Description of Work: I called the office and spoke to Mr Devanney and told him I wanted an estimate. We made an appointment for him to come out to see the work and give me an estimate. He never called and never showed. My husband was not happy !!!! We called another electrician who came out to look at the job within a matter of days and gave us an immediate estimate. We will never deal with this electrician again. He did not give us the courtesy of a call back explaining why he could not come out as promised, even after a second call to him on the day of the appointment.

 + -1 moreThis was a very pleasant experience. I left a message in Joe's voicemail and received a call-back 2 minutes later. Joe scheduled an appointment the next day after my call. He arrived promptly at 9 am and worked steadily for about 4 hours. From time to time, Joe explained to me possible concerns that might affect what needed to be done and the time required: if the stove wire and circuit had been a little "weaker," they would have required replacement; that he wouldn't know what was wrong with the switches until he examined and tested them; that the kitchen counter outlets might be on one circuit, requiring only one GFCI installation, or on two circuits, requiring two GFCI receptacles. He updated cost estimates for me as he diagnosed what was needed for each task. As he went, from time to time Joe explained any problems and what he was doing in a way I could understand. Joe made friends with my timid cat. A week later, everything is working just fine.
Description of Work: (1) Joe disconnected an old hard-wired electric stove, installed a new 50 amp oven receptacle, and a new cord with plug on the new stove after first evaluating the carrying capacity of the wire. (2) Several light switches near the front door were malfunctioning or broken. Three different switch panels are supposed to control lights in the kitchen, front hall, and upstairs hall through 3-way and 4-way switches. Joe figured out that one switch was broken and replaced that. He discovered that a 4-way switch had been unconventionally wired (wrong wire color) when the house was built in 1978, and then miswired in a repair attempt years ago because of the wrong color. Joe rewired this switch correctly. (3) Joe replaced a defective 3-way switch in my laundry room hall. (4) Joe removed 2 receptacles above my kitchen counter (on 2 different circuits) and replaced with new GFCI receptacles according to current code. He supplied all materials for these jobs as part of the above price.

 + -1 moreI have know Joe for many years and wanted to add him to the list. He has been to my house many times and this was just the latest work performed. He is a true professional who is extremely knowledgeable and does all his work to the most current codes. He is a wonderful electrician and a great man.
Description of Work: Added 2 outlets to my house, added new wallbox, install new twin circuit breaker for power.
