Smith Brothers Plumbing and Heat

They are fantastic! I guess they're fairly comparable. It was actually a little cheaper than I thought it would be. There's not a lot of plumbers in our area, so the ones we do have are very busy. They're all a little slow to get back to you initially. I would absolutely use them again, not that I would want to, but they would be my first call.

They have never returned my calls.

My husband and I were in the process of selling our home and moving. I was disconnecting the water lines to our washing machine to prepare it for moving, and the valve broke. Water was flowing at a rate of about 2 gallons per hour, and we were unable to stop it. Smith Brothers listed a 24-hour emergency number, which I called. I got an answering service and provided the details, and noted that the packers would be arriving the next day, so speed was of the essence. I was told that we'd get a call back. A day later, and no one ever called us. So I found a plumber in Olean, N.Y. that was able to come down and fix the problem. I then called Smith Brothers back and told them their services were no longer needed. Guess what? Later that day, a plumber from Smith Brothers showed up unannounced, walked in the front door without introducing himself (we thought he was just another one of the movers!) and asked where the plumbing issue was. If you need an emergency plumber, look elsewhere.
