We had a neighbor's tree fall on our house. The insurance covered the cost so i don't remember what it was but it was comparable to other bids we got. I went with them because when I had to sell advertising for my son's high school hockey team, they were nice enough to buy an ad when they didn't know me or him. They did a great job, and cleaned up the area. Also stacked the wood.

The crew immediately began trimming the first of three 100 year old London Plane trees from over the roof of the house with a bucket crane. Very adeptly performed.They carefully maneuvered the very large bucket truck down my narrow driveway and removed the Chinese Elm branches from over my garage roof.

We called in March for an estimate and spoke with someone in the office who was very friendly and helpful. Scott came out to give us an estimate and explained exactly what they would do. We gave him a check for 10 % of the estimate to be put on the work list. They called and came out about a week later and completed the job in 2 days. We asked to be put on a list to be contacted next spring . From the estimate to the completion of the job, BJ Tree Service was professional,, friendly and very helpful.

They did a great job. They brought a big truck through the back yard and went very high into our trees. They cleaned up well after themselves and were efficient.

3 men performed work within 5 hours, with professionalism. This included clean up of all debris. they did excellent work.

I called BJ Tree Service back in December for an estimate on trimming and shaping a fruit tree. Within a few days, someone was out inspected the tree and provided me an estimate for the work. The total was $250.00 and I was asked to send in $25.00 so that I could be put on the schedule. I sent in the deposit at the end of January and was called approximately 2 weeks later asking if it was ok to do the job. I agreed on the day and they came and trimmed the tree as was agreed to in the estimate. The also cleaned up all of the clippings. The job was completed to my satisfaction.

They came out when they said they were going to and did a good job. They did a nice clean up job when they were finished. Overall I was very pleased with the work and will use them again in the future.

There was a lot of damage. They were very professional. They beat me here when it came to responsiveness. I really like them. In fact I called them back this year for an estimate for a different reason. That's how much I liked them the first time around. I think I’ve referred them to my neighbor. The trees that they took care of belong to the borough where I live at. They are old and now they're falling. That's how I came in contact with their service.

Everything ran smoothly from the intial contact with the office staff for an estimate to the final removal of the tree. We are very pleased with their work and would recommend them to anyone needing a tree removed. .

I called three companies for tree removal after research using Angie's List. When Scott came to give an estimate, I thought B J Tree Service offered the complete package: knowledge, professional, fair pricing. Scott gave a realistic estimated for when he could begin working and offered logical, fair reasons why a delay might come up. Per my request, Ruth called from the office to schedule a date so I could be home. The crew arrived as scheduled, worked continuously, and cleaned up the complete area. Excellent work from great people!

They are very, very good. Their cleanup is great. The man that owns the company is an arborist and he definitely knows what he is talking about. The cleanup is so good that you won't even find a stick in your yard. I was using them every time a tree fell down and not even checking on prices. He is really good. His work is wonderful. They are real good about coming to give estimates and I don't have to be here. They also offer emergency service, which is a real good thing. They always have somebody available if there is an emergency. He also takes the trees and dyes them and mulches them up to sell it. I don't know if he is more expensive than other tree services. He has done trees that are really close to the house and he did the work perfectly. They are so careful and nothing has ever fallen on any of my shrubbery. I would definitely use them again for something very close to my house. They are efficient and they come when they say. They are real nice to work with and they are a local company.

They have been working for me for years now and I will always call them when I have any tree issues. They do a wonderful job.

I was very pleased with the professionalism of this company. Though it took a couple months to finally have them come out to remove the tree, they adjusted my bill because of the many delays. I was happy that they valued my time and made the adjustments. They did a wonderful job of removing the tree and cleaning up the site. There is no visible evidence that a tree once stood there.

It went very well. They were very prompt and professional. They did a quality job. A branch off of a tree hit a downspout. They were very prompt in sending someone out to repair it. The good thing is that even though there was an issue, they took responsibility, took care of the problem and didn?t try to hide it.

They were fantastic and very professional. They cleaned up EVERYTHING after they were done. They were also extremely efficient. This tree was really big and there was nothing there when they left. I've recommended them to many others

Overall, my experience with this company was great. I was debating over whether or not to remove the stump and their estimate was well below other companies ($130 vs $300 and above) so I decided to remove it. I was unable to be home when the tree was removed but they called me to let me know when they would be there. They also called to ask if it would be ok if some of my tulips would be removed in the process, but assured me they would be careful to keep as many as possible. I thought that was very considerate. They also agreed to haul away some branches that blew down in a prior windstorm. Overall, they did a great job. Aside from some stump chippings, it looks as if the tree was never there. (and this was a very large tree- as tall as my house!)

Given the county-wide wind damage that occurred, I was very happy that Scott was able to come out within several days to give me an estimate. I also received a second estimate from another company and his was significantly lower. I called to schedule the work and was really surprised that they would be able to come out in two days. On the morning of the scheduled work, Scott called to ask me if he could delay the work until the next day. This was perfectly understandable as the temperature that morning was 8 degrees. I was pleased to see an employer concerned for his workers' welfare. The work crew arrived exactly on time and immediately set to their tasks. I was very impressed with how methodical the entire team was. The trees seemed to virtually disappear. Every time I looked out my window, I was astonished at the progress. Later in the day, Scott, the owner, knocked on my door. Apparently, the stump grinder had damaged a small section of a chain link fence bordering the trees. When I stated that I didn't really care about that piece of fencing, Scott offered to remove it (posts and all) for me, no charge. The section of fence was gone in 20 minutes. Very impressive! By late afternoon, everything was gone and all debris was cleaned up. They even cleaned up the branches in my yard that had accumulated from the wind storm. BJ Tree Service definitely exceeded my expectations!

I have an Elm tree that is dying. Due to a windstorm a branch broke off, but fortunately became stuck in the tree. I had to have the branch removed, because there was a possibility it would fall onto my roof. I called BJ tree service for an estimate. The amount was very reasonable. I asked for the cost of the removal of just the branch and a separate cost for the removal of the entire tree. I was given both. I had the company remove just the branch. Based on their performance, I want them to finish removing the entire tree.

The work was well done and on time. My frustration was that they billed me the full price of the original estimate ($670) even though they didn't have to trim the neighbor's branches. When I complained, they did knock off a token $20.

The crew did an excellent job. I always prefer to be home when work is being done at my house, but I could not be. I have been trying to get this work done for a couple of years now,but found that I could not because I had to go on out of town for extended periods during that time. Finally I just went ahead and scheduled for the first available date. Ruth was fantastic and understanding as we went back and forth on the phone since I started this process. She got back to me right away anytime I left her a message. Anyway, we finally settled on a date for the work to be done while I was at work, and I was extremely pleased when I got home. Aside form the fact that all of the trees were trimmed beautifully and I could see the house again, and there was light and space again all around. There was no sign that anyone had even been here. Not a branch, not a leaf was left on the ground. Everything had been cleaned up perfectly. I knew they would do a great job because they were highly rated on Angies list. I would be very happy to recommend this company to anyone, and I would be happy to use them again if I needed anything else done. Great work. I cannot praise them enough.

BJ Tree Service responded promptly to my request for an estimate to remove three (3) trees from my property. Two large pines (65' plus), the better part of a large cherry wood tree and damaged shrubbery. Scott Mack and his crew were extremely professional, personable and efficient in all aspects of the job. Scott was able to provide an estimate (lowest of 3) and schedule the work within a week. The work was completed in one day and included a thorough clean up. Scott also personally responded to some oil clean up in the driveway from one of his vehicles and corrected the problem. I would highly recommend BJ Tree Service.

This is the 3rd company I used from Angie's List and the BEST. Their crew worked very professionally and promptly. They did everything the estimate explained. They cleaned up all the dirt and residue. I would definitely refer them to my friends and family and would use their services again. They did an excellent job!!!

He did a wonderful job and excellent price. When he was trimming my tree a huge limb came down, and broke one of my natural stone pavers. He came and replaced it and installed it that was a perfect blend and it matched. He was very polite, and he cleaned up after himself. I think that he went over and above with replacing the stone.
