Short Summary - The best I've ever used. Long Version -Advent HVAC was superb. I was instantly put at ease by the initial phone call when Brian asked questions to get a more complete picture of the work needed to be performed. He setup a time to come by and arrived exactly when he said he'd be there. It might not seem like a lot, but on-time arrival for many is the exception, but not Advent. Being handy, I attempted the repair myself, but it was beyond my skill level. I was familiar with the terminology and I asked very detailed questions. Brian answered all my questions and proceeded with the repair. He changed parts requiring replacement - this is an area that I'm extremely sensitive about. I've encountered many who indicate you need a part or service when you really don't. Not Advent. I was extremely confident that what needed replacement actually needed replacement. The old parts were shot - it was clearly and plainly visible even to my untrained eye. Brian never once tried to upsell me. His knowledge of not only my unit, but of HVAC in general was exceptional. He took the time to explain to me the various nuances of my setup. There were no surprises on the bill - everything on the bill was discussed ahead of time. The only surprise was how low the bill ended up being. The few parts that required replacement were extraordinarily inexpensive. It is understandable if companies mark up parts, but in my case, the part cost was actually lower than what I could purchase the parts for online. Overall, my experience with Advent was great. They will be the only HVAC company I use going forward.
