Brett Sabol Plumbing & Heating

We paid Brett to install a water softener unit and change our whole house filter. After the install, I called Brett because the techs did not do many of the steps in the install manual and Brett rudely told me to “chill out” and said that’s how they always install water softeners. I was taken aback by his lack of professionalism but shook it off. Then we had a water specialist over about 2 months later and he took one look at the set up and said it was piped in wrong and that the water from our well should first go through our whole house water filter and then through the softener instead of to the softener first and that the softener unit was not meant to filter the bigger sediment coming first. I contacted Brett and he responded with a series of very defensive and rude texts and told me not to text him anymore and that I was a problem from the beginning! I would not recommend using this company. Brett’s anger issues and poor customer service are not worth the time or money.

Brett had his guys out to my house to replace a leaking hot water heater. They were out quickly, and even though I was scheduled for 1-4, they were waiting for me in the driveway when I got home at 12:20 (talk about prompt!). Nate & Beau did a great job, and quickly removed the old tank, and got me up & running with the new one. While I'm not looking forward to additional plumbing issues, I at least know who I'll call.

Note: I did not use Brett Sabol Plumbing as a service provider. This is a review regarding how Brett Sabol handles Public Relations. I reached out to Mr. Sabol when one of his technicians bumped my car with the company’s utility vehicle. While there was no damage, it was enough force to rock my car back and forth. I called the number on the side of the vehicle but there was no answer. I proceeded with the following email exchange. Our trucks are very big with a lot of blind spots, so it makes it pretty difficult to park. Which also makes parking very limited for us. Thank you for email. I hired Bret Sabel Plumbing and Heating to replace my sewer and main water line in Northeast Philadelphia. Bret came out and explained the job he was going to do. He also exclaimed to have contracts with American Water and that provides these type of services often. He then emailed me a detailed contract with everything in writing that he was going to complete. I agreed and paid him half of the agreed upon price upfront. He began work on 3/15/22 where he excavated my area of work. Per his contract which I’ve attached he stated “Remove and dispose of all the excavated dirt. We will back fill the entire excavated area with crushed recycled modified concrete, this will give the driveway a strong base for the new concrete.” I was not home but my fiancé recorded him and took pictures of him refilling the areas with the excavated soil. I immediately called and questioned him and he stated, there was too much dirt to remove. I asked him to adhere to the agreement he provided and what he told me in person but he refused saying it was not possible. I specifically chose him over another plumber who was cheaper directly because of that stipulation he provided in writing. When I arrived home from work the whole area had been filled with the soil and some stone he added on top. I found that he installed the brand new upright sewer lines directly in the curb line. I called him but he did not answer, I then sent him a message which stated that the upright pipes in the curb line will not work. He responded in a text that the old pipes were broken and on a angle. The new pipes are now straight and need to be for any future maintenance. The next morning we spoke and I agreed that the pipes need to be straight 90 degrees, however they needed to be moved back so I can put a proper curb in. He told me he would move them back. He then sent a photo a few hours late saying he moved them back. However all he did was push them back causing them to bend and break during his attempt. I told him the pipes need to be straight hot in the curb line and having broken crooked uprights was not appropriate. At that point he packed his equipment and left stating he would not return. When I arrived home I found that the pipes were so crooked you could not even place the proper curb plunger more than 4ft down in a 10ft pipe. I contact 3 separate plumbers who stated the job was no completed properly.

Brett Sabol is unprofessional and untrustworthy. He damaged my concrete my siding my fences my driveway my decorative lampposts and my concrete dividers on the side of my house. All of these things he didn’t need to be anywhere near . and when he was done he told me he had a concrete guy to fix everything at my cost Ofcourse. He also told me one price then demanded more at the end. Now that I’m demanding he fix what he damaged he is now threatening me. I would think twice before you hire Brett Sabol .

Brett Sabel and his team have been a pleasure to work with from the moment we commissioned his services and they've been an extremely valuable resource for all of our plumbing & heating needs. Unfortunately, we've been dealing with a myriad of issues that've required fairly constant calls and texts to Brett, but he's handled all of our inquiries and requests with patience, kindness and calm. More importantly, Brett and his team have proven to be highly knowledgeable in the areas we've needed help with, i.e., leak detection, oil furnace diagnosis, etc., and we've been equally as pleased with his flexible and reasonable rates. We plan to continue using Brett and his team and I'm happy to recommend his services to anyone seeking reliable plumbing and heating.

Our water boiler was leaking and wasn't making hot water anymore. Brett was able to send out a crew next day and remove the old boiler, and install a new electric hot water heater, and run new electrical lines to the water heater. Everything was done in less than a day and working well!

Who knows considering the mess he made of my front yard. I have to pay thousands of dollars to get it repaired or do it myself. Still not done.

It was good. They were professional.

It was really great. I called Brett and they went to our office the next day. His rates were very reasonable.

Everything went exactly how I was told it was going to go and he was honest and did a great job.

Brett was great. I had a plumbing emergency at 6:00AM on a Sunday. Brett answered my call on the first ring, came right out and resolved the issue by around 7AM. Couldn’t have asked for better service.

Brett and his crew did a great job! The job was completed quickly and looks fantastic. Brett was always available to answer all my questions during the entire process. Also, he gave me the quote and was the same guy to do the job!

I called this company 2 times for plumbing issues, the first I was told my pressure was too high and that I need a pressure valve where he charged me I believe 390.00/400.00 in I believe in like August. Ok I didn't have the money so he was helpful and allowed me to pay 100.00 upfront and pay the balance in 2 weeks. Ever since this was installed I have been having issues with water. He told me that is not what the issue is. I recently contacted him because my hot water is either cool or luke warm every where in the house. he said he thinks its the elements in my water heater that I just bought april 2018. He said I should never buy from home depot. Ok he sent his techs out and they came and changed that and charged me 300.00 still not working even thought they say it is. it will be hot for a quick minute and get cold again or luke warm. Doest stay hot. I. Brett wanted to send someone out to change my shower valve and charge me 590.00 but because I paid 300.00 for elements he was only charging me 300.00 for shower valve. I aske him a few questions because I was afraid this wont work. He said he guarantees it will fix hot water in shower but not anywhere else. Ok so at this point I said let me get a second opinion. I had another plumber come out and the first thing he said was that this pressure valve was installed incorrectly it is installed on my water heater not main pipe. So I send a pic to Brett and he called me upset saying he cant believe that I called another plumber after sending someone to my house at 9pm the day before. Well he didn't have to send a person out if things were done correctly. he was very upset that I called another plumber and yelled at me and told me I have been a problem. How when I am paying all this money and the job is not fixed. So anyway I asked him to remove the pressure valve he said no he wont and he wont give me my money back for it. Then he called me back and said he looked at the picture and I was right that this waS NOT installed correctly and that he would have it removed but he refuses to give me money back for it. I did like them but now not so much. I would not recommend him because clearly he is just going by what is being told to him and nor really checking for the issue. Then his techs tell him the water is hot but really it is not I guess just to leave. Now i have to deal with small claims to get my money from him and have him pay all court cost and fees. smh and still no hot water. The other plumber told me the exact problem and it wasnt anything Brett said it was. Plus didn't appreciate him also telling me that he did me a favor by allowing me to make 2 payments on service. He didn't have to allow that,. I told him I didn't have money right now for the pressure valve and he said he will work with me now he wants to throw that in my face, He didn't have to work with me the only reason he did was so he didn't lose that money and I went to another plumber so for him to say he did me a favor that was uncalled for and tell me I have been a problem. Yes I have because my problem is not fixed and I keep shedding out money. Do me a favor do not call them!! point blank

He is young, energetic, and brilliant. He really cares about his customers. Additionally, he is very clean, neat, and doesn't leave any dirt behind.
