 + 0 moreI would not recommend this company. I had this company install granite in my kitchen and they are not standing by their product/installation. Installed at the end of 2019. The installers did not make an even seam between granite pieces at the kitchen sink joint. The joint was uneven at installation and got worse over time. The install service was difficult off the bat, so I didn't think I'd gain anything from complaining immediately. Within a year the sink silicone seal broke because the screws that attached the sink to the granite failed. I have tightened the screws several times and they continue to untighten. I finally got frustrated enough to call them before having to buy products myself to fix it properly and they would not come out without charging a service fee. They should not charge a service fee to fix their own install errors. Granite installs and sinks should last more than 2 years. It is very disappointing. I used this company because they ate local and had the best price, but next time I will pay more upfront for a guaranteed service that lasts many years. It is very poor customer service for them not to stand by their work.

 + -1 moreThey have been extremely kind and caring from the beginning to the end. With a big warehouse, many options, I highly recommend these folks. They are experts in natural stone. Mr. Beyan, the owner, is personally overseeing the projects and takes care of each and every detail. Highly recommended.

 + -1 moreIt didn't they refused to correct the seam underneath the faucet and the fissures to the right of the sin sprayer. Simon from Wholesale Granite and Marble in Admore showed me a trick to hide the fissures temporarily with a Sharpie pen. But that is only a temporary solution.
Description of Work: I requested that they come back and fix the seam that was so blatantly apparent when they installed the countertop back in 2016 (see my "C" rating) in 3/2016. This is a follow up review. Someone came out and said the countertop is out of warranty (their warranty is only one year). Most other places warranty the stone and the installation for 10 years. The installer who came out who barely spoke English tried to blame the plumber who put my farmhouse sink in first before the granite countertop was put in. Yea think about that one folks, the logic behind that statement? Are you scratching your head as well. Anyway he refused to fix the apparent seam running under my faucet that joins the two pieces of granite together. Then there are other fissures, right next to the sink sprayer. I asked Simon from Wholesale Marble and Granite in Ardmore to come out and I was willing to pay him to have someone from his company fix the seam and fissures in the granite. He said unfortunately there is nothing they could do other than replace the piece which will cannot afford to do. Also Verde Butterfly Granite is difficult to get nowadays. DO NOT, REPEAT DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ISTANBUL GRANITE AND MARBLE. IF THE PRICE LOOKS TEMPTING DON'T PURCHASE IT. YOU WILL BE VERY UPSET AND DISAPPOINTED WITH THE OUTCOME OF YOUR COUNTERTOPS. I learned my lesson. Do not do business with a contractor who only has a few reviews. In fact my review in 3/2016 is the very last AngiesList review written about this company and that should be a red flag right there.

 + 0 moreJust okay. It took them three visits to install what should of taken a 3-4 hour job from start to finish. Huge language barrier complicated things. Pieces were brought broken and had to be remade. The first visit they forgot to cut a whole section and part of the backsplash. After three visits the job was finished but not a quality job. He rushed through the caulking and sealing. Scheduling them was a nightmare. You can't even reach anyone on the phone. Selection of granite slabs minimal. Woman office manager was not aware of scheduling jobs. Tried to charge more than what was actually measured and cut. They were lucky we were patient with them. Communication, scheduling and coordination was poor.

 + -1 moreI had gone to 5 different places to try to find a piece of granite or pattern sample that I liked. Istanbul has you go into the warehouse and see the actual slabs. I found some I liked but were out of my price range. Then I found one that they gave us a good deal on. I liked it because it had a wave of color across it. The owner Mel was easy to work with and was amazing how they were able to make a template out of pieces of thin wood. Make sure you ask about braces; we didn't know about this and not sure how it would have gone had I not cleared it up first. My daughter had the same experience where it was a surprise.

 + -1 moreOverall I was happy with Istanbul Stone. They discounted the slab because it was the last of a lot. Mel did a good job. Seam was nicely placed. Braces for the dishwasher provided. The sink properly installed. The granite sealed. He took away the old sink and counter as stated. And his assistant even helped us move a large sectional, which was a big help. Communication could stand some improvement. They were running late for the template appt. and didn't call, even though I had given my cell number. I also had to call to find out the installation time. I was told 1 PM but they actually arrived at 11:30 AM. Again no phone call to give me a heads up. I would use them again though as they did a good job for a fair price.

 + -1 moreThe removal and installation was all done in a little more than four hours. They came, actually, a little ahead of time after calling and making sure that was okay with us. When they arrived, they immediately layed down tarps to prevent dirt and debris from settling on the kitchen floor. They also installed a new sink, faucet and garbage disposal as well. The week before, a template had been made of the countertop and when it was installed, it was perfect. They were very professional; clean, pleasant and very competent. Could't have asked for a better experience and the price was right.
