I usually don’t review companies but I had the absolute worst experience ever and really needed to share. My husband and I were first time home owners and recently had a newborn when we realized our oil heat wasn’t working. We had a service contract with meenan and was informed it was unable to be fixed so we were referred to their sales department who sold us 5 mini splits for Heat and AC. We spent almost $17,000 on these units and we still were unable to get warm!! The units were actually blowing freezing cold air out while on heat mode. When we informed Michael McBride who sold us the units that they were not working he told us that the units were not supposed to be working in cold weather or in the snow although we were previously told they would work up to -5. I kept asking why he sold us these as heating units If they wouldn’t be working in the cold. He was extremely dismissive to all of our concerns/ issues. We had many many phone calls escalating to Supervisers and they finally sent back out the installers. At that point we found out they hired a third party contractor to install our units and it appeared Meenan did not want to send their own service people and only wanted us to deal with this third party contractor they used for our job. We kept saying that we hired them not this other company etc. At one point this third party contractor came back to troubleshoot what was going on and when we asked him how he was doing he said he had a slight cold and was feeling under the weather. This was in the HEIGHT of Covid (omicron) so I asked him not to come inside (we had a newborn) and called Meenans main line. They informed us no one else would come and we had to use this one guy. This guy wasn’t even able to fix the problems and weeks went by with more and more calls and frustrations. Eventually I was put in contact with a supervisor David Cooperman and meenan sent their own service staff to look at the problem. They determined it was a issue with the unit not the installation and they needed Fujitsu to come out and evaluate the problem. About 2 weeks later (and lots of sleepless nights due to the cold) Fujitsu came out and confirmed the unit was broken and needed to be replaced. Meenan then wanted us to wait for them to process the warranty before replacing the unit which they had no timeline for and said it could take MONTHS!! After several more calls to supervisors they agreed to replace the units and they now work. It had been 7.5 weeks from the date of installation until the broken unit was replaced. I asked for money back and they acted like they did everything right and didn’t understand where I was coming from. At no point during this entire process did they say sorry. The entire process they made us feel like we were being difficult and picky. Needless to say this is still ongoing. 🤯😩. We are very disappointed. We chose a large company like meenan to stand behind their installation and do the right thing. If they installed a broken unit they should have come out the very next day to replace it. The process should not have taken 7.5 weeks of frustration.

I have been a Meenan Oil Company for 20 years and have never been disappointed. Customer service reps are top notch.

Oil tank failed right after manufacturers warranty expired. Worked hard to try and keep price low. Very pleased with company because they work hard to please you.

Not Well. As of this time a NO SHOW

Had to call to get the delivery even though I’m on automatic delivery.

earlier this year I had my entire heating system replaced. The gentlemen were very professional and very organized and quick. They were very thorough in explaining the heating unit along with showing me when the chimney needed to be updated and cleaned. They are very flexible with scheduling and changing appointments.

They do an excellent job, I have had them as my supplier for many years.

Everything went well. Men r very courteous n conscious of covid.

Everything went as planned. Showed up on time and did the work in a timely fashion and cleaned up afterwards. Like they weren’t even here. Very happy with everything.

By mistake, they let me run out of heating oil twice. But they did their best to remedy it quick.

Checked out Ok. Was Short Parts on Tune Up and was scheduled for another time for which they Came in a reasonable time. But they sent another Tech and he didn't seem to do what was not Complete just replaced a nozzle and also a Card was not left of work that was Complete and no paperwork. But nether did the First tech and No Paperwork to know what was still not complete. Seems Covid was having a toll on Service. But during regular Times the Service was excellent.

The project went well. The workers were very professional. I was very satisfied.

I have used Meenan to repair and replace my oil burner and care for it for many years. I have also used them to install and care for a generator and provide propane for it for a number of years. They have been available in a timely way every time and have even shown up in the middle of the night when I had an oil burner emergency. Everyone has always been very professional and helpful. I recommend them highly.

Initially the first service technician mis-diagnosed the damage and we waited a week to get a part that was in the replacement part box the, the technician failed to discover. Once we got a senior maintenance technician involved, the damage was properly diagnosed and the work went exceptionally well. All of the new installation team were highly professional and accomplished tge installation in one day, and hauled off the old furnace. I am highly pleased with the work the new installation team did. I’ve told Meenan to never send the initial technician back to my house again.

Very well even though it was a very cold day...the men worked hard to correct the situation.👍🏻

Fast service, they tried to charge me, but I called and said it should be covered in maintenance contract, turns out it was, so they canceled the bill. You got to check them. They should have known that and not billed me. But all good in the end.
