They initially responded that the local office would contact me. No one ever followed up. I would avoid such national companies and will prefer to work with a smaller local business.

They took longer to come out and do the job than what I would have liked. But to be honest weather did complicate the schedule. Once they came out, everything went great. It took 2 days but the spruce was near power lines and the ash was near the house. The crew was great and knew everything about the job. I would hire them again!

I've never had any problems with them. Their prices are high. I really like him, but he's too high. I feel badly, but if he's coming out to give us some advice it's fine. He's just way high. Something is wrong with their pricing I think.

We have 23 rosebushes, evergreens and other bushes. We probably have a hundred trees and they are excellent. They are treating our ash trees too. We would highly recommend this company.

called the number and pressed one to make an appointment but a recording came on saying sorry but this number did not answer I tried 3 times. You may want to get this fixed you are going to lose business like mine.

I kind of liked the guy who was there and I think his name was Mark, but then they seemed to change and they seemed to get a new guy and he comes out and estimates the job and what it's going to cost. Even though he signed the contract they never came back to do any work, so there are many tree companies around and I've found two of them that would never do that. I was kind of shocked by that because Davey had done a lot of work for me and I liked him and at the time I didn't have any reason not to but the fella when he took over apparently something didn't set right with him or something. He never discussed it with me and he never showed up, so obviously I'm happy with the two I got now.

They are pretty good. I have been using the for several years because of the good value and good service.

Mike with Davey was quick and responsive for our services we contracted with them this Spring and Summer. Services included gypsy moth spray treatment in our trees as well as tree trimming around property. His team was professional and cleaned up after their work. Prices were a bit higher than some other estimates. We will also use them in the fall for some tree and shrub health treatments. Mike is very responsive and professional.

They're fabulous. I've been using them for 25 years. They're honorable. They're fair. They're conscientious. They show up. Their people are excellent. They're very professional and helpful.

They are very reliable and dependable. They have been in business for about a hundred years. Mark Mercaldo is the head guy there. What I like about them is that if somebody is planning to do landscaping or do something with trees, they can plant trees. He did a good job for me. He will come over and discuss what you want. The service is always good and they always want to know how everything is. Whomever they send, the people are very courteous. They don't gouge you, but of course I haven't compared. A cousin of mine who knows landscaping recommended them to me and I found them good. My pear tree is beautiful. They are just good. Mark is the manager I think. He is very knowledgeable and he knows his stuff.

The representative described the services that would be provided and the related charges. All trees and shrubs and the lawn would be treated and fertilized for the season. After two months of service, I noticed that my lawn was turning brown and there was evidence of Grubs in the lawn and insect infestation on the trees and bushes. The service manager was not concerned and said that after the Summer months, the landscape would show improvement. After follow up visits, the situation became worse. In 20 years of owning this property and using several landscape companies, my property never looked this terrible. I had to have my landscaper completely reseed many areas of the lawn and all the shrubs and trees lost their leaves due to insects. The cost of reseeding was over $700 and I refused to pay any remaining invoices from Davey, and I advised them of my decision and canceled any further services. The service agent called himself a “certified arborist” but seemed to have no knowledge of what was happening to my property or how to correct the problems. A very disappointing experience.

No show, no call, no follow-up after promising service.

I'm not paying the bill because they didn't complete the job. The bill is supposed to be settled by August 13, 2014 but I'm not going to pay it if they don't finish the job. When I got the bill, I called up their customer service. She was very nice and said that she was going to talk to a guy named Jason Parker and call or email me back to let me know when they will come out to finish the job. I haven't heard from them since. The tree was down and all they had to do was cut it up. They kept the chips to themselves, which they will turn into mulch. I think the price was moderate. They came out when they said they were coming out, unless it was going to rain. They also do lawn treatment and I tried them out this year. I've been very pleased with the lawn service.

The Arborist, Brandon, reviewed and recommended what was to work best. He wrote up the proposal and we reviewed it completely. We actually contacted another well-known tree service and received their estimate after Davey's. The two estimates were almost the same, but we felt Davey was more professional and well-prepared, and we were right. We worked out the details and pricing with Davey to everyone's satisfaction. The crew from Davey arrived on time and spent quite a few hours making sure all was done as was expected, not rushing to finish at all. The cleanup was terrfic and the end-result was just what we wanted. Finally (after a few weeks) we were contacted about the stump grinding and that too was done with professionalism. We absolutely recommend them for any such work.

Really great experience with Davey's. Had to large trees taken down, numerous stumps trimmed and a ton of brush and debris removed from the front of our home. Great price, great work and very friendly and cooperative. Will definitely be calling Davey's back for our next set of outdoor projects!
