In a matter of months (April-August), they completely destroyed my lawn. It went from full and green to completely dead. They were emailed 3 times asking to have someone come out and review the damage with no response. I have also asked for a refund in order to put the money that I spent into another company to restore my lawn, no response again. Do not go with this company, their level of service, responsiveness, and accountability is awful.

After using several different lawn treatment companies, Blue Grass out performed them all. We've been using them for over 20 years, and our lawn has never looked so good. If there was a problem, it was addressed promptly and to our satisfaction. A bonus: you can prepay and save

I have used Bluegrass for years. They are always professional. They are also very helpful when I have questions about specific weeds or plants growing in my yard and what to do about them. They are willing to help any way they can and will work with me on many things. My lawn looks great every year and they will also do extra work to make my lawn look great.

The review from 3/31 is spot on I cancelled my service because after 3 years my lawn shows little improvement. Numerous bare spots on my front lawn even after paying for aeration and seeding service. Mitch did reseed the next year for free but I'm still not happy with the results compared to neighbors who used another company to seed their lawn and it looks great. Dandelions even after treatment- I had to spray liquid weed killer myself to clear them up. I also agree that the person they send to do the treatment seems overly in a hurry to get the treatment done and actually damaged some of our shrubbery with weed killer overspray.

On April 1, 2014, provider delivered first chemical weed control application. Two weeks later my lawn was still overrun with weeds. It was not a minor weed problem, it was as if they had put nothing on the lawn. I called and discontinued service. On June 13, 2014, provider returned and delivered 2 applications for $137.31 each. The technician rode around in his tractor only once, but the bill said he delivered 2 applications at the same time. I called to complain that their lawn applications did not work and I did not want their service and asked why they were showing up now. The person that answered the phone could not provide a any answer on why they were showing up at my house 2 and half MONTHS after I discontinued service. Certainly, if I was a regular customer, service would have been provided in a shorter time interval as outlined in their lawnservice program. Since the person who answered the phone was adamant that I was going to pay for these two applications - he told me he "could get very aggressive about collecting money," I asked for a discount for the second application. The technician already charged me for the time, the tractor, gas, etc, and he did not have to ride around my lawn a second time. My lawn is still overrun with weeds. This is a scam service. Bluegrass Lawn Care services my front and back lawns (approximately a quarter acre; pricing is based on lawn size) on a regular basis. Work is always done as scheduled, whether I am home or not. A one-page description of services rendered is given to me each time a treatment is applied. Bluegrass workers are very professional and courteous. If I have any concern regarding my lawn, I call Bluegrass headquarters and speak with Mitch (the company's owner). In fact, I just got off the phone with him now and decided that I would write an Angie's List review. I firmly believe excellent service should be noted and praised. I called Mitch about the large dandelion weeds still in my front and back lawn. (The lawns on each side of my lawn also has these dandelion weeds.) Mitch told me that he would send someone out this week to focus solely on the dandelion weeds. I thanked him and asked how much that would cost. His response, "Why nothing of course" surprised me. However, when I thought about it clearly fit the nature of the company. Bluegrass stands by its service. The company is extremely TRUSTWORTHY. If a client has a problem, it is corrected immediately with little fuss. The company's main concern and focus is the client's satisfaction. Overall, I have found Bluegrass Lawn Care Services and Landscaping to be highly reliable and professional organization, an organization in which the client or potential client can speak directly to the owner. And the owner sees to it that the service is first rate.

I dislike writing negative reviews. It gives the appearance that the customer wants to get even and trash the business being reviewed. I would much rather write a positive review complimenting the service I received. Unfortunately the horrible service provided by Blue Grass Lawn (Mitch Lynn) cannot be over looked. I started lawn treatments in the spring of 2010. The price of $55.00 per treatment on a 1/3 acre property was much cheaper than the competition. In the fall of 2010 I wasn't seeing much improvement so I paid $450 to have it aerated. In the spring of 2011 I could see some improvement so I continued paying for the lawn treatments. By July it was looking bad again with bald spots and weeds. I called Mitch who is always quick with an excuse. "It's the heat, lack of rain etc." In the fall of 2011 the lawn looked no better than when I started, even after all of the treatments. Apparently to keep the price low inferior treatment products are used. My neighbor who uses a different lawn service has a plush green weed free lawn. Mitch suggested that I again have it aerated which I did. Keep in mind I have now paid him over $2000 for two years of treatments and aeration twice with minimal improvement. Spring of 2012 Mitch sends his tech out to do a "double treatment" costing $110.00. Unlike the other techs sent out this guy did a horrible 20 minute rush job. He drove the tractor over my wood shed ramp and destroyed it. He did a spotty treatment and left a mess. Fertilizer was left all over the patio, driveway and sidewalk that was not cleaned up. I sent Mitch an email complaining about this. I told him I was not satisfied and not to send this tech out again. Big mistake. His response was to ignore my complaint then completely suspend my lawn treatment service without telling me. Great way to treat a paying customer. After three months of no treatments my lawn looks like total crap. I sent Mitch another email expressing my dissatisfaction and telling him a review would be posted on Angie's List. This time he finally responded and said "make sure you mention 28 years of service with many satisfied customers of lawn treatments." Well I am not a satisfied customer after paying you over $2000. You ripped me off using inferior products and sending incompetent workers to my home. With all of this experience every "tech" failed to see a severe grub problem. I fired Mitch and am now using my neighbor's lawn service. What a difference, I'm getting what I paid for. They use all organic products with great results. The lawn is green and plush with no weeds. They immediately identified the grub problem and treated it. Instead of a 20 minute rush job leaving a mess they spend close to an hour doing it right. Do not make the mistake I did and use Blue Grass Lawn, you will be sorry.

I was extremely please with all the services performed and will use this company again next year.

Signed up with them about 3 years ago for lawn treatments. After the first year we considered stopping treatments because our lawn looked poor but my husband thought they were a good price. So we continued with them despite more weeds year after year. When we talked to them about it they always had an excuse- too wet, too dry. This last year our yard looks terrible I called to cancel the man gave excuses again. I said there are always excuses and he hung up on me. Terrible service!

Before I signed up with BlueGrass Lawn Service in early March 2011, my lawn looked great with very few weeds. As a new customer, I was concerned that I wasn't scheduled to receive the crabgrass treatment on time. I called BlueGrass & they assured me I was scheduled. However, I never saw them do any treatment. As spring & summer progressed, I noticed that more & more weeds grew. I had more weeds than grass. It was as though my lawn was never treated for any weeds at all! I also had huge areas of new types of weeds I'd never seen before. There was now one very large area that was completely bald. Crabgrass was everywhere. Truly my lawn never looked this bad in 23 years. I called BlueGrass. After days of leaving msgs I finally spoke to Lynd Mitchell (owner?). I told him how bad my lawn looked and how one large area was completely bald. Lynd told me my lawn suffered from previous yr's damage. I told him I didn't think so. I had pictures of how beautiful my lawn looked right before they started. Mr. Mitchell said he's pretty sure it's not crabgrass & asked me to send him pictures. (Like I don't know what crabgrass looks like!) I sent him 11 pictures of the crabgrass & the other weeds via my iphone. After seeing the pics he texted me & said I need to re-seed in the fall (their "sale" cost of $545). I replied that I wanted them to remedy & restore my lawn to the way it was when they started at THEIR expense. He replied ,"Sorry we do not cause lawn to thin out and we do not cause fungus damage...I will as a courtesy refund your crabgrass treatment payments. I have supspended your account". (I have the entire dialog on my iphone). I tried to call Lynd immediately after this dialog to discuss, but he would not answer. It was the last time that I've heard from Lynd Mitchell or Bluegrass. I've called Bluegrass on their business #: 215-364-7000 (which I discovered they only answer for new signups!) I left messages twice, but no one will return my call. To date, I have not received a returned phone call, refund, remedy, nor compensation for the destruction of my lawn. Evidently, Bluegrass uses inferior products that are NOT 99% weed free like the premium products I've used on my lawn for years. BlueGrass is VERY Unprofessional. Their sales pitch says 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Hah! What a joke. When you complain, you're suspended & they won't talk to you again. Bluegrass isn't remotely interested in customer satisfaction. If a you're unhappy, they cut you off & keep moving like you never existed. I have filed a report with the BBB. I would never use this company again nor recommend them. Unless you want your lawn destroyed, stay clear!

BLUE GRASS IS VERY CUSTOMER-SERVICE ORIENTED. IF THERE IS EVER A COMPLAINT, THEY ARE HERE THE NEXT DAY TO TAKE CARE OF ANY WEED OR DANDELION PROBLEMS. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

NEVER ACTUALLY SAW THE WORKERS, BUT THE GRASS IS COMING ALONG.
