 + 0 morehis written summary was "3 fireplaces still need to be relined and smoke chambers."..."burn at your own risk." he spent one hour to look at and clean 3 chimneys and one stove, and then charged us $600. none of this made sense to us because we do maintain the chimneys. we chose to bring in another company to provide a second opinion. we got this second company from a friend who vouched for them. this second company said all theree chimnetys were fine, and that we were in no danger. it is my opinion that THE CHIMNEY MAN" saw we live well, and in a large home, and thought he could scare us into a big job. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!
Description of Work: we get our chimneys cleaned and inspected annually. this company came this year, and told us that three of our chimneys had major problems and that we needed a major job done to fix the chimneys. we were told that we were in danger of the house burning down if we made a fire. it didn't make sense that in one year, we would have three chimneys all of a sudden become non functional...and we annually maintained the chimneys. we were also charged $600 for this, which in my opinion is a lot of money to look at a total of three chimneys and one wood stove.

Description of Work: They cleaned 4 fireplaces in less than an hour --- including three that we never use and have cleaned every year for 15 years --- then they told us that ALL our fireplaces were in -use at your own risk condition. No one has ever told us that in 15 years --- they were pushing wood pellet stoves. | |They were also very arrogant about their credibility and work. | |We will have a second opinion done as we just did not have great trust in them.

 + 0 moreKen was subcontracted by a local wood stove shop to come out and adjust/repair leaky doors on our new wood stove. He was professional, punctual, courteous, and really took the time needed to do the job right. He lit our stove, checked to ensure that the air leak was gone, and offered some tips for burning. We are happy with his work, and will most certainly call him in the future if the need arises.
Description of Work: Wood stove door hinge adjustment.

 + -1 moreExcellent! Ken was recommended by my realtor. I called him to give me an estimate for replacing or repairing the chimney top and he took care of it right then and there. While he was working, I was attempting to install a couple exterior light fixtures. He installed both of them for me at no charge. He's also a handyman. Now, I have him doing handyman stuff for me.
Description of Work: Cleaned chimney chast top from rust. Painted chast top.

 + 0 moreKEN WAS ON-TIME AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. HE EXPLAINED THE WORKINGS OF OUR STOVE AND HAS BEEN ASSISTING US WITH A MANUFACTURING PROBLEM.
