Bob's prices are very good, and he guarantees the skylights against leaking for the life of the roof. But he does not have an eye for inside detail. If you can have someone else do the inside work (the drywall, painting, etc), I would recommend that; otherwise, be prepared for ceiling paint that doesn't match the surrounding ceiling paint, seams to show through unevenly textured surfaces, and the like. Also, be sure to get tarps and put them down in the rooms where you have the work being done, if there is anything that you want to save in there. He is not very conscientious about bringing tarps with him, and attics tend to have all kinds of dust and dirt that will cover everything in sight. Also, be sure that you are both very clear on the price and exactly what work will be done beforehand to ensure that there is no miscommunication. I would use him again because, while certainly not perfect, the results don't look bad, and I can't afford to spend three times as much.
Description of Work: They put in two skylights, including one that was quite a distance from the ceiling, so it required a lot of inside work.

Its going good so far. He arrives on time. They have a reasonable price and he is a very nice guy. He is ok about not leaving messes in my home that I would have to clean up.
Description of Work: They came out and put a skylight in a bedroom at my home.

He came quickly 7 provided a quote & price to do the work. He was honest by telling me I didn't need new skylights, only had to have them installed correctly to stop the leaks. He repaired them quickly which was key because every time it rained I was tired of putting buckets on my floor to stop the leaks. I thought that his price was slightly high. $750.00 for two well trained men & a total of about 6 hours of both of them working together. But his work is guaranteed! I believe they did know what they were doing and he was very descriptive in detail about what they did. He even took a Polaroid photo of the work when the skylights were removed so I could see what was done. Apparently one of the skylight corners was slightly separated (not by him but just over time) & he sealed it up with an adhesive. Not too concerned because I knew about it & that was never the cause of the leaks. However, he would have said nothing to me about it - I found out through his worker.
Description of Work: There was a water leek around two skylights. The Contractor removed the skylights & surrounding shingles, and reapplied them properly using the correct adhesives, under metal to prevent leaks, & reapplied new shingles around the skylight properly to prevent leaks. He guaranteed his work for the life of the skylights. If they ever leak I am to give him a call and will repair the leak free of charge.
