Jim Rice Handyman

Description of Work: Jim is wonderful! I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a handy man. He installed attic stairs, some lights, shelves, an outdoor outlet, and other various odds and ends. He is kind, knowledgable, professional, and I've told him that I don't think he charges enough for his high-quality work. We have asked him back to do a second round of repairs/installations for us and will only use Jim in the future.

Description of Work: He repaired many things for me. His work was excellent---BUT . . . He walked out on me, when I told him I am 11 years older than he is. His whole attitude changed.

Description of Work: We contacted Jim to come to our house to do three things: fix our florescent lights in our kitchen eating area, to replace the ballast for our florescent lights in the utility room and also to replace and install one of our two garage openers. Jim, upon arrival went right to work with the florescent lights in the eating area -- he installed the replacement lights that we had but still the lights did not function. He then assessed that the florescent lights in the utility room did indeed need the ballast replaced. He went into the garage to look at the situation of the garage door opener. He then went to the store and purchased new florescent lights, a new ballast in the utility room and also a new garage door opener. He returned the next day and installed each of the items and since then everything has worked perfectly well. We liked Jim a lot as a person; he was polite, easy to talk with, and we think his work was very professional and will call upon him the next time we need a handyman.
