I am very pleased with the work done by Joe Connolly Paving to excavate and repave my rather large driveway. The job was done on time as promised, the quality of the work was excellent and it was a real pleasure working with Joe. He's a true gentleman and professional and I would recommend him highly to anyone who needs to have any paving work done.

Joe and his team were polite, professional and punctual. Unlike other estimates we received, Joe met with us on multiple occasions to design a driveway that drained to the street.

It went very well. Joe and his team were very professional. They arrived on time the day the job was scheduled and finished the work within a day. Joe himself was present and working throughout the day. We are very pleased with the results.

Joe and his guys showed up early, were organized, had the equipment and trucks to perform and were done by 1:30. They had a three man group, including Joe and all were professional. Joe is a straight shooter and I am extremely pleased with my new driveway.

The job went perfect. Joe kept me in the loop as far as scheduling and arrived as expected. Joe took extra care regarding my concern about the width & proper drainage. He also promptly returned my calls as well. His team did a great job overall and left the work around very clean. I will be recommending Joe Connolly Paving to my friends and family.

From our first contact with Joe, we knew that we could trust his expertise and that he was a man of his word. He explained exactly what we needed to replace a 20 year old driveway, how long it would take to complete and what to do after the job was done. He was very honest about his work schedule and timing for the job which we really appreciated. Also, in this time of Covid, Joe was very respectful of personal space and safe contact with his customers. Joe and his crew were very respectful of our property, answered all of our questions and left the job site perfectly clean and restored. We were very well pleased. Our driveway really had deteriorated and probably should have been re-paved when we moved in 17 years ago. But, it wasn't. Fast-forward 17 years and we were ready to pull the trigger and get it done. However, we knew this was a big project as the entire driveway pad had to be re-graded away from the house on the front and side. The driveway was actually pitched towards the garage in the front and side. We also would have a standing lake of water up to 5" deep at the end of our driveway where it meets the street whenever there was a hard rain. We also have a Northampton Municipal Authority sewer manhole at the end of the driveway. We had several companies provide estimates. One estimator said, when asked how his company would eliminate the lake, "oh, you'll have still standing water at the end of the driveway- look, the street is pitched towards your driveway and we can't fix the street." Not surprisingly, that was our lowest bid. Of all the companies that came out, Joe was the only owner who personally came out to do the estimate. He also stayed for 45 minutes and let us explain our concerns and ask questions. The others estimators talked fast, measured even faster, and were out of there pretty quick. We didn't have a sense that they understood at all what our concerns really were. In full disclosure, Joe was our highest bid. However, this is a driveway. I don't intend on this being done again anytime soon (hopefully not while I still live here). It was a complex job and I wanted it done right- simple as that. Joe showed up with his crew and they worked hard for 2 days, all the while measuring with a transit to create a driveway that would shed water and fit our growing fleet of cars (teen drivers). End result: the "lake" is COMPLETELY gone, the manhole raised and the water channeled around it (Municipal Authority should be pleased), and the water moves to the street and does not pool in the grass. Any company can slap asphalt down on existing asphalt or mill the old driveway up and slap new asphalt down. If that's what you need, price it out and see what works for your budget. However, if you want quality work with precision results, Joe Connolly Paving is the way to go. Just check the number of positive reviews and compare to all those other companies. Oh, and one other thing: every other company we had come out offered a 2-year warranty. Joe offers a 5-year warranty. Good luck and choose wisely!

Excellent. He and his crew arrived at the agreed time, replaced all the asphalt in the driveway and left the area cleaner than when they arrived. The driveway looks better than it ever has, and several neighbors have told me how great it looks.

Looks good and he resolved the water issue we get when it rains. He built in a slope into the driveway to ensure that water will drain onto the grass and not pool in front of our garage door.

We are so highly pleased and recommend Joe Connolly Paving to anyone in need of a similar driveway overhaul. We took our time (not in a rush) and bid with four other well-known companies prior to awarding the job to Joe after meeting with him. We liked that Joe was the owner and also personally involved in the planning and execution of his projects (and had so many amazing recommendations). He answered all of our questions clearly about his proposal. Joe was on site and working all day for both days with his efficient, very professional small team. They arrived very early both days, right on time, worked straight through and cleaned up immaculately each day (day one excavation, widening and gravel fill, day two asphalt rolling). Driveway came out beautifully, totally level and with clean, beveled edges that make it look nicely finished (in contrast, my neighbor's driveway company left their edges raw and "gravelly"). Joe did all that was promised and was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. If only I had another driveway to do!

Joe and his crew did a great job removing the existing driveway and properly recontouring the base. The paving job was done with great attention to detail assuring proper runoff. Joe was able to bring the asphalt right up to the border bricks for a terrific finished look. Very pleased with the wonderful job that Joe did.

Joe did a terrific job. He arrived on time and on the date scheduled. I called Connolly Paving from the local adds along with other contractors to obtain estimates. Joe was responsive and provided a price at the time of the appointment. We discussed the work and he answered all my questions. Whenever I called him with any questions he would get back to me within a day. Joe is a hands on owner operator and that is priceless because you know the job will go as he planned it and as we wanted. This fairly large project was in uncharted waters for my wife and I. We had few references and no recommendations from others to go by; nobody had a "guy" for paving. All the websites looked great but something about Joe Connolly stuck out, including the enormous amount of excellent reviews. Joe's estimate was in-line with our budget but most of all we came away with a solid feeling about him. Joe was on-site the entire 4 day project along with his fantastic crew. His work is very meticulous, with a constant attention to detail. Joe sculpted our driveway by hand raking the stone then the asphalt. This type of craftsmanship is unheard of today and we are extremely satisfied with the outcome of the project. The crew cleaned up every night and didn't leave until everything was to perfection in the end. My recommendation to anyone is to make Joe Connolly your first and only call, don't waste your time with the others.

The job was completed on time. There was no interruption to our schedule or activities at our home. Joe and his crew were very professional. They cleaned up at the end of each work day. Joe would always return my phone call the same day I called him, and he took the time to answer all of my questions. I did not seek other bids for this job. Joe had done a relative's driveway approximately 15 years ago and I knew then that I would select Joe to do my driveway. Joe and his crew did an excellent job and I would recommend Joe to anyone looking for paving work.

Our driveway was in great disrepair. We contacted 4 or 5 companies and we decided to use Joe Connolly Paving. First, he told us what he thought we needed to get good lasting results. We agreed. The other companies minimized the job. We had to wait for Joe, which although we were anxious to get it done, felt confident that his being busy was a good sign. Joe works with his men, doesn't supervise or leave his employees to do the work. They were neat, polite and did the best job. Our driveway was pathetic, they worked hard two days to get it looking great. We are very happy!

Excellent. Joe & his crew did an excellent job. They were professional & worked their butts off. We had issues with how drive sloped to house & was a problem with water runoff. Joe gave us the name of someone to install grates in front of pato & sidewalk. When that was done Joe & his crew came out & paved the drive to minimize water runoff to house. Excellent work. Work was done in 1 1/2 days which was ahead of plan. Joe C ran the job including operating the backhoe for the removal and overseeing the placement of the new asphalt. Crew of 4 all knew their roles and work was done very smoothly. Very friendly and made sure we were satisfied. Already getting compliments from neighbors. Price was reasonable and money was well spent.

Highly experienced team of four very courteous individuals, including multiple pieces of large, current equipment. Everyone knew their role and performed in tandem, making all of the process go seamlessly. Removed the underground tree roots that had before crossed under and damaged the driveway. We received good instructions for maintaining the future integrity of the driveway. They are proud of the work they do, and it shows.
