My install was started in October of 2013 & as of today I did do not have a fully functional alarm system. They have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE & yesterday informed me that they were not going to fix my alarm system the right way by hard wiring my front door camera, They plan on jury rigging things so they do not have to send someone in my attic to run the hardwire to the front door camera since it would be too hot & not safe for someone to do that at this time of the year. Needless to say I informed them if they had done it right in October, it would not have been this hot! This has been the worse customer experience I have ever experienced in my life! Alarm.com should be embarrassed that they list them as one of their suppliers!

This project took forever to finish. Ordered this last summer,waited forever for the parts. Came out in December to install. This was for a thermostat and wireless key pad. They installed the thermostat with no problem. The keyless pad, was another story. Installer said they ordered the wrong pad. You would think, since we have been a customer for over 12 years, they would know what system we have. Made an appt. in March. Time was anywhere from 11 until 2, pulled in the driveway at 2, sat for 10 minutes on the phone, in van. My husband finally went out to ask what the problem was. Installer, said he was trying to find out why he was here. My husband told him, do we need to reschedule this. Installer agreed and left. We call guardian to complain, and they set up another date. This time again from 11-2 time frame. Arrived 2:30, didn't know how to install. 2 hours later, finally we gave a new wireless key pad. Company service is great, we have no complaint there. It's on the service calls. Terrible!

The problem was they offered me a 3 year term contract for the wireless system which we agreed on however, the offer they emailed me was a 5 year agreement. When I called they said, "oh we know it's only 3 years but we have this form we can't change." After several communications with them telling me I needed to sign and me telling them I would not sign a 5 year agreement when we had a verbal agreement for 3 years, I changed providers and went with a different service.
Description of Work: I had a Guardian system and was having problems with my home telephone lines so Guardian suggested a wireless system which I agreed to have installed.

Had a previous issue with Guardian that they said was being rectified (see previous review). They had been receiving faults/alarms on one sensor repeatedly for weeks according to customer service. They did not notify me of this issue, didn't call to find the source of the issue. I had no idea that there was a problem with the sensor as nothing showed on my panel. Finally, it caused an alarm; Guardian sent out the police dept. The police dept fines for false alarms. Since Guardian did not notify me of the issue (which could have been dealt with prior to the false alarm), the customer service rep advised they would waive the $25 service fee. I am now getting calls from Guardian saying my $25 copay (from December's service call) is overdue. The rep repeatedly told me this was a "valid charge" and that I was notified prior to service. I was notified that the fee would be waived due to their negligence. I told the rep to review the account records and see which supervisor called to rectify the issue with their service tech not honoring the service agreement regarding my keyfob (the source of the problem signals). And, to see which customer service rep I spoke to regarding the service fee bing waived as it was from December 2013 and I did not remember her name. He just kept repeating that "this is a valid charge and it is overdue". I refuse to pay a $25 fee when their negligence cost me a fine from my local police dept. If the sensor is malfunctioning, I deserve some sort of call so I know to correct the issue
