The entire experience was excellent! The estimate was accurate and there were no add-ons either in work or in price. The crew arrived exactly on time and introduced themselves, gave a brief run-down of what the process would be, and how long it could be expected to take. Crew were respectful of owner's property. They worked consistently from arrival to completion. The crew gave instructions on how to care for the new driveway and what the owner might experience in terms of tire marks, how to handle winter weather, etc. The work came with a guarantee. The crew were clean, personable, helpful, and respectful of the owner's property. Their tools and trucks and other equipment were well cared for. My brother and I laughed that maybe the trucks were cleaner than parts of our house at that moment. I mention this as an indicator that if a workman respects his tools and things he owns, he is likely to respect yours. Joe Connolly Paving gets a five-star rating from me. It was well earned and is well deserved. I would hire this company again anytime.

The workers arrived early in the morning, removed part of the driveway, prepared the outer parts for a thicker layer and resurfaced the rest. in about a half day, they completed the drive in a professional manor. they were clean and meticulous in all of the area surrounding the drive, gardens, sidewalk, and street in front of our home.

Excellent. Joe provided clear communication. He contacted us and provided an estimate in a timely manner. He completed the work within the time frame he specified, and he and his crew did an outstanding job on the prep work and resurfacing of our driveway. It has never looked so good!!! The job was done in one day and the work could not have been better.

Mr. Connolly returned our call right away and came to our home to give us a written description and price for the work. He gave us an approximate date when he would perform the work. He did not ask for any money down, but said we could pay him when the work was completed. He called a few days prior to starting the job. Joe and his men showed up on the appointed day and got to work. They finished the job in two days as promised. Joe provided a clear explanation of what he was going to do to certain areas to eliminate puddling.He and his men were professional, efficient and courteous. I would recommended Joe Connelly to anyone considering replacing an asphalt driveway. .

I originally contacted this company last Fall to resurface my driveway. I left a message and my phone call was returned that evening. I was provided an estimate at the time, however the owner informed me that the temperatures were getting too low to do it properly and that I would be recontacted in the Spring when the temps were okay to do the installation. True to his word, Joe Connolly did contact me again in the spring and we agreed to a mutually acceptable day to do the job. His crew arrived on time, completed the job in one day and Joe reviewed it with me prior to leaving that day. All in all, a great experience. I most appreciate that the communication was great all the way through the process and he did a quality job.

They were early and very considerate of my neighbors and the time of day. They explained how the day would go and they were perfect. When they left they took all of the trash and left me with absolutely nothing to do but enjoy my new driveway.

Job went great fro start to finish. Joe was prompt when giving the estimate and did the project when he said he would and completed on time. Joe returned phone calls in a timely manner. It was encouraging to see the owner actually working on the job site.

Joe was very professional as was his team that came to do the work. Because of the very positive Angie's List reviews, I did not compare his pricing with anybody else. I did think the price was a little high, but really am not sure. Joe and his team clearly make an effort to make the entire experience, from estimate to completion, very positive. In having many other services done at my home, I know that customer service and attitude are not often priorities for home service companies. Joe clearly gets it and it makes a difference.

My old driveway was in desperate need of being replaced and Joe and his crew did a terrific job. They were professional, punctual, reliable, and respectful, happy to answer questions. They were very careful during excavation and installation to the adjoining property, which included a sidewalk, garage apron, steps, garden ties, stone wall, and neighbor's lawn. We hired Joe Connolly Paving to replace our four car driveway that was 25 years old and in poor shape. Joe and the crew showed up exactly when they said they would and worked quickly, efficiently, and carefully. They put down tarps to protect paved walkways and were careful around our flowerbeds. They had the job done by the early afternoon, cleaned up everything and left us with a beautiful driveway! The edges of our driveway were newly expanded and the work crew made sure that the edges were neatly beveled and fit in perfectly with our existing gardens. We would hire these guys anytime!

We had several estimates for this job. We were pleased with Joe?s estimate. He recommended that we remove a portion of the driveway and resurface the remainder of the driveway. This would allow for improved drainage and be a cost effective solution. We scheduled the work and Joe was able to meet the schedule. He also explained the timing of the work. The crew arrived on time and completed the work as proposed. Joe supervised the crew throughout the process.Joe checked to assure that the drainage for the driveway was correct and everything was cleaned up after completion of the job. I would recommend Joe without hesitation. He was informative in his proposal. He was honest in scheduling of the work. He provided a cost effective solution to our problem. When he first came to the house to give me a quote he explained how he did driveways. On the first trip they dug up my driveway and widened it then put crushed stone down and then packed it. We then drove on it for a couple weeks packing it down further. On the second trip they came back repacked the crushed stone then put the first layer of black top down, steam rolled it then put the top layer down and did the same thing. Both times the crew showed up on time and were extremely friendly. They kept their equipment picked up and clean near the driveway. Everyone including the owner were professional at all times. I would highly recommend them to family friends & neighbors and would have them return anytime.

After comparing the estimates from Joe Connolly and two other paving contractors, we decided to give the job to Joe. Another company that we had contacted for an estimate would not not even bid for the job due to our location on a major highway. However, Joe found a way to get it done. The first part of the driveway involved digging the area for the addition to the existing driveway. The that area was filled with rock and compressed. That completed the first step for the new driveway. We were allowed to drive on the new area as that actually helped to compress the newly added rock. A three week wait followed, giving the rock time to settle. Joe told us he would be back in three weeks to finish the job. Joe called us a couple of days before the three week waiting period was over and told us he would be ready to complete the job in two days. Joe and his crew were at our home two days later as promised. They were on time and started to work.right away. Even the siding near our garage was covered and protected, along with our sidewalk, so that no asphalt could accidentally touch it. After the driveway was completed, we were advised that we would not be able to use it for five days. The crew placed "Caution Tape" at the end of the driveway so that no vehicles would drive on it. After the first rain we noticed that the driveway didn't puddle as it did before. It drains perfectly! Joe and his crew worked all day to get the job done. The crew was very friendly, professional and hard working. The driveway looks amazing and actually makes the entire property look great! I would highly recommend Joe Connolly Paving to any family member or friend.

From the estimate to the final touches Joe and his crew were professional, clean, efficient and informative. Joe explained to us what the process would be like and why everything was the way it was which was quite comforting. I had multiple questions and choices to make throughout this process and Joe was able to explain in detail what needed to be done. When the work started, Joe Connolly who is the owner/operator, said he will always be here on site to make sure everything was perfect, and he did. In just two days , Joe and his crew took out a large eyesore which was our old driveway and replaced it with a new welcoming and inviting one. We are beyond please with the work that was done. When we started this process, we used Angie's list to research who to go with. All of Joe Connolly's comments and reviews were remarkable, and I just want to say we agree with them all. Joe Connally personally lead the two man crew that performed the work. Joe and his people went the extra mile to resolve some conditions that were not apparent when he made his bid. Specifically, the former drive had no stone base under it and the soil was predominately clay. Joe removed a lot of the clay and provided a full stone base using new material. He also addressed a drainage problem adjacent to the driveway so that rainwater would properly drain off my property. Although not part of the contract Joe's people also hand excavated and helped me install a 6'' by 6" pressure treated wood edging on one side of the drive (I supplied and drilled the wood) The final job looks great. I was so satisfied I even tipped the crew at the end of the day. I had six bids for this work and Joe's was mid-range. ( I'm a retired engineer and have been involved in construction contracts and I am wary of low bid contractors that might not provide full service because of a need to "cut corners" to make a fair profit.)

Although this was done almost one year ago, I was waiting to see how the resurfaced drive way looks like after the winter before writing a review. Especially after this historically brutal winter in 2013-2014, the drive way is in a very good shape without any cracks. What they did was trimming back the grass around perimeter of the driveway, removing asphalt along concrete near garage and street, leveling all sunken and cracked areas with asphalt and compacting throughly, resurfacing entire driveway close to 100 square yards with two and half inches of hot melt asphalt.
