Description of Work: Mold was covering a large portion of our kitchen ceiling. Initially, we used someone who made a topical treatment of the area but the mold came back. We had PHS do an estimate that first time too. PHS had determined the mold was coming from behind the drywall and that it and the insulation had to be removed, followed by treating the remaining surfaces with mold removal products. When the mold came back we called PHS to come and do what they had recommended. After thoroughly encasing the area with a plastic tent from floor to ceiling, they removed the moldy drywall. There was mold throughout on the back of the removed drywall and insulation. They then made an analysis that the problem was not a leaky roof but rather a ventilation issue. They recommended larger soffit vents be installed to improve air flow throughout the interior roof space. As if on cue there was a downpour before we could re-drywall the area and sure enough there was no leak. I’ll be following their recommendations to the letter as we complete the project.

Description of Work: I called and left a message to see if they serviced my area and, if so, if we could schedule my inspection to be completed. Due to VoiceMail problems, there was a delay in their returning the call and I had already contracted with another company. However, Andy spent a lot of time on the phone with me and was extremely professional and I would not hesitate to contact this company for future work. I left that conversation with a really good feeling about this company.

Description of Work: Ross was very knowledgeable and friendly when he came to our home to give us an estimate. He was not a high pressure salesperson type at all. After getting one other estimate, we decided to forgo a third estimate, since we were that comfortable with Ross. The work performed included French drain expansion to an existing system and repairs. Also, some mold remediation. Finally, our sump pump was replaced and a backup battery and pump was installed. Ross and the other owner were both at our home the day of the work along with a good size crew. They worked efficiently and the job was completed in one day. We are about two months out and so far so good on the work performed! I have to say that I have never reviewed a contractor before, but I felt compelled to share positive feedback about Ross and Paradigm.

Description of Work: The initial consult went well. I told them my issues with my basement walls and was given a detailed account of my options and what it would cost. They answered all of my questions. I agreed with the assessment and we planned a date for the job. The day of went well. The workers were a lively bunch. They made sure the pump was working properly, showed me exactly what was done and cleaned up really well before they left.

Description of Work: In the middle of a basement renovation my contractors discovered an incorrectly installed french drainage system. They stopped work immediately so I could address this. I contacted Paradigm at 7:30 am the next morning and the owner arrived within 3 hours. Ross was able to schedule the work for the next business day and he and the crew had the job completed on time and as explained. I would recommend Paradigm Home Solutions to anyone.

Description of Work: A crew of six (includes the owners) showed up at 8 am, as promised, to start preparing the basement for the work to be done. They moved the washer and dryer away from the wall and put up plastic curtains to contain the dust that was going to be created when they opened up the marginally functional french drains. They also put canvas over the stairs and carpets. After that was done, they broke up the concrete and discovered that the old french drain only had gravel and never had the perforated tube to carry the water to the sump pump. So they removed all of the old rock and put down a new barrier, rocks, drain tube and industrial sump pump. They obtained the necessary permit and handled the township inspectors visit. After the visit, they poured the cement cap over the drain and cleaned up the entire work area. They even took care of a minor plumbing issue at no charge. Other than the fresh concrete there is nothing to indicate that they were there. Everyone was very friendly and they explained what they were doing and why every step of the way.
