Description of Work: We needed a leaking cast iron waste pipe to be replaced, and some pex lines run from the upstairs to the basement. He was very prompt in responding to our call, and in completing the work. The workers were punctual and polite. The workers did leave our house a mess, with dirt ground into our floors and rugs, and while they did complete the work, it was done in such a manner that in order for us to close the ceiling hole properly, we had to redo the shark bite fittings that they used. In an emergency, I would use them again.

Description of Work: When my water heater went south, my neighbor suggested I call Darrell Hayes. Good advice . . . . . Darrell answered my first phone call, gave me an estimate over the phone and arrived the next morning at 8:00 AM, as promised. He brought the best American made H2O heater and installed it in a few hours. He also replaced 2 valves at cost and left the basement clean. Darrell has been in business for many years and is now my go-to plumber. I give Darrell an A++.

 + -1 moreDarrell Hayes was able to diagnose and solve a serious lack of heat (boiler and hot water radiators) in over half of our new, old house. The new furnace and associated repiping really made a difference. All work was done in a professional way. Very neat and well planned.
Description of Work: Replaced existing boiler with high efficiency boiler. Repiped around boiler and installed hi velocity pump to improve flow of hot water to all radiators.

 + -1 moreI had Darrell come and look over a complete bathroom renovation, asking for an estimate to move a drain about 12 inches, and re-route the water feeds. He was punctual, talkative, and very friendly. He showed up on time for the estimate, and promised I would have it in 3 days. That's when the disconnect began. After a week of no contact, I began calling. I left 3 voicemails over the course of another week, asking when I would receive the estimate, only to receive no calls back. Not sure what happened, but I stopped calling after those 3 messages, and gave up. It's a shame too, as I wanted to work with him, based on reputation and personality. Unfortunately, it just wasn't going to happen.I
Description of Work: I requested an estimate, and Darrell showed up to look things over, but never did provide an estimate, despite multiple phone calls and requests.

 + -1 moreWe used to have trouble with our toilet. When we call him he is always here on time. He works for himself and is a good friend of ours. The quality of his work is very good. We built a house 22 years ago and he had done all the plumbing for us back then. We have no complaints whatsoever. I can't say enough good things about him. I wouldn't hesitate to call him.
Description of Work: We used Darrell Hayes Plumbing & Heating & Remodeling to install an American standard toilet. He put grabs on the side so that we could get up easy.
