He does a very good job and he knows what he is doing. He takes pride in his work and we would highly recommend him.

Mark and his crew did a great job. Clean work and very cooperative. Protected my neighbors driveway during the work to remove a large ash. Recommended an arborist he works with to check one Ash tree to try and save it. I've used them in the past with same great results.

Very well, it looks great, and now I won't worry about a large limb on the Silver Maple that was damaged and at risk of failing.

After 3 attempts to have them come, I finally gave up and went to someone else. The owner did contact me on 3/28/2014 and said he would come, but I never heard from him. I sent a final email to him on 4/7/2014 but I never heard back.

First-rate job, marvelous cleanup and chipping/removal of all debris. I'll use them again !

I called them because of their good ratings from Angie's List. When I called him, he assured me that he would be here and that impressed me. They appeared on the day they set up. They have good equipments and their employees were good. They finished the job for one day. I called them back for them to have the stump grind but I haven't heard from them yet.

Mark and his crew from Sharp Cut were great. Mark came out checked out my large Norwood Maple that was splitting right down the middle. He gave me a very fair estimate on how much to cut it down, grind the stump and haul away the grindings. He even ground up some of the surface roots from a previous tree job where the previous tree service failed to grind. During the process of bringing the tree down, one branch hit part of my fence and dented it. Mark replaced that section within a couple of days! There were a few holes left in my lawn from the large branches falling to the ground, but I expected that due to the size of the tree. Overall, very happy with the experience. I grabbed a few of his business cards and plan on giving them to family and friends who need tree work done.

Mark is what my grandfather called "good people." His prices are competitive. His work is quick and efficient. He is knowledgeable as an arborist. His workmen are tidy and consciencious. But most importantly, I called Mark when my husband was out of town--just before Hurricane Sandy came to town-- and explained my plight. I was very concerned that my dead trees would fall on my house. As a newly-minted homeowner of three weeks, I did not know what to expect. Mark adjusted his schedule to fit me in, and he now has a permanent customer! Thanks, Mark--from the bottom of my heart!!!

We had gotten several estimates for removal of trees in a newly purchased home. Mark gave us several options - including testing of the trees to determine if removal was the best option. We went with removal without testing, since testing just added costs, and we were too concerned about the overall condition of the trees. We are completely remodeling a house, and we didn't want to finish and have a 70-yr old oak fall on it. Although the trees were large, the base was stunted due to tree wells created by the previous owner (much too small for the tree). We had gotten several estimates, and Mark was one of the only ones that actually was willing to tackle the trees on a hill in the back of the house. Several tree services didn't want to touch it - needed too much equipment or something. We went with Mark because he is a true arborist. He explained how much shade we would lose due to the tree removal (not much) and gave real opinions on what to do. He showed up on time, and did the work as requested.

Mark, the owner, called me the same day I left a message on a Saturday and came himself to see what needed to be done on Monday. He was very professional and drew an estimate right after his visit. He had been recommended by my next door neighbor to take down a huge tree, like the locust in my property, so I felt confident. On top of that, other members in Angie's list had left also positive evaluations of Sharp Cut. The work was done two weeks later, as he indicated to me. Everything was done the same day in about 5 hours with a crew of 5 or 6 men and two trucks. The stumps were removed the following day, as he had also indicated to me.I am very pleased with the work and I will not hesitate to call him again.

When I phoned Sharp Cut my call was returned in a very short time. Mark, the company owner, came over the same day to give us an estimate. Once we decided we were ready to have the work done Mark scheduled us quickly. On the day of service the crew arrived early and worked through the entire day. All work was completed that day with the exception of the stump grinding which was done the following morning. Upon completion the trees looked wonderful and our property looked as if nothing had taken place. Nothing was left behind. Our yard was immaculate. Everyone on the crew was polite and very professional. I would highly recommend Sharp Cut Tree Service to anyone.

Arrived on time and completed the job as was scheduled. Cleaned property as they proceeded and when done the property and neighboring areas were thoroughly cleaned. Completely satisfied with price and for value. They have trimmed our trees in the past and were absolutely outstanding.

They did extraordinary work and it was extremely well done. We had a number of tree people in the past, but his pricing was very reasonable. You could tell by the way he did things that he was very caring and very thoughtful about what he did. I think we've seen far too many number of folks doing trees and fortunately we've been lucky that we've had good people. I think Mark Vallone and his crew were really just good. After they left you couldn't tell that they have been out and their trees looked great. Everything was cleaned up and he did exactly what he said he would do; actually, he went beyond over and beyond. I would have back in a moment because he is good. He did a bunch of work and we have a huge old Maplewood tree that is over 5 feet in diameter now. It's a big old tree definitely needed cleaning up and he made that. He picks up, he doesn't top things and he knows his parts. He did a great job and made the place nice. Even with his age, I don't know what else to say but well done. When I stopped over, I talked to them briefly and walked around. He came out and walked around with me and he was trying to explain his point of view. We went over everything and when I came out, we changed a few things. I changed the work order a little bit because I wanted a few things added which he just did. He was top notch with top chores. I highly recommend them and I think we'll use Mark Vallone and sharp cut, and he has no relation to me. For all the work that he did I think the price was good because I have paid more money for a lot less work. I think considering that they were overwhelmed, I thought he could have been a little more responsive at first but then we had the storm in this area, we got trash and these folks had so much work. He was there when he said he would be; he was on time and everything was there. I would use them without any hesitation what so ever actually it's nice to find a good tree person. I think I would just cut you all the worries just call him up if I had another problem.

Some he has told us are great and one we did have to take down. We have had him out two years in a row. Our neighbor had recommended him to us.
