It went exactly as planned. Daryl said he would be here at 8:00am and he was here at 8:00am every day. At the end of each day he always left the area clean. Joints of the deck fit perfectly. The door he installed opens & locks perfectly. Code construction tolerances were exceeded. Highly knowledgeable of all construction phases. He shows pride in his workmanship. would definitely hire him again.

DK Renovations has done different construction and renovation projects for our company for the last 11 years. Daryl and his crew is first class . they are fair with their estimates, show up when promised and stay until the job is completed. Projects included repairing our roof, repairing masonry, rebuilt a complete upscale kitchen and built a deck and patio outside our building. Daryl is very accommodating with us as customers and works hard to satisfy us when we change our plans. Plain and simple ... My old copper kitchen drain pipe developed a pin hole. The plumber had to cut the cabinets/wall upstairs and the garage ceiling downstairs to replace the pipe. I hired DK Renovations to repair the openings. Daryl promptly returned my call, gave me an estimate, and showed up on time. He takes the time to do the job right. And he cleaned up afterwards. I knew there wasn't much that could be done with the holes cut into the kitchen cabinets short of replacing them but Daryl was able to put a solid patch on them which allowed me to put on wood grained contact paper making it is much less noticeable. Daryl is knowledgeable and does the job correctly. The patching/repair portion was a one day job and I would definitely call him for bigger jobs.

My husband said there were a lot of places they could have cut corners and they did not. The crew all seemed to know what they were doing rather than some inexperienced guys just following one person's directions. They cleaned up beautifully. They were very good all around.

From start to finish, dealing with Darryl and his crew was an absolute pleasure. Darryl promptly came out to have a look at my project, gave me a detailed quote within 2 days, and told me when he would be available to start the job. He gave helpful suggestions to improve the design of the deck, obtained the required permit from the City, and kept me updated on the progress of the job. The deck itself was completed in only 3 days (other contractors from whom I received quotes told me it would take at least a week), and looks fantastic! Darryl's crew clearly takes pride in their work and are fastidious in their attention to detail: the edges of the handrails are neatly routered, spindles are spaced precisely, and every last rough edge was sanded velvety-smooth. After they were finished, they cleaned up the work area promptly and thoroughly. Darryl insisted on exceeding building code standards when he built my deck, and it feels unbelievably solid. The joists are oversized,it's attached to the house with two different types of fasteners, and is cross-braced in every direction. We're looking forward to warm weather so we can load up the deck with all of our friends and family for an outdoor BBQ -- it surely can handle the load.

My livingroom entrance door did not fit correctly at the base and cold air came in. I was forever trying to block out the draft. To compound the problem new carpeting prevented me from keeping a small rug in place. The door would just not clear both the carpeting and a additional rug. Mr Konstanzer work diligently to fit a higher threshold in the opening ... no easy task as one side was higher than the other. Then he had to replace a section of wood between the carpet installation and the threshold. When all was in place he worked to shave the bottom of the door to make a smooth and tight fit. Although all the mismatched dimensions make for a lot of extra work, I was not charge for additional time....the original estimate was what I paid. He would not accept additional money because he said he would stay with the original estimate. He left the work area s*** and span when he was done, even sweeping the porch where the wood dust was from shaving the door.

Darryl did a great job on this project that was long overdue. The old railing was already removed, and I had the materials, so he built and installed the bottom and top rails around the porch as well as down the steps to the posts, which he also installed. He then put in all the balusters. Everything is sturdy as ever, nice and level, and put together very nicely.

Everything went great. Darryl comes on time (early in the AM) which is hard to find in contractors. The shower and interior doors look great, and open and close perfectly. Drywall finished very well.
