They were excellent! Elissa Thompson was outstanding & although she was only the designer/sales person, she was helpful throughout the process. I changed my mind about which marble to use mid-process & then back again & she & they were great throughout. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

When there afren't issues everyone will give 5 stars. What separates the good from bad is how a company responds to problems. Suburban is a failure.

The whole experience was Dickensian: "the best of times...the worst of times." Our salesperson, Ali Strauss, started the experience strong and was a definite highlight. She is very professional and responsive and has a really great eye for design. We absolutely love both the color of the granite and the limestone tiles that she recommended for our kitchen. We also appreciated the courtesy and professionalism of the installers. Other than that, we had our challenges and, in the end, didn't get what we wanted. Some of the challenges were minor nuisances that would normally be overlooked. For instance, the first time someone was scheduled to come out to the house to template, he showed up hours early (I hadn't showered and was on a client call that I had scheduled around the appointment). Throughout the process, we got conflicting information about what could be done, when and how. And, in the course of the templating process, one of Suburban's professionals highly recommended that we go with a different edge than originally specified with Ali. He made a strong case and we were persuaded that it was definitely the right move. We requested the change (though weren't given a chance to sign off on anything official). When the tops showed up two weeks later, the change had not been made. To sum it up: Would YOU be happy if you waited 17 years and dropped almost $5,500 and then had to look at the "wrong" edge every day? The edge is by no means offensive, but it is extremely disappointing. Suburban offered to rip out and replace all of the counters (not an option since we had other contractors lined up and were basically "over" having a disrupted kitchen). Instead, they refunded $400 for the errant edge. Truly, though, money wasn't and isn't the issue. We are willing to pay a premium for a smooth customer experience--including things being done right. With Suburban, we paid that premium but didn't see the expected payback. Despite the positive aspects, we could not in good conscience recommend Suburban to my friends or neighbors. So many people recommended them to us, and we can't help but thinking, "If these guys are the 'best,' what's it like working with the 'worst'?" Here's hoping we never have to find out.

I complained about the counter top several times. It gets dark spots from water. They finally came out and sealed it again. A temporary fix. They said sealing it too much is not good. I have sealed it twice a year and it continues to darken. I am done, we are going to take it out and get quarts, somewhere else. I am very disappointed. A lot of money down they Drain. Their up front service was great. They leveled the cabinets perfectly.

The installation went great. The installers were on time, very neat and clean. Did a great job. But I have a problem with the quality of the granite. Suburban is very expensive but we purchased from them because we expected quality. We paid $100 for a sealer recommended by the sales person. But we still had water spots. They sent a service person out and revealed it. We are still having a problem and have been informed it will take a month for another service call. It is a ten minute job. I would not recommend this vendor.

The first thing the saleswoman did was whip out the calculator and say are you willing to pay $1100, if not, we don't have anything for you. She claimed they have no remnants....ever. Well, they are about twice as much as anyone else in the business (surprise, they all have remnants for things like this). Wasted my time. Lots of attitude, little professionalism, even less customer service.

I had been calling around to several places that I found through Angie's list to get basic pricing and understand the installation process. The person who I spoke to on the phone was very friendly and provided me with the pricing, but could not provide details around installation. Based on the price I was quoted ($52/sq. ft) for a Level 1 granite, this place was already the most expensive on the list. The added cost of removing the old countertop, also higher than others, did not encourage my decision to go and visit their office. Since I never received a phone call back from the sales rep it was not a huge loss, but I still would have thought they would have been professional enough to return a call. I live very close to this company and, despite a higher cost, it could have been the company I went with.

I was skeptical that anyone could repair the crack in my counter. Suburban Marble and Granite did an amazing job. They covered all the cabinets and floor to insure they stayed clean. The job took longer than expected. However, Suburban Marble and Granite did not rush the job. They not only repaired the crack, but they cleaned everything. Highly recommend this company.

Have yet to receive the quote I've requested 3 times now!

They were very professional and punctual. The quality of service was good - excellent, actually. However, their prices were a little high.

We visited their show room and selected several colors. They sent us estimates for each of colors in 2 days. We went back to review the ones in our price range and then to select the tile for the backsplash. They were great to work with They came out to template and to give an estimate on the backsplash. Installation of both counter and backsplash went very smoothly. Very happy with work. If we need another large granite or marble counter or vanity, we will definitely check here first.

Everything ran like clockwork. It was completed when they said it would be, and every appointment-templating and instalation was done as scheduled.

Great experience. The crew was pleasant and so careful with my home- used a tarp so as not to get granite dust everywhere. They cleaned up when done and even slid the range in for me. I would highly recommend this company.

We made our choices in August but the contractor wasn't ready to have them installed until January. They had a great selection in the showroom. You could pick the acutal slap rather than just a tiny piece of stone. They held our selections for us. When it was time for the template I went to make sure the cuts were where I wanted them to be. The iland took one whole slab, and they cut it opposite of the way I wanted but it is still beautiful. The bathroom piece is amazing and perfect. The installers really took pride in their work

They are on Angie's List. I didn't dislike anything. They did a good job. They were in and out and I had no problems with them at all. The place was set up very well and everything went very smoothly with them. Their customer service was perfect. They got back to me whenever I called. There was somebody there to get back. They did a really good job. Their price was fair because I went and checked everybody else too.

The experience was fine. They were very professional. I didn't get a super quick response, but they were responsive which is more than what some companies do.

Great sales help. She was very tolerate of our months of indecision. The installation went smooth and was performed on time and in a professional manner. We were very pleased with our experience.

It went great. I was very happy. They have been great. They were very easy to work with. They weren't pushy at all. They were very knowledgeable. The workers were very nice. They were punctual. They weren't the cheapest, but they weren't the most expensive either. They were super busy so it took a little longer than I had expected.

They finished the work about a week ago. My experience with them was very good. They took some time and we figured out what we wanted to do. They worked with us and I am very pleased with the outcome. There was some chipping when they put the mantle in. I would use them again in the future.

Suburban Marble made changes and refinements we requested, for example larger radii on two corners of the island, making the window sill thinner to aid opening the window, and increasing a bevel on either side of the desk to provide additional clearance for the adjacent cabinet doors. A few days after installation we contacted Suburban about some small imperfections, and they immediately sent out their Quality Control expert who corrected the imperfections. Suburban’s Sue Brady was very helpful in guiding our selection of granite and she was easy to work with. We also considered two other granite fabricators, and found Suburban to be far superior to them.

We are still waiting for the bathroom remodel, but our tile has been ordered and there has been no problems so far

They were very good on the sales floor. They gave me a good estimate and I would have enjoyed working with them. I really thought about using them. I think they give you a free sink up to a certain level. She showed me everything that I could possibly be interested in and she explained everything about the edges of the counters. She explained the possibilities for the backsplash. She was very thorough. I was there on a Saturday and it was good to see that they were open on Saturdays. It's a big place. I decided not to do the work. I am going to use them when I decide to do the work.

They were very honest and reliable. They guaranteed their work.

I found out when I arrived that they only show the granite by appointment. It was a weekday and they weren't busy so they found a sales person to help me out. She showed me the slabs, helped me choose a few colors, made copies of my kitchen design drawings and told me she would get back to me with an estimate. I waited more than a week for an estimate. I called several times and left messages. The estimate priced well, but the lack of communication led me not to do business with this company.
