Ater we moved in, we tested the alarm and Guardian did not contact us. They had the wrong information in their system. after many tries we were finally able to get them to correct the information. Now IZ have the paper bill mailed to my house and Guardian will not mail it. They told me something is wrong at the post office. All my other mail makes it to my house but Guardians. I have tried several times and they insist the information in their systems are correct. They canot mail me my bill until it is late a few months. This is a terrible company and I will drop them once my contract is up.

Gino is the bomb~~!! This representative was professional and so helpful in presenting the monitoring system prior to the setup. He explained in detail how the system would work, answered ALL of my questions, and had such patience even though he had another appointment to go to. Then James came to the house to install the system and he was also patient, professional, humorous, kind, and efficient. I am so grateful for the service and feel safer since the installation. The $99.00 was for the setup (I believe) and then I will pay $44.95 a month for the monitoring. I think the monthly monitoring fee could be lower and the extras that are available should be free since I am paying the monthly fee. However, everything costs high these days and NOTHING is free. I recommend Guardian above other security companies because I have tried others and my experience with them was not good at all. I do believe Guardian will do a good job.
Description of Work: The representative came out and set up Guardian Protection with 10 sensors, motion, etc.

We bought the service from the sales man. The sales rep that came out to the house meet with me for like 3.5 hours we went over the placement of the sensors and I told him that I would not be present for the installation. He said not a problem. I thought he was writting down all the information of placement for the sensors. The day of installation 3 out of the 10 components were installed in a place that we did not agree on. I called the sales rep and he said it was my fault for not being there. Since installing the system, all functionality has not been available. I have called the company and they sent out a tech who installed a booster, and still it didn't work. I called the office and it appears I will have to take another day off of work to see if i can get this fixed.

They ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY. We have been with this company since 2005. Called on 7/31/14 to cancel the service (since the equipment was almost 10 years old and we no longer needed the service) and they said that the contract had auto renewed (without notice) for 3 more years, and you would have to pay all the monitoring fees for the remaining months. The customer representative threaten to make our life more miserable by auto renewing it out even further. We asked to speak to a supervisor - the customer service representative replied that they have all the authority. They do not want to work with you at all and their policies are terrible. Anything you want will cost extra money. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! There are many other companies that provide a similar service but have much better customer service and policies.

I spoke with several people in the company that were good at telling me what I could do and what I shouldn't do. The installation went smoothly and was done after only a few hours on one day. I got discounts on being a loyal customer. I like the service and always have. The workmen came when they said they would, even a bit early. The woman I spoke with at the company and the man that did the installation were excellent.
Description of Work: I have been with this company for 12 years. I had some door protectors, smoke detectors, window detectors, etc. Circumstances required me to get a second control panel and a total of 3 more detectors, a door detector and 2 window detectors.

1) I recently purchased a new home where the previous owners already had a Guardian system installed. Since I did not want to take on additional equipment costs, I contacted Guardian to see if it was possible to re-activate the system/service. They took no time at all in sending over paperwork to get me signed up. Little did I know that it was the ONLY prompt service I would ever receive. 2) On completing their paperwork, they scheduled a technician to come out and re-activate my system. Like all service providers, I was given a two hour window of time for when they would arrive. I specifically requested that they call me on my cell phone (which I sent in an email and communicated verbally) a half hour before the techs arrive so I can be sure to be at home. Their response "No problem!. 3) On the day of, I waited for about 3 hours and then contacted them. First of all, I was on hold forever to get to my so-called "Account Manager". This is the person who had been ultra prompt till I signed up. I gave up and contacted the general 800 number to get to Customer Service in the hope that I would be re-directed to Account Management. The person I spoke to there was rude. 4) After much explaining and being passed around from rep to rep, I was transferred to someone in Account Management. On repeating the entire situation for the nth time, the response I got was "we contacted you, it is not our fault." I went back and forth several times and finally gave up. Shortly after I received an email from the original Account Manager that they had entered my phone number wrong in their system (!!) and they were sorry. On asking if they can re-schedule, I was given a date two weeks from the original date. I told them this was unacceptable to me and since it was a mess up on their part, they needed to fix it. I am STILL WAITING ON A RESPONSE FROM THEM. I just contacted them for what is probably the 6th or 7th time to be told that no-one was available to speak to me at the moment. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
Description of Work: My experience with Guardian's customer service and account management department leave much to be desired. In less kind words - THEY ARE TERRIBLE. They only care about signing up customers, not serving them.

The entire process went very smoothly. Our sales contact visited our home and recommended a security system that was effective, but reasonably priced. He took the time to answer all our questions. The installer arrived on time and reviewed our requirements before doing the installation. Hecompletely cleaned up after the installation. Then he thoroughly reviewed operation of the security system with us.

While I was pleased to use their services for the past 13 years, I found a more affordable option. I always made my monthly payments on time and even referred my mom to them. However, after I found the more affordable option I called to cancel services. Turns out even though I haven't signed anything since 2001, they enjoy renewing my services for three years at a pop every third March. I've never been told this and it just happens. Steve, the sales guy that would not let me cancel enjoyed laughing at me when he explained the pickle I was in! He also offered to let me prepay my remaining 3 years at $661, h*** of a guy. It was unreal. They know they got you and they also know you can never leave. It's Hotel California. Please stay away.
Description of Work: Provide alarm services for 13 years. Did what I wanted and I was pleased to utilize them for the time I spent with them.
