Started great, finished great!
Description of Work: A glass block bathroom exterior window was installed.. Completed in two days. Required special scaffolding, second floor. Estimated to take 2 1/2 days. Job was completed in two days. Setup, execution, cleanup. all professional. Job more difficult than estimated. Window required a lintel, which was not part of the origonal quote, but the price was unchanged. Estimated a start date several weeks in advanced. Started on that exact date. His dollar estimate was, in my opinion, very reasonable for the work done, which required a great deal of technical expertise. Thrilled with result. I would recommend this contractor.

While we had to wait a while for his services -- he did call us with an earlier date but we were out of town that weekend and missed his call -- it was really worth-while. The work was done veery carefully and we were very impressed with it, inboth cases, fixing the stucco and the front porch... W had thought they might just patch the cement work, but they made it al look like new! We are extremely pleased and will defintely conatact him in the future if needed.

Tom's company is very busy as one can tell by his glowing reviews. He was able to come out within several days to give us an estimate.
Description of Work: We contacted Tom Natalini because we had a leak coming in our Chimney, we contacted another highly rated Mason as well. The first Mason quoted us $5800 to repoint the Chimney and install new coping at the top of the Chimney as this was the "only" solution. Tom sent one of his crew to estimate the work and gave us a quote of around $1200 to do the same scope of work. We agreed and Tom came out to do the work. When he looked around, he determined that all of the pointing was good. We needed to clean the growth off of our Chimney and seal it. He suggested we call a Chimney company for the work. We appreciate his honesty. Tom, will be our first call on any future Masonry work.

They were very efficient and professional and knowlegeable. They warned me that the wall could be damaged in the removal of the sidewalk, but it wasn't. I knew that the tricky part was dealing with the gate which had been having sticking problems for quite some time due to previous cement work done by the city. It was obvious that this was going to be a challenge and when the gate was released from the cement, they saw the problem. They were willing to try a repair by changing the placement of the gate on the wall and it worked. Now the gate works beautifully. I was very pleased with their work.
Description of Work: I had them replace about 26 feet of sidewalk that bordered on stucco wall. They removed the old sidewalk without damaging the wall and figured out how to reinstall a gate in the cement and stucco wall so that it fit better than previously.

I left a message and Tom phoned right back. He set up an appointment to come to my house on a Sunday between noon and 3pm. While others who've come to give an estimate gave me a definite time, not a window, I thought, Okay, I can do this. I've done it for Verizon. :) Tom didn't come and didn't come and by 3 he wasn't there. At 3:30 I got a message saying his dog had taken sick and had to go to the hospital. Now I can understand how upsetting this can be, but still I'd have expected a call before 3:30. If Tom had phoned back Monday I'd probably still have had him come out, knowing that a Pet's illness can be upsetting. But I never heard from him again, and to me that's no way to do business or impress people.

We hired Tom to repair some sections of loose/cracked/missing stucco on our rowhouse and to seal a row of exposed sand brick that was badly weathered. Scheduling the estimate was easy and prompt, and Tom was very thorough in identifying and explaining the various masonry issues (the house is 90 years old after all). He suggested remedies and prioritized what work needed to be done right away and what could be postponed. Communication was very good, and his crew arrived on time and completed the work as scheduled. The finished work looks really good, and they did a great job cleaning up, as well. I will absolutely call Tom the next time we need to have masonry work done.

This was my second time using Tom Natalini. As usual, Tom is pleasant, responsive and professional. Before he started my job, he invited me to a work site nearby so he could show me what concave pointing should look like (to direct the rain away). He was repointing another brick house, and his workmanship was beautiful. What I originally thought was a simple pointing job on my upper chimney turned out to be much more after Tom climbed up to inspect. I had noticed the chimney leaning a bit toward the back yard, and I could also see that the pointing was missing in most areas. They installed scaffolding, removed masonry approximately 14" from the top, removed top rollock capping all four sides of chimney; sawed out all brick joints down to roof level, repointed all joints using concave slicker, installed new rain cap on existing flue pipe. Tom's estimate indicated installation of a new concrete crown, but after he began the work on the chimney, he said it wasn't needed, saving me some money. They cleaned up nicely when they were finished, and they replanted several plants that were in their way when they installed the scaffolding, which I thought was very considerate. Tom's son was working here the second day, and I learned from him that his family on both sides has been in the masonry business for a couple of generations, so I guess they've learned something along the way! I will use Tom in the future and will recommend him to anyone who asks.

Tom Natalini & Sons did a first rate job! They did an impressive amount of work in record time and they did it extremely well! They were very thorough, professional and courteous. Not only did they complete the work in record time they cleaned up so well after the job was finished that I could barely tell they had been in our house. I showed Tom my basement and the cracks in the wall of my (Civil War era) Center City Philadelphia row house. He knew exactly what to do to fix the problems which included; basement flooding, wall damage and deterioration and walls separating from the foundation. He explained all of the procedures and the resulting costs up front. There were no surprises. Tom is very personable and really went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. He even fixed my neighbor's step at no extra charge to us because he thought that might be contributing to the water in our basement. Just amazing! I would hire Tom Natalini again in a heart beat and I would recommend him to friends or family without a second thought. He did a really outstanding job!

Description of Work: Mr Natalini replaced about 40 feet of sidewalk that was destroyed when a new sewer line was installed. He was prompt in responding to my call and gave an estimate within 2 days. I greatly admired Tom for referring us to the leak detection agency initially. He reasoned that it would save us money in the long run, rather than him trying to figure out the exact source of the leak. However, if Tom doesn't want to work in Collegeville, it would have been helpful to clarify that during our initial conversation. In the future, I will make that one of my first questions.
Description of Work: The front of our home is stucco, and after heavy rains the water somehow seeps from the upstairs (where there is no leakage evident on the interior of the home) to above the downstairs living room windows. It seemed like a complicated project, so I joined Angie's List for the sole purpose of finding a reputable contractor(s) to hire. After reviewing the glowing reports for Tom Natalini, we contacted him, thinking the source of the problem was the stucco. During our initial phone consult, I told him where we lived and described our problem. He immediately referred us to a leak detection company, who did a fine job. I later e-mailed that report to Tom and asked for a follow-up call. A week later I re-sent the e-mail requesting an immediate response. He did call me back, and informed me that he generally does not travel to my locale, and doesn't know why Angie's List recommended him to someone in Collegeville. Then he suggested another contractor, a relative of his. I thanked him for his time and said I would find a local contractor myself.

I found them through Angie's List. I spoke to Tom Natalini. Chris is his son. He was nice, but a little bit scattered. He seemed like he would've done the job well, but he ended up being a little expensive. The estimate was for $2200. He made a scheduling error that wasn’t very professional. It was a very pleasant experience overall, but it could've been better.

He called to see if he could come earlier than originally scheduled and that worked for me. He showed up with one worker and they went to work. His worker waited out the rain storm once and then went back to work until the storm started again. They patched the ceilings after installing the star bolts and cleaned up after themselves inside and out. They did all the caulking around the windows and doors. After pointing the outside of the house, Tom patched the walls inside that had been damaged because of the cracks in the stone outside letting in water. Tom and his worker Derrick were very professional and courteous. I am going to have them do some additional work in the near future replacing my old glass block windows. My neighbor got them to put star bolts in their house also, based on my recommendation. I highly recommend Tom Natalini and Sons for your masonry work. Lynda
Description of Work: Tom showed up on Fathers' Day as promised and gave me an estimate. It was a reasonable estimate and he had also done work for someone in the area. In addition to pointing and patching, Tom installed Star Bolts to keep the back wall from separating any more from the house. They caulked around all my windows, doors and garage, and filled in cracks. Tom also patched around an air conditioner that was in the wall with just wood around it.

I called for an estimate on some re-pointing and window well work, for a home we are in the process of purchasing. Tom, Sr., promptly returned my call and referred me to a different mason as he was too backed up. I did appreciate the quick response to my phone call and attention. The other mason also called me, at Tom, Sr.'s request. The other mason set up an appointment with me on a Sunday morning, which I was quite pleased about. Tom Sr. even called to make sure the other mason set up an appointment with me. However, after driving out to the home to meet this other mason for our appointment (which is 30 minutes from my current home), he never showed. I called him, after waiting 15 minutes, and it went straight to voicemail. I left a message and continued to wait an additional 15 minutes. He never showed, never responded to my phone call and has yet to contact me.

Excellent! Though they were a little more expensive than other companies we got quotes from, we were ultimately very happy with the work they performed. They really do beautiful work - we would highly recommend them.

Tom is AMAZING! He arrived promptly to give me his estimate which was important to me.He is extremely courteous and professional. I bought this house (100 yrs old) and live in another state so had to work long distance. Tom called me each and every step of the way to let me know what was going on. He and the HVAC guy needed to coordinate the basement windows so HVAC could use one for venting. Tom offered to call him and did so several times top make sure he was leaving block open where it needed to be. He called me EVERY step to let me know what was happening and to reassure me that it was all coordinated. I left a lock box on door for him to come in and get his work done. To live hundreds of miles away and be paying thousands of dollars, it is a bit nerve-wracking. I felt completely comfortable with Tom.He made what could have been a very difficult situation a great one. I felt very confident. My house was neglected and crumbling and Tom took care of it and ME. I HIGHLY recommend Tom for any stone or masonry work. Can't say anything better about the guy! I will use him for any add'l work as long as i own this house, of course. I'm so happy that Angie's list lead me to Tom. It was the only way I could find someone in a state I don't live in (without having to rely on my realtor's special friends) You will be extremely pleased with Tom I can assure you.

He might be little economy; but he was very prompt. He always kept me in touch with what he was going to be doing. He and his workers were glaringly polite. They asked permission to do everything like walking in the house and use the bathroom. They were very nice about that and I thought the job that they did was terrific. He told what he was doing and why. He would advise me to come out and look at what he was doing. They were very quiet and quick. I would recommend them to anybody. I checked around prices for the job they did and they were not the cheapest; but they were certainly not the most expensive. I thought it was pretty reasonable for they were doing. They was very physical labor and calling stuff back off. They cleaned up some ceiling and the dust. It looked better after they left and once I came. They cleaned up the whole area they were working on and it was wonderful.

Our house has had a chronic mystery leak for a year and a half. Finally we called in a leak detection specialist who told us our house needed flashing installed. We called Tom thinking it would be a simple job. When they removed some of the stucco, they found that the entire back of the house was a disaster. It would need to be totally redone from the ground up to the roof (3 story rowhome). Tom calmly walked us through the project step by step. He showed us where the builder of the house had made errors and what would be done to fix them. His crew worked on our house for a full week. They were prompt and courteous and took great care to make sure there was no debris or mess left on the site. They even took care of little things, like taking off our window screens so they wouldn't get paint on them during the process. They worked efficiently with the roofing crew that we had to bring in as well to get the project done quickly. Although we had no idea this project would turn out to be so big, we are very happy we chose Natalini & Sons and would definitely recommend them to others and choose them again for future projects.
Description of Work: Complete repair of back corner of house due to chronic mystery leak; removed all wet particle board from ground level to roof, removed existing stucco and wire, removed wet insulation, installed new 2x4 and 2x6 to under pin floor joist, install new insulation where needed, install new plywood, install tyvec over all exposed wood, install new galvanized wire, apply super bond to first coat of stucco, apply super bond to finish coat of stucco.
