 + 0 moreSugar run has the nicest plant selection in this area hands down! Ever since Sean took over a few years ago the quality has only gotten better and the customer service he and the nursery manager Steve provide is second to none. If you need plants this is the nursery to go to!

Description of Work: I selected numerous trees and shrubs at Sugar Run Nursery. I have used them in the past and find their trees and perennials to be among the best quality in Pittsburgh. Need to shop early in the season as many landscapers buy here and inventory decreases quickly.

 + -1 moreWe've absolutely been happy with them, they are pretty knowledgeable. Sometimes you might wait if they're busy but they are good. I've recommended them to others.

 + -1 moreWe went to Sugar Run Nursery and spoke to Dana who offered to come look at our yard and offer suggestions. She was extremely knowledgeable about design, plants, shrubs and trees. After a few visits to the house, she designed a drawing in late fall for our back and side yards. We were contacted by Joe, the owner of Sugar Run Nursery who presented a proposal to us in April. Joe also met with us a few times before the project started to present different options. The planting began in May. Joe is a hands-on owner, pays attention to every single detail, and treats the project like it's his own home. The result was beyond our expectations and we couldn't be more grateful to Joe, Dana, and all the workers at Sugar Run. We will enjoy their work for many years to come! Our only regret was not doing it sooner.
Description of Work: There were three large distinct areas for extensive planting and design. A stepping stone path was installed, stone steps up a bank, firepit, boulders, etc. Sections of the lawn were regraded and seeded. The gardens were also regraded. Window wells were addressed. A dozen trees were strategically planted as well as over 30 plants and shrubs.

 + -1 moreAs opposed to going to a big box store, at Sugar Run, all of the employees are educated in their products. They can advise you as to what is the best trees for your area, and what you are looking for. We have used them twice in the last 4 years, but have used them before this for other trees. They have a warranty with their trees. If someting happens to one of the trees, they will replace it.
