 inches of concrete,and install a wire mesh in the concrete. i hired him to do the job. he did the job in one day when i was not home and without a written contract. the broom finish was sloppy and a section of concrete even presents a tripping hazard. he left my garage walls damaged by his equipment. he threatened to "burn down my house" if i did not pay him what he wanted. i later found out through a core sample that he did not give me any crushed stone or wire mesh. there was also less than 6 inches of concrete. I refused to pay him any more money,i had already gave him 2000.00. he then took me to court for another 3300.00. i was ordered to pay him another 750.00. after the hearing he waited outside and then threatened me again that he was going to get me. he also tried to start a fight with my friend by asking him "who are you looking at" .Since the driveway has been installed on 11/10/2009 a section has already heaved in the cold and damaged the siding on my garage. there are cracks in some places and the felt strips are sticking out above the concrete. he is an expert salesman who is experienced at taking your money . please do not use him as your contractor. the job was completed when it was dark and it shows it. dave mallozzi stated that my drainpipes were to be schedule 40. this was also untrue because i later found from other contractors that it is only thin pvc drainpipe.
