 + -1 moreI have had a bad customer service experience with them as described above. Furthermore, I have had numerous false alarms with them where the motion detector goes off and no one is in the house, etc. I have not been pleased at all.
Description of Work: I have been a customer with Guardian since 2001. In 2011, we hit hard times and had to relocate to a new state for a new job. We wanted to keep a security system since we were new to the area and not sure about safety. Apparently, when I signed the relocation agreement (which I thought was approval for them to activate the equipment that already existed in the new home), I was signing a new 36-month contract. We are now trying to cut back on our budget a bit and wanted to cancel our service with them, only to find out that we were in a binding agreement for the next 25 months. The early termination fee is also unreasonable...it is equal to the remainder of the contract. Most early termination fees are equal to a portion of the remaining contract, since the services would no longer be provided. After 10 years of being a loyal customer and paying them what amounts to over $3,000, I am shocked that they wouldn't do anything to work with me, put me on a cheaper monthly payment or something like that. Heck, BANKS are better than this! I just think people need to know that Guardian Protection Services had no empathy for my personal situation, even after they heard my story and understood that I needed to get out of this contract for budgetary reasons. At times like this, when people are struggling, I have lost respect for this company who had no concern for the little guy.

 + -1 moreI got their name through Angie's List. I am pleased with their responsiveness and followup. I had some issues with their contacts but they sent someone out to fix that. They may cost a little more but you get some quality service from them.
Description of Work: I accidentally set off the alarm and they called me up on the intercom to make sure everything is alright.

 + -1 moreI am satisfied with the service of Guardian Protection Services and they are very responsive. I can call them and they can check the alarms from remote connection. I had some windows put in and a door. They came to redo the connection and they are good about such things.

 + -1 moreThe system was deactivated but had been put in about 10 years prior. They were very honest about their pricing and their different options. I was pleased with them. I have not had experience with any other security system provider to compare them to.
Description of Work: I used Guardian Protection Services for my alarm system after my father passed away and I was living by myself. I called and they were very good, they came down, modernized everything, and just made it a very easy transaction. They looked around the house and gave me what I felt was the best security options for my money.

Because when I walk by and set off the alarms which I do, they always call and they are very very nice. They do not get upset with me if it is a false alarm or anything like that.  + -1 moreVery smoothly. The sales person Steve was responsive, the work was scheduled wjhen I wanted it, the installer showed up on time and copleted the work efficiently.
Description of Work: I had ADT previously and their costs kept rising, as did the cost of the phone line. Guardian provided a new control panel, board, additional window sensors, a CO sensor, and an airlink (cellular technology so Icould eliminate the phone). Steve the sales person was very good, as was the installer. Net, I am saving more than $200 / year while having added protection.

They deducted the money for the battery from the total we paid them. We pay them in three months. They sent us the battery through US Mail. We haven't had any problem with the service. They are very good. We like them. We have been with them for so long that our customer service number is 3-digit. They would send a representative if there was something that needed to be dealt with.
