Sweet Success repaired several areas that had previous water damage. They worked quickly and cleanly to correct the problem, and replastered and painted the affected areas (kitchen, dining room, bathroom). Everyone working on the project was respectful, and they always showed up on time. Highly recommend, I'm so happy with the end result.

We are so, so happy with the work of Chris and his team. It bears specifying that Chris, Paul, and each individual team member was genuinely a pleasure to work with. We had two major projects going on at our home at once, but, despite the potential chaos, Sweet Success were consummate professionals from start to finish. Easy to talk to, they were always helpful when I had questions and seemed happy to walk me through options and details. And they were always punctual and, simply, models of diligence in their work. The work itself speaks to that diligence. It’s difficult to describe the extent of the transformation, but the word “stunning” certainly applies, and we are still receiving compliments from our neighbors four months later. We are grateful for Chris’s attention to detail and his sincere respect for the age and character of our 120-odd-year old home. He’s managed to turn a decrepit mess into something that looks like new without losing an ounce of that character, which was so important to us. Our only regret, in completing this project, is that we weren’t prepared to make it even larger. There’s plenty more work to do here, and we will absolutely be looking to Sweet Success in the future as we tackle additional projects.

Chris and his team did an excellent job of repairing my ceiling after a roof leak. My nearly 100 year old textured ceiling needed to be partially taken down, rebuilt and repainted after sustaining water and smoke damage. I was quite impressed that Chris was able to match the texture of the ceiling where it needed repaired, about a five by two foot section, that way I did not have to replace the entire ceiling. Well worth a call. Punctual, polite and professional.

We're very pleased with the job Sweet Success completed for us. They demoed most of our old porch and then restored/refinished our new porch. Communication was very clear and honest. The crew showed up on time every day and worked hard. Chris and Paul are very knowledgeable, I'd hire them again. Somehow our new porch added more charm to our already charming home.

Very professional contractor with expertise in old houses. Outstanding communication and the work was written up and every step was explained. The project went seamlessly and according to the plan and with some extra work accomplished for no additional cost. Rotted wood was replaced and metal roof was restored and preserved. Sweet success came out for a preliminary look at our 100 year old row house. Chris and Paul were professional, well versed, and had great customer focus. They were thoughtful in their assessment and fair with their pricing. They walked us through each step and make sure we were consulted on every decision. They remodeled our bathroom (moved plumbing and electrical), built and finished new walls, and created new door openings in a small living room space. Their team was considerate and tidy with our home and we’re punctual with deadlines. Very happy with the work and would recommend them to anyone I know.

The work was done within the time and cost agreed upon. The craftsmanship was excellent and the price was fair. I was very pleased with with this company (after having mostly negative experiences with local contractors up to now) and would not hesitate to get a quote from them in the future.

This was my 3rd substantial project with Sweet Success. I got an estimate Oct. 3rd and they started work Jan. 5th (they were running behind due to COVID). The project was estimated to take 4-5 days but it ended up taking 8 days. Total cost was $9945 - still within the estimated range even with the additional days they needed to finish. The plaster repair results were great. I had previously paid a plasterer to repair a full-length crack across the ceiling & the result was awful. Now it's gone. I wanted one bedroom to be re-painted the same color & they did a great job of color matching. They added a bi-fold door to the crawlspace entryway - I'm very happy with how that turned out. The added light in the bedroom closet makes a huge difference. I ended up having some additional things done while they were there: replaced some ceiling tiles in the basement, added shut-off valves to my shower, and hung an extension ladder in the garage. After they tacked down the flooring in the crawl space, the boards that cover the entry way no longer fit, so I will need to trim them down. But overall I'm very happy with the results & would use Sweet Success again.

I can't say enough good things about Sweet Success Contractors. I initially hired them for a huge plaster repair job. The previous owners of the house had hidden a roof leak behind a false wall in the master bedroom and it had left 10+ years of catastrophic damage. They did a complete restoration of the original plaster along with installing insulation and new trim to match the original wood trim that is throughout the rest of the house. They did beautiful work and were very respectful of my home and my dog. I was so happy that I brought them back again to do some work in my kitchen. They ripped up some badly installed ceramic tile (also courtesy of the previous owners). Part of it covered some original hardwood that I was determined to preserve and against all odds they managed to pull up the tile leaving the hardwood largely unscathed. They installed a radiant heat system under a porcelain tile floor that has been delightful all winter long. Once again, they installed a beautiful trim which perfectly matches the original 1937 wood trim in the rest of the house. They also did a repair of yet more water damage in my kitchen ceiling (this time from a bathtub leak) as well as repairing the leaky bathtub and doing some other minor plumbing work. When I had a minor issue with the garbage disposal, they came back same day and fixed it immediately. Still happy, I brought them back a third time to install new radiator covers throughout the house. Again, just perfect. They share my appreciation for original features in the house but they also know how to strike a practical balance between restoration and replacement. They don't know it yet, but their next projects with me are some new basement stairs and a bathroom remodel. I can't wait to hire them again.

My house is a large 110+ year old brick foursquare with a lot of wood trim. It was peeling badly and some of the wood trim was bad. Chris responded promptly to my inquiry. He was very helpful in helping me choose colors for the trim. This was an involved big 6 week job. His crew was prompt, polite and hardworking. They scraped, sanded, primed and painted the trim. They replaced bad wood when needed, even re-creating dentil molding when necessary. There was lots of debris from sanding and scraping, and they kept it contained. They pressure washed the aluminum sided enclosed back porch and repainted it. They removed ugly outdoor carpet from my front porch, pressure washed the cement and did masonry repairs and parging. They scraped the painted beadboard porch ceiling to reveal the detail before repainting it. Chris has dealt with old homes a lot, and I wanted someone who would appreciate my old house as much as I do. He did a great job and I would not hesitate to hire him again.

Sweet Success Contractors were very professional and knowledgeable about working on houses over 100 years old. They thoroughly examined all the architectural features of the house, came up with possible strategies for repairing them and discussed the project each step of the way. They did very careful professional work with an eye toward restoring the original features of the house in an artful manner. We were extremely pleased by the end result.

Chris Dallaba is professional, reliable and highly skilled. It was a pleasure to work with him and his co-workers. He provided a detailed proposal describing what the work would entail and, despite delays caused by the pandemic, the work was completed in a timely manner. His workers were polite and respectful and they cleaned up carefully when finished. The job was completed to my satisfaction and I would hire this company again for future home repairs.

Started on time. Removed tub, sink, toilet and floor and drywall. Put in a shower, new sink, toilet and flooring and painted walls and ceiling. Finished in 7 days. Friendly workers who talked over any problems and where very helpful in finding solutions . Added a shelf to the shower wall that had to be cut to fit so it could fit into the room.

Chris initially came for an estimate and noticed some additional items that needed repair. He clearly explained the work he would do, and wrote up a clear estimate. He arrived on time and he and his employee were very professional and accommodating. He also happily addressed a few small items for me that were outside the scope of his work and didn't charge me extra for them. He patched 2 holes in my ceiling and fixed 2 additional spots that had water damage. He painted the ceiling and blended the paint beautifully. He also did a very good clean up and set up. I would highly recommend him to anyone that is looking for drywall repair and interior painting. He was professional, reliable and charged a fair price.

Wonderfully. Chris Dallaba came out for an estimate of the job on the day and time scheduled. I was interested in getting a complete estimate on what needed to be done on the exterior of my 2 story duplex brick home. He was straight forward, clear and thorough about what needed to be done. I received a detailed proposal within a week. Each section of work was described and an estimated amount offered for each. He and his workmen arrived on the day and time scheduled to begin and were on time each day, worked diligently all day, were polite, answered my questions. They put down plastic around the house to minimize damage to my driveway, sidewalk, and patio areas. Chris kept me updated on their progress and completed the work on time. The final amount was in the middle of Chris' original estimate. I strongly recommend this company.

I am a big fan of Sweet Success Contractors. This is the 3rd major home project that I have hired Chris and his team for. Sweet Success is a detail-oriented and highly professional construction and remodeling crew. They are able to handle a wide range of interior and exterior work. In addition to the interior work performed for this job (shown above), past projects have included exterior painting, exterior wood trim repair, basement wall waterproofing and interior plastering. I appreciate Chris's careful estimating process (scheduled for Saturdays) and the way he continuously updates me on developments as the project progresses. I have learned to trust him and I have even had Sweet Success work when I was traveling outside the country. Chris works hard to avoid surprises for the client. The results always look terrific because Chris is a perfectionist. I give Sweet Success the highest rating and I will hire them again.

We just used Sweet Success for the second time and recommended them to family as well. Chris knew the design of our mid-century house and gave suggestions based on the understanding of cost, aesthetics, utility, disruption, and time to the client. Chris has a good eye and can see a flaw the unskilled eye might not. He discovered that faulty paint had been previously applied. Large pieces of the paint fell off when scraping either because of bad paint, lack of primer, or the discovery of painting over wallpaper. What ever difficulty came up, Chris and his crew: Jake, Keandre, and Curtis could implement solutions. Our walls were repaired and painted professionally. Chris’ experience and abilities allow him not only to cure house paint problems but also discuss new ideas not considered by the client. The Sweet Success crew is on time and coordinated with each other to work on multiple tasks at the same time. The job isn’t finished until the clean-up is done.
